I love that you're thinking outside the box here, coming up with your own ideas and sharing your observations is really appreciated. It seems a lot of other Kibbe creators repeat a lot of the same content, but you really stand out because of this. Thank you so much for your videos!
I would definitely add wind and river as part of the style roots. Wind is lightweight and breezy (experimental, light, carefree). River is flowy but structured (timeless, strong, sensual)
For me the style root system also didn't fit perfectly and I altered it a little bit. But it really helped my to define my three style roots. I think it is no crime to change her idea of the style roots and play a bit with it until it is perfect for you. For me and my style it is a big help.
YES. Exactly. It's not always about good/bad, it's the effect, the aesthetic ✨️ I love these questions being about what feels the most authentically you, rather than what you think you "should" be!
I am so happy that you liked this part of it, because this is such an important message for me - everyone always says how it's a tool not a rule, but what does that mean? I think that the 'creating an effect' element of what I teach really gets that across!
I'm dramatic and find that I resonate with Mountain, Mushroom and Stone roots the most. This is a fun way to look at style theory and would love to see more in-depth videos on each root.
This is such a fun concept! I think you’re really filling a personalization void created by the kibbe system. I’d love to see more on these types! I cheated a bit because one of my top 3 priorities is finding a balance of strong AND delicate together, and the test still felt accurate to me, which is super impressive! I just ranked my priorities from my answers and did the math accordingly. I think I’m an earth and moon combo with some fire as well 🧡 awesome video!!
This is such a fun concept! My main style “priorities” are light, delicate, carefree. I think that my style (at the moment) would mostly align with flower and earth, so pretty accurate!
I used to be quite girly and my style used to also be feminine, and I lost a lot of that when I had children and my new body took over. I lost a lot of my personality, who I truly am and forgot what I used to be like. Now I am on a journey to find myself and be happy in my skin that I am currently in, although I am making few adjustments by working out and eating healthy. Your videos have helped me to further that journey, to really look into getting to know my body and what looks good on me. Sending much love from New Zealand xx
I think I just found a tip for everyone who is unsure about effects they want to create and their style. I rewatch this video like four times and each time I screenshoted the moment with keywords and underlined those appealing to me. Each time they were slightly different. Today I finally matched with my previous self except for one objective - sensual or modest (should be easy choice but it's not). Last time I chose modest, because I really like Edwardian long skirts and modest shirts, and hijab fashion. And today I thought "girl, are you really that?" And I scrolled through my Instagram page and took a closer look on photos of me that I had posted (which means I liked how I looked in the clothes I wore) and they all were more sexy than modest. I guess I just really was a little bit ashamed to admit it and embrace that about myself. So this is my advice - look at pictures of you that you really like, this should help you choose, at least for me it did.
Could you by any chance give examples of those 8 roots expressed in art and music? I feel like that could be a great inspiration toward style application (albeit in a bit of an abstract sense maybe)
i got flower, mushroom, and stone! i'm so excited for when you delve deeper into this. my kibbe journey has me so lost and confused, so i think this will be a fun way to easily identify things that suit my personality and give myself a break from over analyzing my body!
my priorities were dark, delicate and experimented and i can see now why i struggle to fit into any aesthetic box. This video was so helpful and I can't wait for the second part!! Thank you so much!!
The reason Kibbe system don't take personality into account is because it describes how fabric favourably drapes over your body not what your personal style should be. It is just a tool in building your personal style.
This was fun, I’m excited to learn more about the different categories. I did go through the style boards and definitely found more outfits that I resonated with on the ones that the quiz pointed me too!
I recently discovered your channel and I can't thank you enough for breaking things down. I've been trying to finesse my own personal style and you have been such a big help. I hope you do a video in which you show more examples of each style root. Thank you!
I love this! I am not a fan of style techniques that are purely personality based because I want to be able to incorporate my body type and color season as well and most don't allow for that, but this I feel is general enough to give guidence and inspiration but still has wiggle room. I would love to hear more about it!
