A re-read of TJ and Amal, a wonderful queer comic. I have the physical book but it was originally a webcomic and it's fully available online. I don't read much romance but this one gets me emotional every time.

Have you watched the new Dune 2 movie? Would like your review 😂. I thought it was better than the book.

I found it weird how little the meteor hitting the earth came up in The Calculating Stars. I remember reading a banal scene about the main character asking her husband if he wants his sandwich made with rye bread or some other bread and I just screamed: ISN'T THE WORLD ENDING? and then just lost all hope for my enjoyment of the novel, lol. Opening vibes did not match rest-of-book vibes for me 😂. On a positive vibe - I read and loved Susan Juby's new book, the follow-up to the great cozy, amusing Mindful of Murder which I also enjoyed a lot. Def recommend.

Hello! I’ve been watching you for a long period of time! I love your videos but I recommend A Time To Kill by John Grisham. I read The Testament by him last month and I gave the book 5stars! I am looking into reading more by the author and will like to recommend a book I have not read by him yet and it’s his first book but it’s a thriller and sounds really GOOD!!! I love his writing and would love to hear what you think of it. This is a Thriller so that’s why I’m recommending it to you because you’ve had bad luck. Regarding The Goblin emperor, if you don't like the MC you will absolutely despise the book. I found him extremely irritating and shallow (can explain why if anyone wants to hear it, but spoiler alert). I read all 3 books in the series and by the end of the series I felt the author hates women. Women are there to be raped, killed, tortured, have miscarriages, use their bodies to get what they want etc. I know I'm going against popular opinion here but it is what it is 😂

If you ever see The Hopkins Manuscript by RC Sherriff at a book sale, pick it up and peruse it. It came out in 1939 in England, its about what people do when they find out that the Moon is going to be crashing into the Earth, intriguing and thought provoking, killer ending. So far, this is the most interesting book that I have read this year. But I have plenty more.

I did preorder the new Benjamin Stevenson book (Everyone On This Train is a Suspect, er whatever) and I have to go pick it up from my local book store! I have also been very slowly (i mean, trying to be slow…) devouring the Veronica Speedwell series. I’m normally of a similar opinion to yours- I don’t love historical fiction, especially when there is no fantasy involved lol. I especially have little interest in Victorian or Edwardian pieces! But, Speedwell’s character is just so endearing to me. The plotting is always so strong and I also adore the extremely slow burn romance. It is a standalone. The other books listed on goodreads are the start of a new series in the same world. As of yet, none of those books are a direct sequel to the Goblin Emperor (which is so good btw. Hope you love it!)

@@TheEickert I see. The numbering on goodreads can be misleading. I'll check it out 🙂

Hi Emily ! Happy to see you are doing well. Hope the end of the reading slump is near. Regarding recommendations on the Israel/Palestine conflict, I would recommend "Ten myths about Israel" by Ilan Pappé which I've been selling to my friends as "antizionism for dummies". It's quite short but packs a punch and the author references a lot of other works (such as The Hundred Year's War on Palestine) which in turns is a great ressource for more recommendations. What I specifically appreciate about this book is that it goes through a lot of the talking points we hear about often on the news and such, and deconstructs them in a very digestable manner. Hope you have a great day - and best wishes to anyone in the comment section reading this !

I don't want to be invasive, but I wonder where is Pear, the mother of the kittens? Why don't we see her more often in the videos? Sorry if you already spoke about this and I am behind! Love your videos and you're such a huge inspiration for me! Honestly, all the books I read are the ones you recommend! And I love them 😄❤️😘
