I remember reading A Raisin in the Sun and liking it (the movie too!). I definitely need to read Metamorphoses! My favorite that I read last month was The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. I feel like you might like that one, although I haven't quite nailed down your taste 100% (you are very eclectic, and that is a WONDERFUL thing-- too many readers only read one genre or topic). Stay curious!
I don't think I've read a book in over a year! Your enthusiasm reminds me how much I love to do it and I'm going to start scheduling the time. I have a
Seems like a lot of good reads overall for February 😊. Metamorphosis and A Raisin in the Sun are on my radar. I’d love to see it performed, but I also like to read plays before I see them because I feel like I miss a lot of I don’t do that. I recently watched the 2023 musical version of The Color Purple and really liked it. But I think it’s better to have read the book before watching it because there are some things which may not make complete sense if you haven’t. Hope your March is off to a great start!
Oh I haven’t read color purple yet but it will be in 2024! I think you’ll really love Metamorphosis and Raisin in Sun. Beautiful in very different ways.
I DNFed Life After Life when I first read it. But after a retry I have enjoyed it and gave it 8/10. I can see your reasoning though. I had lower expectations ı guess 😊 I have read Before the Coffee Gets Cold and enjoyed it. I will try the second book but I am afraid it could be very similiar to the first one.
Life after life wasn’t horrible but I don’t know what the point was as she never chose her life, the book never says why it changed the next time nor why it happened at all… coffee gets cold didn’t explain why that happened but did have a clear point!

I felt the same about Life After Life.
Nice to know it wasn’t just me. I love a good sci fi but give me something 🤣