This is exactly what I've been needing! This is such an informative yet simple way to self-assess. I'm very excited for your following content on this topic! I'm thinking I'm either Mountain or Stone 🙂
I'm always mixing up my personal style, so I don't fit nicely into one category. After looking at your pinterest boards, I'm mostly a combination of moon & fire with some earth thrown in here and there. I'm really looking forward to more videos on this
On a very scientific level the 8 styles is also very logical. Have you seen the patterns in sacred geometry. / I know certain things just don’t look good on me, and somethings look ok, but I could look better. The ok vibe is just that ok for ok things. But the fact you related this to nature really made it more understandable for me. I have an amazing closet, sometimes I don’t know how to wear everything.. So I gravitate towards the safe monochromatic black-ish because that will always look good. Trying to add more pops sometimes without the fear. I scalp feel super comfortable in my comfort zone on an a nervy basis. / I look amazing in royal blue and white, but I don’t like the colors. So I am trying…
Okay but this is genius. I am a soft natural and true autumn. My essences are natural, romantic and ingenue and the adjectives I choose where carefree, sensual and delicate and I think these really fit with my essences. Also earth, fire and flower seem super fitting, it‘s almost scary how accurate this is 😳😍
I got sun moon and earth. I have been trying more flower and mushroom style the past couple years because you get taken more seriously but this quiz really opened my eyes to how much I should refocus my wardrobe back to those styles and alter them to a more formal version of them. Thank you so much!
I got flower, earth, mountain and mushroom and it honestly makes soo much sense!! I immediately knew that those styles were my sort of thing, so I can’t wait to see what comes next for styling with these fashion styles!!
I love what you've come up with so far! I've been trying to build my wardrobe to a general aesthetic but whenever I go shopping, I'm conflicted between polar opposite "roots". Can't wait for your next vid! You're a life saver 😩❤️
This theory is so interesting, and makes a lot of sense in regards to what styles that I’m more inclined to gravitate towards! My priorities were Delicate, Carefree, and Light, and I fall into the styles of Flower, Earth, and Sun. I feel that I can really make sense of what styles that I like, now that there are some defined categories, and can incorporate some of these elements into my personal style and wardrobe. Can’t wait for the next video to see how these are applied!
I just found your channel today and have definitely been binge watching. Found out I’m a dramatic classic and aligned EXACTLY with stone. I can’t wait to see if you go more in depth on each of these style preferences because I find the way you talk about clothes/style identity so refreshing and intriguing.
This is such a thoughtful way to go about style, Ellie! Really enjoyed this. I’m a Kibbe soft classic with gamine/ethereal/ingenue essences and a light summer. My priorities were experimental, strong, and light, which seemed a bit juxtaposed to me! Looking forward to understanding more in part 2
This really helped a lot, I have been digging deeper into my spiritually and have been dressing more modestly but I have always had am issue with finding my aesthetic and making it modest. From watching this video you presented, I found out I have four types, Stone, Sun, Earth, and Mushroom🥰🥰🥰 I concur because I like nature and like to mimic the great creation the Most High has done, the planet.
Love this! I feel like it really makes sense for me. Mushroom, stone, and mountain. I love the dark academia looks, mixed with a little street wear, but lots of neutrals, timeless piece, and professional pieces. It’s the way I see myself dressing in every situation and showing up as myself. I could sprinkle In a little moon and earth every once in a while, but definitely not who I am at my core. Love this so much!
This is a great concept! I always like so many different styles but I often don't like them on myself, which was so confusing. According to the quiz my priorities are a mixture of Stone and Moon- and after looking into your style roots board on pinterest it really makes sense. It makes sense in which outfits I feel like myself and most comfortable eventhough I like other things more in pictures or on the hanger. This could really help to declutter my closet and avoid buying things I won't wear. So thank you for sharing your system, I can't wait for more videos on that!
LOVE THIS. love love love. its funny that you said its rare that anyone has these exact combinations bc you actually nailed my 2 go to styles in the same order which is: dark, strong carefree sensual & experimental light and carefree- sun and moon which is SOOOOOO COOL. came to the video because my two favourite styles are so different and now i can see its because theyre literally two polar opposites in roots. i hope more people hear about this theory bc its what kibbe is missing, heading over to part two now see yaaaa
Hey Ellie! I think it would be amazing if after all this, you decided to start making curated boxes for people! Kind of like Trunk club or Stitchfix but for Kibbe lovers!!! You already have a more detailed base of questions than I've ever been asked!
