The game doesn't appear to have any real GI. Just messy combination of ugly legacy fakes that keep falling apart everywhere. In fact it's so sad to see that engine which is supposed to power next decade of ArmA games already feels outdated. I still cringe in pain when I remember than indirect contact shadows under vehicles are actually baked decals instead of generated by at least high accuracy AO, let alone proper GI. 😩

The mod support and development A3 has had over the last ten years is why it’s so much farther ahead, it used the same shit engine that A2 used. You can keep your “vault” only limited movements, hand holding navigation, and shit comms 😂 Reforger is a test bed for A4, and even as an experiment, it wipes it’s ass with prior titles.

Keep in mind - If you want to achieve victory, never build an armory first! Players will otherwise drain precious early game resources that would be better spent on jeeps instead. After all, rocket launchers are not needed early on, given teams don't have armored vehicles yet, and the base rifle is reasonably effective. Keep also in mind - Bases take much longer to capture if they have structures built. This can considerably slow down enemy advance, compared to an empty base which takes less than a minute to capture. Not enough time for anyone to react! Last tip: Never fill your logistic truck from a base's resources. Always start empty, fill them at dedicated spots on the map shown by a green crates symbol.
all true, but not always. first build antena and push bases you have now connection, do your loadout after sometime when main base have at least 1500 supplies, taking resources from bases is allowed (sometimes the only way to push forward) BUT ONLY and ONLY IF that base if full of supplies and its fully build with all services, and only enough supplies to build antena for next base, but all can change depends how the game goes, also look for hidden supplies !
Just don't take a random vehicle and run off with your friends to do god only knows what. my advice is STOP BEING SO SHY! Talk to me! You'd have a medical team, vehicle repair, ect If you just communicate instead of all 64 people trying to be a one man army

@@StevenSeagul783 ya I had ps5 first but it's really cool having my Xbox x I like the HD updates on some Xbox 360 games on it also the game pass is great same with the cloud gaming if I sign in on ur phone and someone else signs in ur Xbox x u can play any game with ur buddy that comes over like state of decay 2 or skate 3 . u need to get a few of the good ones on disc only like 50 cent blood on the sand or left for dead 1 and 2 but GOD DAMN it's great to have and more variety of local multiplayer games for sure id say

Please, I beg you BI, remove the mouse acceleration so I can actually install this and play this game. I purchased it on release but the existence of mouse acceleration means I'm unable to transfer mouse settings from other BI titles nor use a setting that feels good.
We need the official servers to have more people, even if it’s just 10 more people. What it needs the most though is team balancing, it’s very rough to start in a fresh server as a Russian with 2 team mates, while the US has roughly 8 or more. A small feature, id love to see mines weigh less. I feel like they’re hardly used given they take a lot of space, and if you’re using controller it’s hard to quickly move mines into a vehicle. Other than that the game runs really well, the community servers are fun despite being full 99% of the time. I can’t wait for helicopter door gunners and free building. I hope when free building comes out you can completely demolish enemy fobs entirely to destroy so messing with supply chains feels like it has meaning
I fell in yearned for Arma 2, just from youtube, brought my first rig for Arma 3 fell in love, married it with the mods. In this game , I have to fight my way to the obj, hold and defend... That's sick. this isn't even Arma 4, I'm excited for both.
how will conflict play out when final strike milestone is reached? Will we be able to place our main base anywhere we want? Will there still be FIA bases we have to captures?
Community manager can you all do a tutorial on making a terrain. I know it's a long time ago but in the original farcry game they did something similar and it helped users get off the ground making many terrains and game modes.
I hope than one day we can have a conflict mode that is PVE, like the one that we had in Arma 2, where base building and commands could be controlled by an AI commander or a Player commander. That would be the deal for me ♥
Hey, I'm very, very, VERY new to mission building. Is there good resources on how to get better on individual tasks. Example: making loadouts, bringing in molded items into enfusion world editor, programming AI to perform tasks
Imo the fact bases get a passive amount of supplies is making early game go way to fast. I feel like supplies should only be acquire from supply depots, forcing players to transport supplies and actually build up defence points in bases more.

@@armouredco6935 BI has said they are saving that for A4. Im not exactly sure why but my headcanon is we play as airborne forces. but yeah, I agree. tank battles in the modded servers are awesome

The game is made with so much love. I love it. But I'm afraid, that in the modern gaming landscape, it will drown in the amount of alternatives. That would be very sad. When you imagine what Arma did for the community and how it changed the gaming world in the past.
If you bought this for the xbox as I did, you will be plagued with issues and problems that were there on day 1 stay clear unless you buy for pc which although still buggy is "aparrently" playable. As its all modded there are tons of faults,, like get in a car you can't look left or right. The "community" fixed this game so sod off Arma development you ripped us off. Still day 1 faults broken wtf !
Purchased this for 32 dollar's on my series x a couple days ago. Whej.i can get into a game. Its the beat 32 dollars ive ever spent, otherwise mods having to downlowd at 4mbs really blows.

I really like vanilla conflict, but the 16 on a side that official servers currently support isn’t enough for the terrain sizes.
The goal is more in the future.

There is going to be played commander and AI commander. It kind of already has AI commanding. But there are conflict PvE servers like Chillfam.

Reforger is not about how it looks it’s about how it feels. It’s about immersion, scope and realism not cutting edge graphics
