PA46 Piper Malibu - ILS approach to Portland International KPDX

Today we’re heading to Portland Oregon to visit family. Along the way, I provide a close-up tour of my new panel and share some of the scenery which includes a solid smoke undercast from the fires that are currently ravaging California. During the ILS approach, I make a series of basic mistakes that result in overshooting the approach course and missing the glide slope.
When I finally stop turning buttons to try and fix it, I am able to rejoin the course and get back on the glide slope. Lesson learned, fly the airplane! I’m purposely including the bad landings, poor ATC communication, distractions, and ugly approaches in order the you (like me), can learn what not to do in some cases.