I don't by those types of products and I would definitely buy it from you. You're not stupid like most people selling that stuff so I wouldn't feel like I was getting a box of random nonsense.
I love this concept! it was strange when you listing the style roots I was like "definitely moon" and my top 3 aligned with moon. I also took note of my secondary root, stone. I look forward to part 2 of your style roots video! ❤
Thank you so much for developing these style roots! I have been searching for a way to understand style elements, no other systems I've come across are nuanced. I can finally understand the evolution of my style in a way that makes sense. I can understand what style roots each outfit is highlighting. I can see cohesion in my personal style where before I only saw chaos. Your style root combination pinterest boards are awesome!
This was so fun! Thank you so much. And very accurate. I cant wait to try this out! My top 3 priorities are Mushroom Flower Mountain AS I GUESSED I WOULD HAVE :)
I like the fresh approach of this theory, and I would love to see the combinations of the priorities! I think mine are closest to flower and fire. Can't wait for part 2!
I love this! Did the quiz and got Sun exactly with my top 3. It helps a lot as I've always felt stuck between many different styles despite being told by others that I don't really suit the dark edgy style
This is so great! Yay I'm so pleased you found this an easy way to find your style! If you often find yourself drawn to the dark edgy style, you might want to combine sun with moon to create something that is uniquely you!
@@elliejeanroyden thank you so much! I think, coming out of my teenage years is now trying to figure out how to combine style with how I've changed also
I was exactly mountain, and then mushroom and stone. I've always struggled with how to dress because of my body type and end up in jeans and t shirts. Looking forward to learning more.
Thankyou for sharing your ideas and thoughts! I'm super interested in learning more about the types. For me the quiz was too black or white, I felt like a balance of both was most important to me, especially sensual and modest and strong and delicate. I mostly prefer light but sometimes i want to go for a dark and edgier look :)
I was having a hard time narrowing myself down to three, because I always found myself with five. Then I approached the problem differently and it all made sense. I started out with my three primary words from your quiz. (Timeless, Put-Together, Modest). This is the guiding force for the chart. Then I created a circular diagram with my primary style in the middle (Mushroom). My second and third (Mountain and Earth) are on opposite ends of the outer ring because they balance each other out to mirror my three chosen words. Mountain on its own feels very 'formal' for my personal day-to-day style, but when balanced with Earth, it looks more approachable. Similarly Earth on its own can look overly casual on me, so balancing it with Mountain influence helps achieve the more polished look I'm going for. Much smaller, I have my former fourth and fifth on opposite ends, labeled as "influences" (Moon and Flower). For example, wearing Moon doesn't feel like me unless it is balanced with some Flower influence, and vice versa. I always keep my primary and/or secondary root (Mushroom, Mountain) in consideration. So for example, while Mushroom-Earth-Mountain are my three, I can also wear a Mushroom-Flower-Moon or Mountain-Flower-Moon outfit and feel very much like I'm dressing in my personal style as long as I balance the "influence" traits appropriately, with my three chosen words as a guide. (I'm also a Classic, so all about that balance.) Hope this can help someone who's having trouble narrowing it down!
This is wonderful!!! I enjoyed the quiz… thank you for doing this, we are all different and can’t fit in the same box, this quiz proves it! Interesting that I got 3 even attributes of: Mountain- Mushroom-Stone and one for Flower. Can’t wait for your next video!
I laughed at myself when I got mountain because I always gravitate toward mountains in general. For wallpapers, moodboards, story ideas, ideal travel destination. Love your approach!
This is such a lovely comment, I'm so pleased that this is how you feel! Fashion should never be a box to force yourself in, it's all about self expression and experimentation so I love this comment!
My top three were Dark, Delicate, & Timeless. To be honest, I’m very torn on the sensual v modest and the carefree v on top of things bc those are areas of my life that are very compartmentalized. As a college instructor, I do not want to be sensual EVER in my work clothes, but when I am out with friends for an evening I like a sensual element to my style. In general, I would say I’m more carefree. So I’m think I’m just a strange mixture of duality - no surprise there 😵💫🤣 I think I’m most drawn to the moon, flower, and fire styles - so maybe I’m a Moon Flower that’s Fire colored? To be honest, that concept appeals to my Cancerian Moon Child-self with Leo influences/cusp. I’m looking forward to part 2 - just subscribed!
