Yeah that rig - guitar pedals and amp sounded pretty doggone great! Always enjoy a bit of insight into the thought process and what pros really use for a specific gig! Thank you for sharing your experience with us amateurs
Chris your sound is just amazing!! The more i play ,the more i think what i really need to play is just a good amp and maybe a boost /overdrive to push a bit more the tubes ,if i use a distortion is just to change the caracter of the sound ,or a fuzz ...something like a overdriver is a good choice imo 👍🏻
Hi Chris. That's a nice compact pedalboard for whipping on and off stage quickly, with lots of versatility of sound. Look forward to seeing and hearing you at The Robin 2 at the end of the month (at which point, I'll have a little something for you 😉). Kindest wishes and seasons greetings to you, the family, and the band, from Dave and Jan W 😊
Mines easy. Strymon HD stomp tuner and electric eye mudkiller up front. In the loop a mxr 10 band eq and also a LWA endless blockade gate pedal using 4cm. A very practical set up with no tap dancing.
I know you are mostly a strat guy but damn that les paul loves you. well played. I have a similar small board for rock but have combined the delay and EP into one with my belle epoch deluxe. love these gig specific board vids you do. Keep em coming.
Great video! I like simple boards too. I didn't hear the reason for the booster. Maybe you could use a different type of pedal there. Also the Voodoo supply looked a little over kill, but I nick pick there. Inspired me to look at what I should do with my board. Thanks for that!
The Revstar is well suited to your playing style. Surprised you didn't mention ELP in Mr. Powell's history. Did anybody do Pictures at an Exhibition at the CP tribute? I think that would be a really big way to honor him.
Greeting from the States. Just wanted to say thank you for this i feel a bit dumb. I am just learning at the young age of 34 lol took long enough to get started. Anyways brilliant playing and thanks for the help. ✌
I can’t hear anything when you stomp on the Supro delay? Even when it’s off I still hear a bit of ambience. Where is that coming from? Regardless you are my favorite player to listen to right now, even over Mateus Asato 😦🤫🤭
How does one get rid of the annoying low frequency bump in the EP booster? Dip switches or turning down bass on the amp? Anyone having the same experience? Incredible video. Seriously impressed.
I've never liked what a tuner does to my tone at the front of the chain. The buffer does something to the overdrive. Surprised more don't notice it, and just throw on a clip on tuner when you need it and take it off. save space/
I found mine so at first. After a few months I got used to it and now I can’t live without it. Whenever I turn it off I just feels like something’s missing.
I love mine. I use it differently depending on the amp, guitar and style of music. Sometimes with the boost on zero just for the miss it adds, but mostly with it at 10 o clock for boosting solos.
New fan - really love your playing. Curious what model Les Paul are you playing on stage? Curious if you're using a Standard or something that you don't mind dealing with all the sweat/wear? Sounds absolutely wicked.
Hi Cris, love the simplicity and tones. I always have to remember it’s you playing so feet on the ground at my end. Love that Revstar, any recommendations on which one to buy? A review would be great if not already done?👍🇦🇺 Edit: Just found your Revstar review on your channel..🤐
So weird. I just played a Cosy bash. Srsly. In Australia. My old workplace, and we're doing it again tonight only louder with a full rig :) I'm leaving the Cosy for a new job, it's not a mega-drummer. I'm not that well-connected I loled every time you said "Cosy". Sorry but it was like you were complimenting my old workplace.
Once i set my ep on my pedal another whole spectrum of sound is introduce not gonna rid that ever i had simple pedalboard also fuzzface ts ep boostrr and echoplex with rv6
Interesting. I watch your band performances and you are a really good guitar player and the band sounds good but I drift. When you do the close-up solo guitar stuff I find myself mesmerized, you play so...personally? Not sure how to describe it. But I could listen to your solo stuff for a long time without drifting. Just sayin'....
polytune (tc electronics) [tuner]
kismet (ramble fx) [overdrive, distortion]
ep booster (xotic) [booster]
supro delay (supro) [delay, echo, looper]
Man your playing just never gets old. Friday Fretworks is such a gem! Thank you for doin it.
This bloke's got more chops than a bloody butcher's knife! Killer playing mate!
Is it me or are you one of the nicest guys on the planet?
Haha. I've been called worse! Thank you, Stuart :)
Yes, he is Stuart. A very nice guy, and a wicked guitarist 😃
I was thinking the same thing. I could not picture him angry.
You're taking off mate - all the best to you...
Yay! Rock tones, sweet!
Anger can be beautifull.
Grtz!
Stellar playing brother. Soothing to my soul. You have great feel...
Yeah that rig - guitar pedals and amp sounded pretty doggone great! Always enjoy a bit of insight into the thought process and what pros really use for a specific gig! Thank you for sharing your experience with us amateurs
Could listen to you play all day...
I’m only 30 seconds in, and that solo is 🔥🔥🔥!!!!!
Chris your sound is just amazing!!

You’re a great player! It’s nice reminder that you don’t need a 100 sounds to make music...nice tones.
Killer man.. just killer playing!!
Instablaster...
Dude I came for the pedalboard part but ended up watching the ending playthrough 3 times. That sounds soooo good ahhhhh
size doesn't matter, it's all from the fingers.... greets from good ol' germany!
I really enjoyed that bit of playing Thanks!
Hearing Chris with a Lester in hand has me feeling some type of way.
Bring it out more, man. You sound great with it.
Nice one. I took the decision to remove the Tuna from my pedalboard recently, and replaced it with a Haddock.
Watching this Vid is a nice Birthday present for me today!! Keep up the great music and playing
What a sound from that Yamaha 😍
Your vibrato is out of this world mate! Beautiful.

The playing and footwear are on par. Great demo.

