I listened to Adele’s version and I did not get drawn in or get chills, she is a very good vocalist. I listened to Angelina’s version and lost my breath and teared up, this happens with each of AJ performances she forces you to feel like no other has.
With Angelina's physical development as she ages one can hear the increasing power in her voice! She is really getting tall and with that as she gets older I expect her lung capacity to grow. I think we'll be amazed at the power this girl can generate with her voice in another 5 years! When you combine her ability to communicate emotion, her lovely vocal timbre and her vocal range with her increasing power I can't think of any other singer who will be on par with our lovely angel.

I don't believe a non-jazz singer, even as one as good as Adele, can penetrate the human soul with heartfelt ballads as deeply as a true jazz singer. Angelina was reared on jazz ever since she was a baby. She is able to incorporate nuance and inflections she first heard from singers like Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. Amy was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time and actually redefined the genre but Angelina has redefined the genre after Amy, taking the listener to the stratosphere and beyond.
I believe I can see why she covered this so quickly and why she relates to this song. Adel maybe singing about her divorce. I think Angelina is singing about all the choices she made about her life before she was old enough. Choices that have affected her and her family now. It has altered the course of the life of her whole families. We can only listen in awe. Beautiful.

We angels owe so much to Mery along with the rest of Angelina's family for providing such a loving environment, allowing her talent to blossom. Just listened to Adele singing this song live. To be honest, I was disappointed. Adele appeared to be struggling, especially towards the end. It was very ragged. In addition, we can certainly compare how each performance appealed to our emotions and that I unapologetically say that Adel’s version did not come close to moving my emotion needle like Angelina’s version did. She is truly phenomenal. If you get the chance, and I really hope you do, please do a reaction to Poppy. As a songwriter, I think you'll enjoy her talent at melodies and lyrics, and her bravery to incorporate sounds she loves from any genre she feels like in a particular song. She's made four full length studio albums now, and a great selection of EPs. She started with an alternative pop sound, went bubblegum electro, then started experimenting with metal and heavy industrial sounds and noise rock, and pulls it off amazingly well. Start wherever you want, each of her eras is uniquely great imo.
Angelina keeps getting better, in my opinion, this is one of her two best performances, the other being "I Put a Spell on You" which weighted based on age I would put first. She just employed so many techniques and textures to get all the emotion into this Adele cover. One of the amazing things about Angelina is that she hasn't just put out a few amazing songs. No, she has produced them in the 100's and not any of them could be considered just ok like a mix of songs you would expect from any other great artist where they have a few mediocre uninspiring songs on any album. All of Angelina's songs are amazing, not one blah song even as the smallest child.
It's OK to compare Angelina and Adele. Angelina is not a threat to Adele's career. Adele is going to be just fine. The truth to my ears is that Angelina is a superior vocalist. Superior to pretty much everyone. Its OK to say it. Truth is, if Adele hears Angelina, she knows it anyways and will still write, sing and have plenty of fans, including myself.
Adele is 30; Angelina is 15. To do a cover on this song at the level of vocal construction to someone of 30, shows an artistry beyond her years. I don't know if anyone has picked up from this cover, Angelina is showing glimpses of even more vocal capabilities. By the time she's 30, she will display more vocal gymnastics than any top artist for this time. She's fine tuning what she has now, but it's not over. This is not her limit. When the time comes & she has an album of her own songs, there will be those who will attempt covers of her material. Adele, Whitney Houston, to name a few are a hard act to do a cover. Angelina isn't going to just stop at that level.
Not a doubt about Angelina's interpretation being much better,but this song still is a cover and It doesn't hurt to mention Adele together with Greg as the original songwriters.Without them,Angelina wouldn't have these lyrics to begin with.No offence meant,just a little respect for everybody involved in the making of this song.And I LOVE Angelina since I Heard her for the first time.Thanks Soul👍😍

You're being very generous to Adele, and that is kind of you. But Angelina is on a whole nother level. AJ touches the soul in a way very very few performers ever have. And if you listen to both side by side, you'll see what AJ does (even technically) that performers without her depth and soul don't even know how to do -- setting aside the techniques required. If you get the chance, and I really hope you do, please do a reaction to Poppy. As a songwriter, I think you'll enjoy her talent at melodies and lyrics, and her bravery to incorporate sounds she loves from any genre she feels like in a particular song. She's made four full length studio albums now, and a great selection of EPs. She started with an alternative pop sound, went bubblegum electro, then started experimenting with metal and heavy industrial sounds and noise rock, and pulls it off amazingly well. Start wherever you want, each of her eras is uniquely great imo.
Angelina keeps getting better, in my opinion, this is one of her two best performances, the other being "I Put a Spell on You" which weighted based on age I would put first. She just employed so many techniques and textures to get all the emotion into this Adele cover. One of the amazing things about Angelina is that she hasn't just put out a few amazing songs. No, she has produced them in the 100's and not any of them could be considered just ok like a mix of songs you would expect from any other great artist where they have a few mediocre uninspiring songs on any album. All of Angelina's songs are amazing, not one blah song even as the smallest child.
It's OK to compare Angelina and Adele. Angelina is not a threat to Adele's career. Adele is going to be just fine. The truth to my ears is that Angelina is a superior vocalist. Superior to pretty much everyone. Its OK to say it. Truth is, if Adele hears Angelina, she knows it anyways and will still write, sing and have plenty of fans, including myself.

Adele is 30; Angelina is 15. To do a cover on this song at the level of vocal construction to someone of 30, shows an artistry beyond her years. I don't know if anyone has picked up from this cover, Angelina is showing glimpses of even more vocal capabilities. By the time she's 30, she will display more vocal gymnastics than any top artist for this time. She's fine tuning what she has now, but it's not over. This is not her limit. When the time comes & she has an album of her own songs, there will be those who will attempt covers of her material. Adele, Whitney Houston, to name a few are a hard act to do a cover. Angelina isn't going to just stop at that level.

You're being very generous to Adele, and that is kind of you. But Angelina is on a whole nother level. AJ touches the soul in a way very very few performers ever have. And if you listen to both side by side, you'll see what AJ does (even technically) that performers without her depth and soul don't even know how to do -- setting aside the techniques required. Thanks for all your reviews. You don't say much but see some of the things I see (the artistry in the whole of each of her pieces) .