That’s funny- those were my top 3, and I’m also a college instructor. Outside of work, I tend to think of myself as somewhat edgy and romantic but at work want to be modest and professional, so that seems to translate to wearing a lot of natural colors and fabrics because I feel like business clothes feel too masculine or corporate to me.
wow this is an amazing concept and I appreciate you sharing it with us!!! I found the choices to be a little tricky but i loved that they were focused on how i would feel most authentically me in a room. i always struggle with knowing what I am/want/feel best in versus how i think I should be or what I should want (especially as a result of internalized shame and insecurity). Thank you for this!
I’m SO glad I found this channel oh my word. Bingeing every video right now and it’s giving me the motivation to actually finally clean out my closet it’s been nagging at me for months.
Ok!!! I am loving your concepts!!! Finally something regarding our style!!! I am sooo glad i found you. You have such a wonderful insight and your attention to detail is a treat to watch! Even though i must have watched to soo many stylist videos including kibbe n all, your videos are becoming more n more my favorite and am always waiting for an upload from you.
I love this style roots quiz! Moon and fire are exactly the kinds of styles I love wearing the most🥰 I've always struggled to find my exact Kibbe body type but after watching your videos, I now think I must be a soft dramatic (due to my height).
Tbh, I'm still trying to find the video that classifies what body type someone might be, that similarly might have a quiz? I wouldn't know where to begin with styling my body type because it's so awkward with different sizing (I'm what some would call a pear, but this is probably not the kind of body type classification she's talking about).
Mine were Sun, Earth and Moon and I opened up your Pinterest board and: LITERALLY MY WARDROBE hahah you’re really good! I loved the system cause I felt like it encapsulated all sides of me, I love yellow but I also love black
This is so fun! I love that it leans into your personality and priorities. As you develop this system, I wonder if you’d consider swapping “modest” for “practical”? My results didn’t really make sense mostly because I had the reaction of “I’m not modest!” But then I thought wait, I do often like to dress practical, and then it came together more. Thanks for all the thought you put into this! Sincerely, a lil’ MoonStone
My top three were timeless, sensual, and carefree...so I think mine were fire, earth, and mountain. This was fun! Looking forward to seeing a more detailed video about the different style types.
For those who didn’t have a match to their top three, keep in mind that there are 80 different “top three” combinations! Even if she did four characteristics for each element, there would have to be 20 different elements for everyone to have one that included their top three. There’s only a 25% chance that one of these will match you. Feel free to invent an nature element that matches your personal style (that’s kind of the point of this!) but the fact that there isn’t one doesn’t mean she needs to add more. (Of course, it’s easy for me to say since I’m in the lucky 25% and am an exact match for earth 😂)
I love this concept! One note I have about fire, I feel like fire fits more into the ‘strong’ category rather than the ‘delicate’ category. Fire is a destructive force, there’s a certain aggression to it. Especially with the outfits shown to represent that category, I see dominance as a key theme.
Agree. When those things weren't under "fire", I expected them to be under "sun". I thought that "fire" is like a small candle flame and the aggressive qualities would be under "sun". But no, sun is also Light and Carefree.
I humbly disagree. Even when fire is being destructive it still flutters about in a delicate manner like fingertips and tongues flicking about magically in a chaotic ballet, every brush stroke of flame a subtle instinct. Every flicker of light and rage is calm and peaceful in itself, a majestic type of beauty that burns with grace and dwindles out with a silent type of humility that doesn't fight back but allows itself to saunter down to ash with a sentimental shame that weakens with soft acceptance, almost idle in its sweet, romantical demise. From where I'm standing that is the most graceful embodiment of delicate. I think a lot of people just judge it harshly because of the destruction it can cause.
Im just realizing that this is great in buying clothes as gifts for others, I mean to use it as a guidline so that the person can be happy with their gift. It doesn't even have to be clothes, it can be anything that's used to make something look more aesthetically pleasing like an ornament you can use to decorate your home or things like jewelry, etc.