Great playing and Tones, cool small format board!!
Ah.... Friday wouldn't be Friday without Friday Fretworks!
That’s some nice Bernie Marsden tone there. That Yamaha sounds fantastic.
Fun video mate ! Good choices and small boards are great for travel ! Rock on!
Not thought of a battery pack to cut down on needing mains?
Unbelievable guitarist
The solo in the start made me subscribe. Keep the great work
I like your right hand technique, how you hold the pick when using your fingers
That's what I'm thinking about!!! Saludos de Puerto Rico!!!!
Late to the party, but dude your right hand is a frikken Swiss army knife. You're a true guitarfluencer.
The Revstar is well suited to your playing style. Surprised you didn't mention ELP in Mr. Powell's history. Did anybody do Pictures at an Exhibition at the CP tribute? I think that would be a really big way to honor him.
Great video about your solos! Oh yeah, it was about small pedalboards.
Super Mini Flyer Rig! - Dude Your Playin is All Feels' Without Spinnin The Wheels' Sweet, Thoughtful Notes Bro! _ Way Nice' 🎸🔊🎼Peace!✌🇬🇧🇺🇸
Sounds great, with versatility. Love what you do.😁♥️
Greeting from the States. Just wanted to say thank you for this i feel a bit dumb. I am just learning at the young age of 34 lol took long enough to get started. Anyways brilliant playing and thanks for the help. ✌
Maybe trade the board tuner for a headstock tuner and pull the power supply and use 9 volts. Give you more room for more pedals.
is that Chuck Norris playing the drums there?
Hahahahahahaha
Hello Chris. Do you use a compressor pedal ? Thanks for your answer and help. Kind regards from France 🇫🇷
I can’t hear anything when you stomp on the Supro delay? Even when it’s off I still hear a bit of ambience. Where is that coming from?
Regardless you are my favorite player to listen to right now, even over Mateus Asato 😦🤫🤭
Same. Mateus is amazing technically and speed wise (sometimes to his detriment imo), but Chris just has that dynamic touch.
You could use the cheapest guitar and pedals and sound so good I'd think I need them. When what I really need is a wristwatch and open cuffs.
This game at a perfect time! Getting a brand new guitar very soon! I’d love to show you guys! If y’all would like to see it that would be cool!
I love new guitars! New guitar days are special.
Great stuff !Can you recommend a wah wah that doesn’t cause you to make a mad wah -wah face ?
Brilliant! Sorry I won't be there for the gig!
Cheers Chris, sounding great, do love the soul/rock of early Whitesnake. :)
I heard some Slash in the first solo
Great video. Thank you Chris!
Dude I love your playing! Greetings from Panama 🇵🇦
I WOULD DITCH THE POWER AND USE A BATTERY
IMO your playing is very dynamic. So I would add a compressor.
Damn tasty licks, inspired again. Thx.
Nice board man, also love Bob's Cozy influence 👍
Nice one!
Neil Murray ... Hero 😊
Great tones Chris ! Ronnie Montrose like at 9:56.
Chuck Norris on drums??? Wow!
No bluesbreaker style OD? IMPOSTER! What have you done with Chris Buck?
Nice video and setup, but that tone and playing - killer!
Get a Cioks DC5 and mount it underneath the board!
How does one get rid of the annoying low frequency bump in the EP booster? Dip switches or turning down bass on the amp? Anyone having the same experience? Incredible video. Seriously impressed.
Jerry thanks! I just never had the ep booster working for me so good that it ‘d stay on my board.
I've never liked what a tuner does to my tone at the front of the chain. The buffer does something to the overdrive. Surprised more don't notice it, and just throw on a clip on tuner when you need it and take it off. save space/
Good Googly Moogly! NIce nice nice! Very simple and so effective.
Do you find the EP Booster to ever been too bassy or boomy? I love a lot about it but I have a tough time keeping it on my board.
Depends on the amp. Sometimes great pedals just don’t suit certain amps and speakers. 4x12s are notorious for this. All the best
Where in the chain do you have it? Other pedals? Give me a quick pedal board preview if you don't mind.

Great tone ! Hi from Spain
Boy you can play!
New fan - really love your playing. Curious what model Les Paul are you playing on stage? Curious if you're using a Standard or something that you don't mind dealing with all the sweat/wear? Sounds absolutely wicked.
Solid as ever 😎🎸✅
Simple is better. I have an eventide space, dod rubberneck, and a tuner. My amps overdrive is controlled via volume pedal/knob.
Scroll forward to 3:00 to the actual pedalboard part.
what amplfifier have you there ?
What is the actual board you are using?
Polytune
OCD
STRYMON CLOUDBURST
HALL OF FAME 2
FLASHBACK MINI
DITTO
In my music world? You are fast becomin' 'The Man' (Know the names Chris... {Did I mention I'm 72yrs of age ;) )
Hi Cris, love the simplicity and tones. I always have to remember it’s you playing so feet on the ground at my end.
Love that Revstar, any recommendations on which one to buy? A review would be great if not already done?👍🇦🇺
Edit: Just found your Revstar review on your channel..🤐
Hey man. Thank you! Definitely check out the 502 would be my advice - they're great guitars!
Buck And Evans, Thanks for the tip.. All the best to you heading in to the new year..👍🇦🇺
B&E, do you dig Frank Zappa?
So weird. I just played a Cosy bash. Srsly. In Australia. My old workplace, and we're doing it again tonight only louder with a full rig :)

Great playing if you don't mind what amp are you using? Is that the Tweed man in Guitar Rig?
Yes, can you talk on amp voice, etc..
Cheers! This one was actually the Orange amp model - it seemed to work better with the Kismet :)
He finally gets on with it at 2:58
Sorry for wasting 2 minutes 58 seconds of your life…

The smacking noises this guy makes while talking is too annoying to watch this video.
