Watching a knowledgeable musician react to Angelina is so enjoyable. Especially when you’re a Billie Holiday fan. Angelina is in a class by herself. Get ready to see her evolve and demolish songs in other genres. It’s hard to think that such a young girl can actually startle you when she begins a song, but trust me, that continues today. It seems like you might move on chronologically and watch Summertime or Bang, Bang from this same show. Both are jaw-dropping. The maturity of style is not believable. I’m old-I always loved Bang, Bang-both when Cher and Nancy Sinatra did it in the 60’s. You wouldn’t think it’s possible for Angelina to out-soul either of them, but her performance is absolutely my favorite. Angelina with just a guitar backing her is perfect. Her ability to interpret lyrics, honestly, is the best I’ve ever heard. In Bang, Bang, you’ll see a child capture the melancholy and deliver it in a way that wrenches your soul. And Summertime? She just kills it. It’s Angelina already putting her own spin on a classic and changing how you remember that song. And then you’ll see Angelina branching out, becoming better, her voice maturing over the next six years. But always at the center of her performances is that warm, resonant, soulful, slightly raspy voice that draws you in. I wish this was my line, but it’s repeated by many commenters: Angelina’s voice is like a drug.

Awesome analysis, Soul. I actually discovered Angelina immediately after having a heart attack and you can rest assured that all she has done in the meantime is help to keep me alive. 😂. When you hear more of her stylistic range you will get a better sense of what I mean by the healing powers of her music. Such an incredible young person. It’s hard to explain what still awaits you. It’s not more of the same. There is of course more classic jazz standards, but her sound, her different ways of projecting emotionally, new and different and exciting vocal skills that you’ll discover in her voice, It’s like an expanding supernova filling up your musical universe. After the judges heard her audition with "Gloomy Sunday", they thought they might have a star on their hands. After hearing this, they were certain. Of the four songs she performs in this competition, this is my favorite. On stage with all the other singers for the judges cuts, she performs a very difficult song a cappella. And she just nails it. She will end up turning 8 and winning the show in a landslide. Her next two performances are fantastic. Looking forward to your reaction to them. 👍😊

It is a cellphone video that had poor audio, so Rusty just dubbed the audio from the album over the poor audio of the video. I know for me, when I have to wait too long between Angelina reactions I have to start taking my Angelina withdrawal medication. The tone and texture of Angelina's voice singing the Billie Holiday version of this classic a cappella at age 7 is just astonishing, and the amount of character and soulfulness in her voice is breathtaking. angelina sings the same songs a capella , acoustic , small band , big band , and orchestra. writes own music and plays flute , violin , guitar and piano. about a year ago i read that she was close to mastering sax and a couple other stringed instuments. she is constantly changing the arrangements of these classics. u will love her " cheek to cheek " it's on her "it's magic " album.... there are several mash-ups of her and billie that are great...

I know for me, when I have to wait too long between Angelina reactions I have to start taking my Angelina withdrawal medication. The tone and texture of Angelina's voice singing the Billie Holiday version of this classic a cappella at age 7 is just astonishing, and the amount of character and soulfulness in her voice is breathtaking. You are going to love her last two performances from Norway's Got Talent, 2014, Bang Bang and Summertime.

But I'm addicted to Angelina and more so to good reaction videos to Angelina.
But with your video, I'm actually LEARNING something.
You dissect it, and go back to point out things I had no clue of.
The lows, then the highs, and especially the queue at the very beginning.
I think I learned more in this video than from any other reaction.

angelina sings the same songs a capella , acoustic , small band , big band , and orchestra. writes own music and plays flute , violin , guitar and piano. about a year ago i read that she was close to mastering sax and a couple other stringed instuments.
she is constantly changing the arrangements of these classics. u will love her " cheek to cheek " it's on her "it's magic " album....
there are several mash-ups of her and billie that are great...