Could you make a video about style roots for men and non-binary people? I talk about your videos to my peers but guys and enbys get a little bit disappointed when it's all to girl-oriented. One of my guy friends wish to do a makeover because they had enough of the "macho" or "manly" styles he had to wear over decades and wishes to soften up without looking ridiculous. Some queer people find difficult to create a casual, chic, soft style because they are often seen as quirky and over the top. The fear of being super judged is a problem to consider too. Besides there are queers who are still "in the closet" but wishes to slowly come out by expressing through their attire. Maybe if one dresses with an outfit that looks gorgeous in it, others could be less harsh because they are astonished. First impression counts, right?
Love this video Ellie-Jean! Just got typed (by you 😊) as a soft dramatic with a gamine essence. 1. Sensual 2. Timeless and 3. On Top of Things So fire & mountain really resonated with me- looking forward to part two and to learn how I can incorporate my SD and gamine essence into them!
Ellie-Jean! You are amazing! Thank you for bringing your own model to the table. I got tired of other systems treating my face as one thing, my body as another, my style as another, and I just don't fit the personality assigned to my season. I was getting increasingly worried because the Zyla way of determining my neutrals was redundant. I have black hair (there go my neutrals!!) But I feel like I can work with this. I'm still discovering my style and this Style Roots foundation resonates with me. Thank you!
Initially your style roots video was overwhelming and abstract to me, however I keep coming back to it. Personally I have found it more useful to work backwards, identifying which style roots I resonate with more based on your descriptions and examples, then re-prioritising my initial list of preferences (I had about 4-5 that I could’t decide between) according to which features were re-occuring within these style roots. This helped me to more clearly differentiate between preferences (e.g. whether I like ‘light’ vs. ‘modest’ which in a sense brings light in a different manner, or ‘carefree’ vs. ‘experimental’ which could also bring a sense of carefree). Now I know I’m definitley; Flower, Fire, Stone. It’s cool to be able to use a system that is subjective which means anyone can work it out for themselves. Though I agree that using this alongside other objective systems is what gives the best result. You’re definitley onto something here!
This is an amazing concept! The questions definitely helped me define what my style is and why I like certain clothes. I'd say I'm a mix of Flower, Mountain, and Mushroom. A couple of the examples from those looked exactly like some of my favorite outfits.
Hii!! I just found your channel and i have to say you are a LIFESAVER ive been struggling with style and type and all that stuff, im trying to do a brand new wardrobe and you're sooo helpful thank you!!!! ❤️
Leaving a comment for support + might as well share my results! I thought "moon" at first, because I study symbology and astrology as a mean to unravel my inner programming and the moon is a strong player in my game (Cancer sun on Cancer rising). Took note of what I wish to express through my style : 1. Strong 2. Carefree 3. Dark. Yep, that's moon! Timeless symbolism is truly helpful in all creative endeavors. It helps connect with each other. You did an amazing job using these elementals :)
Hi Ellie :) i've been following You for a while and i love your content, You along with Ally arte have really help me understand better the elements about my style and body type. Also i think your system is very creative and helpful however there is an element that i think is not well thought and maybe you need to address it in further videos, and that element is color 🎨 Si first i'll explain my case and the i'll ask my question. After doing some of your (and other creators exercises) i've discovered my classifications are: -Deep winter ❄️ (Royal blue, deep purple, fucsia, emerald etc) -Soft natural (width and curve, drapped and semiconstructed, soft lines, linnen, cotton and whool ) -Natural, classic and dramatic essences. So based on that i think My roots are: 1.Mushroom 🍄 (which matches with the classic essence). 2.Mountain ⛰️ (which matches with the dramatic essence) 3. Earth 🌱(which matches the natural essence ) And when i saw your Pinterest board on this roots combination i could see how most of the elemnets could work for me, except for color. All the looks portrayed on th board where olives, beiges, warm tones which go completely against my color pallete 🎨. Actually just for the matter of color i was drawn to the boards with moon elements rather than earth. So my questions is what is the role of color whitin the root system? Should each root be meant to help You find specific elements of your style? Maybe the 3rd or 4th root could help identify color and the others elements as forma and shape? Or should color be an independent element to this system? I hope You can answer this, and that this may help to bring a better understanding of what you are proposing 😊
I think the proof really is in the pudding - I watched some of your old videos, and clearly your style was always nice and refined, but in this video you just look drop dead gorgeous! The clothes, the hair and the makeup all work for you, not the other way around. So if anything should convince people to take your advice, it's you yourself! So thank you, Ellie-Jean - I can't wait to implement this advice into my own life! :)
I definitely think your on to something ! Please continue to develop this ! Make quizzes try to do the essence with the body types because the clothes can be very different but with the same essence thank you !! On the journey to self discovery and let me tell you even the images you chose to real are to the essence fits so well !!!
