This is a great product and I love it. Being on oxygen 24/7 I could not use gas or charcoal anymore but wanted the smoked flavor profile. I looked at all the positive and negative reviews of this product and decided to try it and what I found is that it's awesome. Just enough smoke not to affect my lung disease but enough flavor to satisfy my taste buds in a smaller amount of time. If I want bbq my wife and I will go out to eat. This is perfect for small meals and gatherings. I use the apple wood pecan wood and hickory pellets and they taste great. Ninja is pushing their product so naturally they want you to buy their pellets. More sales for them but also if they recommend you using other brands if something goes wrong like it catches on fire or something that will be grounds for a law suite. So being in business as long as they have they say use our pellets only. I get that because it's common sense and when I don't use their pellets the burden of responsibility is on me. So you can use other pellets at your own risk. After all they are all just wood pellets.. Love the video and keep them coming
My husband bought this after being impressed with my Speedi and Foodi flex drawer. He picked me up from work and said he was watching a really good video on you tube from an American guy that gave a real no nonsense review with cooking. I said “His name isn’t Just a Dad by any chance??” And indeed it was!! I told him I watch all your videos 😁 Thanks for your help as a,ways Mr Dad 😁👍
I picked up the xl version a few months ago. Loving it so far. I wasn't aware that the top fan assembly was also a heat source? I thought it was just for the convection function.
Hello... Notice you have a Weber barbecue. Is the Ninja better, worse or just different??? I've had a Weber for 15 years and I'll be 72 this year so looking for something a little easier. What do you think???
Thank you very much for the review, I have a question please what is the fundamental difference in the taste of the meat between this model and the Ninja grill model Ninja IG601 Foodi XL?
Hi, looking to also get one of these for the summer time and want to say what a great review from start to finish. Looks so easy to use so i think i am sold on getting one 😁
@@boonelipsey5393 I might give it a go. I do like how it's more for a newbie in cooking with smoke. I hardly ever smoked anything so this would be a starter for me. I'm better at the stove, grill, or oven lol
Ninja picked the right guy to review their product...Not a ounce of negativity in him 😉........Not a real smoker , just another air fryer ...My God a shortie review after the original one was posted...Please shoot me!!!!
It’s very solid and well made. It weighs 30+lbs. lots of folks passing judgement who haven’t used it or even touched it. There are plenty of videos showing results of cooking a bunch of different proteins. Is it a dedicated wood smoker, of course not but it goes you a surprisingly close approximation of tare at a fraction of the time spent preparing .
I did the best turkey breast roast I have even cooked on this unit on Thanksgiving. I will be using it in a cooking competition this coming summer. I have also done something that is rare. Smoked and air fried wings. On the same machine.
@@boonelipsey5393 how did the smoked air fried wings come out? I must say, the options with this little unit is pretty impressive. I have a full size camp chef pellet smoker, and I'm really thinking about selling it after seeing the options offered on this. Looks like it uses a lot less pellets too
@@cornpop7176 The wings are very good. I did a turkey roast that was even better. Get the pro with the probe. I have a Treager also. But I won't be getting rid of it. Because you can only smoke a few items on the Ninja. Sometimes you need something a bit bigger.
This is one of the best reviews and demo. Great job and thank you.

Thanks so much, I have heard of others using other pellets, but I have not.
You did a Spectacular and thorough review.
Thanks!!
Thank you kindly!
I just wanted to say, what an incredibly thorough review!
It’s October 22 2023 I keep seeing commercials for this it looks so good and plus I love ninja products 😁 I’m considering getting one 😁
You should!
keep in mind, clean up is a bit more than a standard grill. you have to wipe the inside lid off and clean the grate everytime.
@@JustADadoh okay I can Handel that I be seeing commercials on it at night I wake up and the commercial on maybe that’s a sign to get one 😁😁😁😁😁

Ok I'm convinced, I'm buying one from Costco this week. Lol
Hope you like it!
Just bought got mine delivered today. This is such a great demo review. Thanks
I just got this today and haven’t unboxed yet. Thanks for the review.
Hope you enjoy it!
in theory, would any brand wood pellets work fine?
Have you done a video on cleaning this unit? I just bought one, hoping that the surface would be easy to keep clean.
Coming soon!

Thanks for watching!
What’s the lowest temp it can go to in smoker mode?
Excellent review! Thanks so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gril je to parádní musí být radost s ním pracovat dá se o něm říci že je to člen rodiny zkrátka OK Pepa
Got one today! Thank you!
It does not drain the fat away very well, only complaint, it pools on the grilling plate
yeah I find that also.
Is it large enough to cook 5lbs chicken?
Great review and that’s amazing
Glad to hear and thanks for watching!
Thank you for this detailed review because I could not get mines to smoke 😂
Glad I could help!
Just ordered
Can’t get one anywhere in UK😢
Looks good but disappointed how you have to use their pellets
You can use any food grade pellet.

@@mav48185 I am impressed with the unit. If you do get one. Cook at lower temperatures than the quick guide suggests. A good 10 to 20 lower.
@@boonelipsey5393 cool, thank you so much for the tip
I don’t use their pellets 😂
Can we use other brand of pellet ?
they say not too, but I am just not sure
@@JustADad and you only use their pellet ?
@@lldavid4816 yes,
@@lldavid4816 you can, saves you money too

Bravo spray stumps
Would you be able to use this indoors under a hood?
No
There is no heating element in the top , just the fan
Thanks
9:12 You sure?
I thought about one of these for the back of the truck at the beach 🤔. But I can use a split and get better results.
1760W/120V=14.6A.... me thinks something is wrong with that rating

not worth the price imo
Lots like it is not made well... by how you closed the lid!! I would definitely pass on a purchase of this unit!! 😧👎😥

Ninja almost had me until they try to force you to buy there own pallets. And just like that I’ll pass.
yeah I wish you could use standard pellets too
Are standard pellets too big?
@@hassmaster1 I think they would fit, just not sure why they say not to use them
They don't make money if you buy somebody else's pellets use any kind
It's not designed to damage the grill if you use domestic pellets is it?!
