    Visit veganlinked.com/professionals/korin-sutton-online-fitness-coach-and-sports-nutritionist/ for more info and links to Korin online. This video was shot and a pants after being derailed by historic rainfall. The ideal location was flooded so we picked a billiard room in the back of a vegan kava bar. Doing whatever it takes to capture moments like these and help normalize veganism to accelerate the movement!

    Hooah! I have a similar story. US Army veteran and former Army National Guardsman here. Went vegan in 2016, but was veggie for a year before that. Gary Yourofsky was a major catalyst in getting me to start reconsidering my lifestyle. I also interviewed a few people when I had my radio show and they set me on the intellectual and reflective path. Peter Singer was one of them. I'm an educator, a critical thinker, and compassionate. Adopting a vegan lifestyle changed me from the inside out. Never going back.

    You are awesome in so many ways. You served our country you saw the devastation of the way animals are just solely raised for consumption and you made the ethical switch to go plant-based. I have been plant-based for over 22 years. My day of reckoning is when I saw on HBO a presentation from PETA. From that point going forward I could not eat dairy cheese or meat. I cried on and off for days from the memory ingrained in my mind from those animals being slaughtered. The younger generation has to be brought up with compassion towards all animals all animals.❤ ❤❤

    My sister is a personal trainer/athlete and when I told her was going 100% plant based she told me she "looked into that" and decided not to because she's convinced vegan athletes muscle tone " looks mushy" to her and she doesn't want her muscles to look like that (made me roll my eyes) then she went on about how when she eats plants she gets too hungry and starts eating a bunch of other things because she wasn't satisfied (which I'm not sure what she's truly doing or not there). She has increased her consumption of protein lately and is eating about 4-5eggs in the morning alone, eating a ton of supplements during her day because she doesn't feel well otherwise and trying figure out her low energy problems to the point of low dose thyroid med. Meanwhile, I'm not jacked but feel a million times better and can easily reduce supplements during my day (which I have) crazy!

      Eggs are horrible
      There are healthier, safer options than eggs that are more sustainable without exploiting animals. They're high in cholesterol and have dangerous bacteria on them. If you just ate the whites that would be healthier but you're still displacing even healthier whole plant foods that are more sustainable and profoundly more compassionate. The male chick's are ground up, the females bred to produce 30 times as many as they naturally can and each time they lay eggs is excruciatingly painful, and they're crowded into horrific living conditions that are breeding grounds for zoonotic diseases.
      This video sums it up nicely: th-cam.com/video/utPkDP3T7R4/w-d-xo.html
      And this video as well: th-cam.com/video/JRpgSvzZNcI/w-d-xo.html
      Because there is absolutely no need to consume eggs there is absolutely no reason to exploit chickens for this.They have engineered these birds to produce an egg every day instead of their natural rate of one a month. Imagine having to endure a period not 12 times a year but now 365 times a year. This of course results in a drastically shorter lifespan. Male chic's of course are ground up alive because they are of no use.
      Second, they're unhealthy compared to healthier vegan options and even dangerous. So not only are they unethical and cruel and unnecessary because we can eat plants instead, they are even risky to consume.

    Whats the difference between vegetarian and vegan ??anybody thank you!

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know why anyone would be vegetarian unless they just for some reason had an aversion to eating animals, didn't care about them enough to not consume their secretions. Veganism is a philosophy to not exploit animals at all. So we don't consume their body parts, organs or secretions whereas vegetarians consume their secretions. The overwhelming majority of people are lactose intolerant and shouldn't be vegetarian. So I don't really know what the point of vegetarianism is when it's not ethical or healthy or sustainable. But a well-planned vegan diet is the most sustainable, healthy and ethical.

    I disagree that it is important for vegans to be body builders or even perceived as "physically fit" or heterosexual. First of all, there is a big question as to whether or not being a body builder is even healthy considering the dietary requirements of the sport and eating excessively, as well as the long-term damage to the body from lifting heavy weights for 30 + years. There are strength training exercises that one can do that are for toning muscle but not body building per se. The only value I can see to vegan body building is that it proves to people interested in that sport that eating plant-based foods is not an obstacle.

    • @jeovanniperez3949
      @jeovanniperez3949 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Bodybuilding it’s is not healthy like those IFBB pros you see , but you can still lift weights for a lifetime because strength training is good for the heart and living an active lifestyles you just don’t lift the same intensity as you would when you are competing i technically do bodybuilding cus that’s how my workouts look like and I lift like 5x days I just don’t compete cus it really isn’t healthy to be sub 5% bodyfat, it’s even better when you are vegan