I would love to see more about these style roots. I think this is a really cool theory! I’d love more info on how this all works. Thanks for making such awesome videos. You have totally helped me find confidence in my style:) I appreciate you!!
This was so helpful....I got styled from you and when asked about style priorities I didn't really know what each meant but this video helped clarify that I picked the right ones that were authentic to me My 3 priorities were strong, Carefree, Sensual (with my other two timeless and dark) And I picked moon, stone and fire. Thank you for this video
I opened the pinterest board first and IMMEDIATELY the entire Earth board caught my eye. Did the quiz and those were my top three :) Love how accurate this ended up being!
Your videos are wonderful, I’m already saving for a consultation. I’ve always felt very plain personally, not ugly just very middle of the road and bland, I like the idea that understanding my features might help me feel more confident. I feel like my priorities are moon and earth, I hope you’ll cover those two.
How fun! My priorities were modesty/light/delicate FLOWER 🌸 I have to say I have been subconsciously falling into this category the last few years as I’ve been finding my style & it’s spot on! Thanks a bunch 🙏
My first time watching your channel and now I want to know more!! I never heard of this theory before, I have a merchandising degree and don’t use it (I’m a flight attendant) but I still love all things fashion and dressing for your body type. My quiz results: Modest, light, on top of things, delicate, experimental Top 2 priority: Modest Experimental Top 2 style root pictures: *Mushroom * Sun
so interesting! my priorities were sensual, on top of things, delicate. with timeless/experimental and dark/light being more optional. I could see where my personal style and what I feel most genuine in marries fire/mountain/mushroom.
If you want me to make a style file for you, head to bodyandstyle.com !
Part 2 is up now! th-cam.com/video/ly_jxc9_Kno/w-d-xo.html
I love that you're thinking outside the box here, coming up with your own ideas and sharing your observations is really appreciated. It seems a lot of other Kibbe creators repeat a lot of the same content, but you really stand out because of this. Thank you so much for your videos!
This comment really means so much to me, thank you!! This really made my day! Thank you ☺️
Style thoughts by Rita has also created an amazing system
I would definitely add wind and river as part of the style roots. Wind is lightweight and breezy (experimental, light, carefree). River is flowy but structured (timeless, strong, sensual)
Sun is what you explained should be is wind
That is a great idea! I would absolutely love to have River included as it happens to be my style (strong, sensual, on top of things, timeless).
Yeah, river is what I might choose if it were a category
For me the style root system also didn't fit perfectly and I altered it a little bit. But it really helped my to define my three style roots. I think it is no crime to change her idea of the style roots and play a bit with it until it is perfect for you. For me and my style it is a big help.
Yes!! I’d definitely be a river!
YES.
So true, am in love with pastels right now, as it is a late spring, turning to summer. Summertime, I love bright, bold, dramatic patterns.
We're so similar, my priorities were Modest, Delicate and Carefree and I ADORE the flower and Earth but also lean a bit towards stone and mushroom
omg same here! I also picked those three and have that same current style
i dont want to sound rude to other cc but thank you for making boards with clothes that aren't from a decade ago
Yes! This!!!
Love this idea!
As someone with a 'rare' result of exactly matching one set of results on your quiz (Mushroom), I'm interested to see more from you on this!
Same I math 100% on sun and that never happens to me
I have the same! 100% mushroom
Recently found your channel and I just adore you! So helpful and fun! Kibbe is great, but SO easy to get lost in & you make style fun again.
