aps agree, that voice control is unmatched, tbh i think him and Geoff Tate were the best singers ever, what they did with their voices is out of this world
@@paulmorvantjr.8072 too soon? lol. Not trying to be. Its just a fact. I just read "Watch you bleed". It was a wild time for them. Alot of drugs were done, Izzy was a heroin dealer.... I got blessed at age 17 when in May 1988 when I stumbled upon GNR opening for Maiden in Vancouver Canada. It was the last show they did as a opener 6 weeks later they were the biggest Band on the Planet. This is Peak GNR. Raw.
Maybe if Axl see this performance today it makes him refletion about his mistakes that he could fix it to preserve a better voice than the one he has today 🤔 but still any mistakes, up to date he is one of the best rock singers.

Saw them in January, 1992. This is after Gilby had joined. They were amazing. Also saw them in November, 1987, opening up for Motley Crue. "AFD" had been out for about 4, 5 months. Barely anybody knew who they were. Not only did I not know who they were, I hadn't even HEARD of them! By the same time the following year, complete 180.
I saw them as openers for Cooper and also the Stones. Met Axel at one of Rachtmans clubs once. Some of the guys played in the Drunk Fucks and I got wind of the show at the Troubadour. They did a cover of Honky Tonk Women and they pulled me and another couple guys on stage to sing along. I had my arm around Slash as he was playing and we were singing along. Was a great year lol! 88 or 89?
