Lyrics:
Been hidin' out
And layin' low
It's nothin' new ta me
Well you can always find
a place to go
If you can keep your sanity
They break down the doors
And they rape my rights but
They won't touch me
They scream and yell
And fight all night
You can't tell me
I lose my head
I close my eyes
They won't touch me
'Cause I got somethin'
I been buildin' up inside
For so fuckin' long
They're out ta get me
They won't catch me
I'm innocent
They won't break me
Sometimes it's easy to forget where you're goin'
Sometimes it's harder to leave
And everytime you think you know just what you're doin'
That's when your troubles exceed
They push me in a corner
Just to get me to fight but
They won't touch me
They preach and yell
And fight all night
You can't tell me
I lose my head
I close my eyes
They won't touch me
'Cause I got somethin'
I been buildin' up inside
I'm already gone
Some people got a chip on their shoulder
An some would say it was me
But I didn't buy that fifth of whisky
That you gave me
So I'd be quick to disagree
They're out to get me
They won't catch me
I'm innocent
So you can
Suck me
Take that one to heart - เพลง
If this song doesn’t get you the most hyped you’ve ever been in your life, you are dead inside
Great comment they were hungry and absolutely brutal live
dead inside.
@@jordanpratt3821 😂
Yes yes yes
Listening to this album since I was 6 years old (when it came out). Every fucking song😀 Thanks mom.
Dude, the raw energy! A once in a lifetime band, no one ever came or comes close.
LZ
If you were there as a rocker in 1988, that first album got in your veins. I bet you’re still listening and think it’s sh1t’ot in 20xx,!!
The best G'n'R line up, raw in your face, none of that b0llocks from the later albums, keyboards commercialised. This was it for me...the best band in the late 80's by far!
An early 90s
@@abelmontalvo4052 Agreed! Stradlin and Slash at their best - the future rhythm G 'n R guitarists were too clinical, Stradlin and Slash almost punk like rawness! I listened to appetite on a tape in the 80's, my mate said have you heard this new punk band, I said no - I listened and OMG this was so in your face, it blew me away! There were so many glam hair bands around at that time with slow MTV ballads - G 'n R piss3d all over them and were a breath of fresh air
Without that keyboards wasnt exist "estranged", "this i love", "november rain" and others Master pieces
The sound is explosive; the performance is phenomenal!
And they where fucking addicted and drunk..
Phenomenal
@@abusabsi True!
I do wonder if they were on something here....But how will we ever know?
@@sarahmatz4858 Slash was drunk. Axle was on coke and speed. Duff drunk and smoking weed. Adler on brownstone. Izzy I don’t know.
@@speedyfinalmile lol if Adler was on brownstone in this he wouldn’t be playing this coherent.
Who still listening in 2024
Every day
I miss bandanas
I have only discovered GNR last August, so I guess I'm still jamming to them for a year
Iya saya.setiyap hari
here
Adler s timing is just perfect. What a master piece of performance from the whole band.
Yeah man Steve Adler was amazing.
Cocaine
Actually sounds like he's rushing a bit here, but could just be me
Yeah, and later he couldn't even hit fucking drums, that's why they kicked him out lol
@@alicja7282 that's what cocaine does to us man
There certainly isin't any wonder out there as to how and why this band got so popular. Pure, raw energy. And they had the songs to back up all the hype, image etc. I saw them open for Aerosmith in 1988. It was pretty insane-the crowd was going bonkers and Axl egged them on even further.
You are lucky to see them in '88. I got a chance to see them in '91 and '92 but that was when they just got too big to really be a great rock band. Just way over bloated for my liking. I wasn't crazy about the Illusions records and after they fired Adler and then Izzy left that was the writing on the wall for me. It just wasn't the same. They are one of those bands though, that for a few years made a larger then life impression. There is arguably nothing like Guns n' Roses during that Appetite era.
Ida done anything to see this show
That fucking intro though!!!! Fuck I’m bout to punch my boss square in his shit man
Guns n fuckin roses!!!!
Yeah best part.
Cazzo hai ragione!!!
Me too! Fuck him!
Steven Adler is killing it here. He has been sober for a while, he definitely deserves to tour with them again. He was so happy when they let him do the shows in 2016.
He was in the hospital not long ago. Stab wound, I believe. He's got some mental health issues now for sure.
Damn wth
Say what you may about Axl, the energy he brought to the stage is unmatched by anyone. You could argue for Mick Jagger. But there was no hard rock frontman on a level with this dude!
Yeah he's a showman for sure.
Brian Johnson
@@LautaroVagaCerteza Brian has an amazing voice, but Axl in the 80s-90s was far better frontman
@bogdanrotariu8803 Axl is still an amazing front man. Puts on a hell of a show even with a messed up voice.
The best live performance of any band ever totally unadulterated rock and fuckin roll
it's so good it makes me appreciate being alive in this time period to hear this stuff
There’s no wonder that in 1988 at 11 years old I was blown away by these guys and have been a fan ever since. True rock band.
Posiblemente el mejor álbum de hard rock de la historia....appetive for the destrucción
Adler BANGING on those drums. He had great timing, push, pull, and swing. Drumming is so much more that the technical aspects and I think when you write a song you play it best - I mean, it just makes sense. And I love Axls crazy expression on this cause that's it! Perform it and feel it man. And the kicks too. That's what being a front man is about.
Yeah that man can wail!
So true, Steven Adler is way underrated, he had great feel that really comes through on these old live vids. Matt Sorum often pushed it too much, and their drummers in subsequent lineups all sound sterile like a cover band, but Adler just made you feel every beat right in your dick
Hey - wanted to add something. I made a comment online once and someone didn't understand what I was saying and gave me a hard time etc, lol. Anyway ... I was trying to say that I love the song Patience but I prefer it sans drums - the way it is on the album. I love Adler though so it is nothing against him! But I commented that almost every time I have heard it played live they add drums. And they don't fit the song in some way. They sound out of place to me - kind of incongruent. ... Anyway - I heard a live performance of patience online the other day - with drums of course. And it actually sounded pretty good. Well guess what? You know who was tapping them? Mr. Steven Popcorn Adler. And it came back around to me why. What I've always thought about his drumming and what is is that I probably like about it, is that Adler doesn't overdo it. He does not hit too hard when he shouldn't. He hits softer when he should. It's that whole more is not always better concept. This is not to say that Sorum is not a good drummer, because I believe that he is. I think a drummer should not add fills where they are not needed, they shouldn't always try be as loud as they can, etc. If it needs to be subtle so it doesn't overpower the rest of the music then you play softer and more quiet. And that is why when Adler was playing the drums with patience it didn't clash as much - it seemed to work with the song better than a lot of the times I have heard drums added to patience. Slash has said at least once that lead guitar players often play very fast and intricate and it's really impressive but it doesn't sound good. Sometimes you have to be willing to pull back from showing off what you can do in order to make the song sound better. It's a team effort. And Slash did that - but so did Adler. I got slack cause they thought I thought there were drums on the song originally which of course I know there were not, lol. They didn't get what I was trying to say. It's sounds better without drums, but when they've been added, the times I have felt they went with the song best - or worked with the rest of the music - was when Adler played them.
@@vevvenennevvev5945 😆😂😁. That's a great way to put it! I think a lot of women probably felt it in their pants too! (In more ways that one, lol!)
@@annalisavajda252 When Steven would play, he would put his whole body into it and his hair would be flying around. It totally looked like Animal up there! (From The Muppets). And hell yeah, Ax can wail!
1988 what a year! The good old days.
i was just reliving it in my head....i was 10 and life was sooo much BETTER in EVERY way! I would Easily give up the internet, phones and tech to be back to that day rn.... it Truly was the BEST DECADE EVER🤘
I was 15 and will never forget when they hit the scene !!!!! 🙌🤘🤘
Best band in their prime
Axle's vocals are just epic here!!!!!!!
With everyone telling you what you can and can't do or say what you can or can't say these days this song is very relevant
Explosive sound and performance....Axl incredible ...wild ... frontman....
Superb original Axl rant, his words even more appropriate these days than back then! We need Axl to start ranting again!
The greatest front man leading the greatest band at the exact time we needed them.
The coolest song intro in history
This show’s got a few of ‘em.
Adler is the keith richards of the drums. His groove is magic
I can relate to this song. God did they ever rip it up here.
1:16 Axl doing front kicks. Awesome!!
Glad I was grew up in this era, you won't see this again folks!
wish i was a teen during that era
when madness, drugs, the street, rock were at their peak... My favorite band, the best brother, I love watching these videos from when they were young 🌹💀
I will always love these legends no matter what!
ちょっと変わってるかもしれないけど、当時このビデオをみてこのバンドが好きになりました😊
I’m so pumped after the intro I could punch an elephant
I was at this show. Was so fortunate to see this. Also saw them in Toronto with Aerosmith. Not too long after they got booted from the tour, apparently for partying too much 😂
wasnt life Sooo much fn BETTER then !?
Energy. Attitude. GnR!
why didn't i lived in that times???
Your parents didnt fuck until much later
We were born in the wrong era. I was alive but only ... 10 or 11, lol.
Oh my god they're so raw in this performance, this is GNR AT THEIR WILDEST, and I fuxxing love them 🥰😍🤩😘❤️🔥🤘❤❤
Live and unpolished. From back when bands counted on the energy to deliver an unashamed performance. Guitar solos with all kinds of flat and missed notes. Back ground vocals that are really weak and yet it works anyway because Axl is on fire and the energy delivers BIG TIME. Raw and savage, take no prisoners.. This is how rock should be and yet so very often isn't.
Out Ta Get Me one of my favourite song of this amazing band.....
Back In the day. Axl and that swagger/ swayng edone. Everybody havng a blast, watch Slash gotta love t.n😅
This is probably the best, if not the ONLY live version of this song.. and its fucking amazing.
I much prefer the kidney version
@@IanWhizz hehe.. Edited, thanks
Pure Rock N' Roll!!. 🤟

