      Same. It's been quite the journey, especially coming to terms with the fact that it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to even get any of my friends, family to even consider any points regarding veganism. I've been so much more at peace since I gave up on them and just accepted that they can't ( for whatever reason ) remove the blinders. Absolutely excellent. I'm 62 and vegan for 7 years. Someone close to me is going through severe health problems now as a result of eating meat all his life. He is in his mid 70s. About 2 years ago he underwent a kidney transplant due to kidney failure. The main culprit was having taking high blood pressure medications since age 40, so nearly 40 years now of taking that medication. The high blood pressure was from arteriosclerosis due to animal plaque build-up in the arteries. Because of the immune-suppressing anti-rejection drugs he must take now to avoid his body rejecting his new kidney, he has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

      It's the facts. I been preaching organic vegan diet since at least 2008. People usually get defensive because they have emotion ties to food and also suffer food addiction. But truth is truth. The human biology shows we aren't meant to eat meat. We don't have the teeth, the strong stomach acid , intestinal length or anything else.

    I changed to a plant based eating in 2009, Dr. McDougall. Went from apprx. 300 lb, Diabetes 2, HBP, 320 Cholesterol, on 5 different meds. Unable to walk 20 ft without having to stop and catch my breath. All from eat meat, dairy and processed foods. Within 9 months my weight 180, cured diabetes 2, BP normal, cholesterol 160, and NO MEDICATIONS! Now I walk 5-6+ miles briskly without breaking a sweat. I'll NEVER go back to eating that which this body was NEVER designed for.... animals. If you bother to compare human biology to a carnivore you will see that we are NOTHING like them. The correct comparison would be to Chimpanzees. We have 99% of the same DNA. They eat vegetables and fruit, and could rip the arms off any one of these meat eaters and beat them with them. 😆

    The basic teachings of Buddhism is “Cause and Effect”. Any one can always try to help Another beings with Their intelligence or wisdom. Failing which is just failing to prevent a cause from happening but eventually the cause will happen if IT is comitted. So much so that in science “if there is “an action there is a reaction”. There is no action that will be Met without a reaction! If we are causing an animal to suffer then we will suffer the same too! There is no escape for an action especially a bad one.

    It's crazy to equate salads with bland foods. Fruits and leafy greens are the standard diet of primates. We are primates. You can have tasty meals without vegan cheese. We are the onky creatures on earth that choose to eat processed foods, cooked foods. It's irrelevant that cooking may release more nutrition in some foods and make other foods edible. That's great if you're in starvation mode, but we're not starving. The thing we can't have with the natural primate diet is our addictions. I know, I'm addicted to beans and spicy foods in cooked form, but I admit it's an addiction. It's also a cheap and easy way to get calories (that I don't need).

      If vegetables are making you sick, perhaps it's the way you are preparing them or you just need time to acclimate. There are tens if not hundreds of thousands of edible plant options to choose from between legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. You can tailor a well planned vegan diet to your specific individualized needs. And if you need assistance then you consult a dietitian or nutritionist or physician that ideally practices lifestyle medicines since that is evidence-based and entirely plant-based and therefore they will know how to help you get your body on the right track.

    @ VeganLinked -------- Hello🙋
    I have noticed that you're interviewing style has become more "opened." I do mean that in a complimentary way. That seems to be the case with your more recent interviews and with people that have been very strongly vegan for awhile. And what do I mean by "opened?" More than a few times you seem to genuinely consider that the Non-vegan person(s) that your guest is referring to, is/are perhaps just not yet fully understanding the ethical part about being vegan. And you've shared that possibility with your guests even after they voice their very strong opinions about how they will get in peoples' faces when they have opposing views. I think you are going in a good direction with your guests and I am enjoying your presentations tremendously.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! In the beginning I was just thinking about making closet so I was kind of just cookie cutter asking questions that I would later turn it to collages. And I didn't really want to be in the interview at all because it wasn't necessary or first. And it feels awkward lol. But I am getting more comfortable conversing, exploring and probing their perspectives, and interjecting what I learn with people and capturing that. You may see more of me progressing in this way from time to time with future releases but some of them that are coming are over a year old that I've been archiving. So you may see some of the old style and future videos. I have about 70 that I haven't even released yet, two-thirds of which are already edited. Some of these are done in such a rush and in such less than ideal locations that it's really hard to focus but I do what I can under these run-and-gun circumstances flying solo with zero budget :)
