I never had the warm light on my old kindle, but i do not use it on the ipad so I will probably not need it. I think the only thing I'll miss is the self-adjusting light, but this is so worth it!
Thanks for your excellent videos on the HD 8 Plus. I have had an HD 10 for the last several years and found the size to be too awkward, especially when trying to hold it and read in bed at night. I was considering a Samsung or Lenovo tablet but found that I could really do everything I wanted with a Fire tablet with the Google Store sideloaded. Your reviews and demonstrations sank the deal for me and I ordered the HD8 Plus, the charging dock, and a cover tonight. Thanks again. UPDATE: I have had the HD 8 Plus for over two weeks now and love it so much more than the HD 10. It is much easier to handle, and even though the screen is smaller, the display is still very easy to view and read text, images, and videos. I haven't listened to the speakers that much since I connect via Bluetooth earbuds for better sound, but the speakers seem adequate for a tablet of this size. After owning the HD 10 for so many years, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a Fire tablet give a lot of thought to the 8-inch models.

I have had multiple windows open and streamed videos and it works fine for everything I have put it through. For a tablet that is hundreds of dollars less than the big named brands and having owned some of them, I am very satisfied with the HD 8 Plus.
OMG I'm changing my HD 10 for a HD 8 for the same reason! I think that 10 inches is a display size much larger than I really need. I hope I like my HD 8 as you like yours ❤️

Could you please show how can I integrate a translator like google translator woth voice so I can learn the word. I use babylon but it is very complicated and time consuming. Also there is no Hebrew translator wich is VERY dissatisfing. So if you have any idea about it I will appreciate it tremendously :-)

Great tip with the animation, my mom uses the old fire and I won a fire 8HD 32GB least then I can copy movies and other items, even though limited on this thing, but what she uses and watches old home movies saves, works great for that being a portable device

Put the earphones in pairing mode Usually by leaving the power button pressed until a sound pops up or a blue light. Make sure they're off first and then try it.
Anyone finding the sound lower on the new tablets, its not hardware its software. I have the hd8 2018 and got forced on it Android 9 fire is 7 a few days ago. The sound had dropped by 25% over the old fire is 6 os. Even a booster won't work now making it crackle Alexa sounds more robotic now so her reading books is bad and she's slower. I guess android 9 has more sound options that amazon removed. We get 9 and all the good stuff is removed so we have the same old front end with no options. Amazon need to fix the low sound and why make Alexa less human You can't even see the CPU now so can't find system hogs Bad os