This live version is...wow
one of the songs that i love the most
Gnr definition of hard rock
I love how the band is so into this performance that every single one of this will scream the curse words that they know will be dubbed out even if they don't normally sing back up on that part! Steven, Duff, all of them! You know, a lot of people like to mention that Matt would sing some back-up to songs while he played drums sometimes and that Steven did not. I will say this. Steven did actually sing some, but much like Lars, he gets his body so into playing and is moving around so much, that if he sang into the mic his voice would probably shake on a lot of the words. But you watch him and sings along to all of the songs. His entire body goes into his swing. When the other members yell the words you can hear them because I don't think they blot out their mics, lol.
Matt is with the Hollywood Vampires now heard him sing and play a whole cover of Ace of Spades recently in Germany so definitely multi talented.
@@annalisavajda252 i heard that too. happy for him. he's a really good guy and drummer. and i love ace of spades! i have heard him sing before - he has a great voice. ... matter of fact - there was a howard stern interview with velvet revolver and howard was being a real ... d*** to scott weiland. seriously. totally crossing the line. if i had been slash or duff or matt i probably would have told him to shove it. anyway, after this went on for a while, matt found a way to pull the conversation and heat off of scott some - steer it away from him a little. he did it very casually so that it didn't look like he was trying to jump in and save him, yet in a way, he was doing that. i think sorum is talented, really intelligent, and a stand-up guy. obviously don't know him! but from every interview i have heard or seen, he seems to be pretty humble and very nice. he is my second favorite gnr drummer of all time.
I saw guns n’ roses in Brisbane Australia in 2017. They were really good. I seen chinese democracy gunners many years before, that was a good show too. Saw Sebastian Bach of skid row fame, hit himself in the head with the microphone while he was swinging it around, was funny but he didn’t miss a beat, lol. Got tickets to guns n’ roses Brisbane 2023, can’t wait! ❤️🇦🇺
Rock stars. 🤟
I remember seeing this when it premiered on MTV 💯🔥💪
Izzy and Steven were a big part of the groove.

The REAL GUNS N ROSES,they were raw pissed off authentic and hungry here
One of my favorite questions to ask any hard rock/metal fan is “if you could see any artist or group on any tour, any year, alive or dead, who would you go see?”
Well, one of my top 5’s, for sure, would be to see GNR on the LA strip in 1987-‘88! Appetite for Destruction is a masterpiece except for the POS song sweet child ‘o mine!!!
Have you heard AC/DC’s earlier stuff, this song and most of album is derived from them
Imagine being a discontented student, then seeing this performance on tv.
There were prob a lot of students there that night blitz out of their minds losing it, lol
ı wanna hear this as live

Not an 80's kid but definitely an axl kid..in '92 I would have been screaming "welcome to the jungle" at age 4 in the loungeroom with my big brother (14)....33 years later....perfectly nurtured by this cool motherfucker in my ears since then...I'm getting a tat that says ( I heart axl) lol
Your Gn’R videos have the clearest best quality than any other on TH-cam. Thank You for posting. 😃

I love when that girl managed to de-tune Slash's guitar at 3.27s and he never quite recovers 😅
Idni listen xleselt they played this show on detuned fuitars but its still my fauvorite show od them .
I saw that too. He pulled it away but too late, he didn't have a correct note the rest of the song...🤣
I don't think she detuned it, slash was just playing out of tune a bit because he was drunk, and that person in the audience just pulled the guitar head down
ho Lee shit. These guys are gonna be huge.

Best album they ever did
No se que pensaba cobain cuando dijo que los guns era una banda mala !!! 😮😮 increíble!!!!
I was a rock chic in the 80s. I suffered a lifetime of abuse. I lived a life of debauchery.
G&R lets you let off steam, for abused kids without a voice, especially. That's all it should do. I've learnt that blessed are the peacemakers. Don't sin in your anger. It's not worth it. Axl Rose 🌹 had to learn it I'm sure. Otherwise he wouldn't be where he is today.
"Why do you look at me when you hate me? Why should I look at you when you make me hate you too..."

As good as it gets
fcking love that note at 4:11
They had it all, the real deal!
This reminds me when I am playing gta5 or red dead redemption and I am wanted by the law
Absolute PEAK G'n'Fn'R right here. I LOVED Motley Crue, but the late 80's belonged to GNR if I'm being honest.
Both absolutely unreal
Tim, I couldn’t agree more. I used to try and hate on Guns because of my Crue loyalty, but… this is just undeniably awesome
I was there!
Used to be my anthem