Thank you this is lovely!! I am so glad you find my channel fun! Yes Kibbe absolutely should be fun and it can get so intense sometimes!
i got flower, mushroom, and stone! i'm so excited for when you delve deeper into this. my kibbe journey has me so lost and confused, so i think this will be a fun way to easily identify things that suit my personality and give myself a break from over analyzing my body!
my priorities were dark, delicate and experimented and i can see now why i struggle to fit into any aesthetic box. This video was so helpful and I can't wait for the second part!! Thank you so much!!
Same here
The reason Kibbe system don't take personality into account is because it describes how fabric favourably drapes over your body not what your personal style should be. It is just a tool in building your personal style.
definetly interested in your theory! i picked
1. timeless
2. on top of things
3. delicate
so i think it classifies my style as mushroom 🍄 which i love
Yay this is fabulous feedback, thank yous do much! I am so pleased that you think this is simple and you found it so easy to find your roots!
Also earth, fire and flower seem super fitting, it‘s almost scary how accurate this is 😳😍
this was one of my FAVOURITE parts of your consult for me!! it’s a wonderful way to think of what i’m drawn to and what i like to wear… Also OLIVE 😍
I got flower, earth and fire! I'd love more info and examples of each type!
I love this - such a cute combination! I would love to talk about this more so it's good to know that there is interest!
Yes pls!! More examples of the types!
I so appreciate your creativity and inventiveness. Wishing you success in continuing to grow and help people understand fashion!
So interesting! I would love to see a breakdown of each and how to incorporate them into our other types
My top 3 priorities are
Mushroom
Flower
Mountain
AS I GUESSED I WOULD HAVE :)
I am perfectly fire and earth ❤️ I cannot WAIT for the next video explaining how to combine them and going more in depth. This was amazing!
Looking forward to learning more about Fire & Moon! It already sounds like a contrast of elements, which is how I perceive myself!!
I got Mushroom, Flower, and Mountain! Excited to see what's next 😊
Thank you so much - I loved hearing the priorities you ended up with!
Me too!
Me too!! Nice to see another Sun :)
This is such a great tool! Finding your priorities rather than looking to trends feels really focused! Would love another video about this!
I've been waiting for this one for ages! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks like I suit the flower root.
Aw thank you this is great to hear!
It makes so much sense, I got mountain and stone, real nice combo, cant wait for more info about those roots!
That’s why we then combine roots! This is to get an idea really of what each of the individual roots means ☺️
Thanks for answering that for me 😀
I was having a hard time narrowing myself down to three, because I always found myself with five.
Love this so much!! I'm so inspired and don't feel like I'm being told that I must squeeze myself into a box. Can't wait for your next video!
This is such a lovely comment, I'm so pleased that this is how you feel! Fashion should never be a box to force yourself in, it's all about self expression and experimentation so I love this comment!
Thanks!
So I’m think I’m just a strange mixture of duality - no surprise there 😵💫🤣
I think I’m most drawn to the moon, flower, and fire styles - so maybe I’m a Moon Flower that’s Fire colored?
I love this, thank you! I’m going to call myself a fire-moon till it catches on with my friends!! Love your videos 💜
I’m SO glad I found this channel oh my word. Bingeing every video right now and it’s giving me the motivation to actually finally clean out my closet it’s been nagging at me for months.
A minute in and already love it! You are so well-informed!
Thank you so much!!! You're so kind, this is so appreciated!! xxx
Thank you this is such a lovely comment!!!
Even if she did four characteristics for each element, there would
have to be 20 different elements for everyone to have one that included their top three.
There’s only a 25% chance that one of these will match you. Feel free to invent an nature element that matches your personal style (that’s kind of the point of this!) but the fact that there isn’t one doesn’t mean she needs to add more.
(Of course, it’s easy for me to say since I’m in the lucky 25% and am an exact match for earth 😂)
i got stone and it totally resonates with me and what i want to reflect!!! LOVE YOU
After watching this video because I honestly think I have more than three style roots it’s so hard to pick
I align with Moon and Fire, and honestly this quiz was really entertaining! Can’t wait for part 2! 😍
I love this concept! One note I have about fire, I feel like fire fits more into the ‘strong’ category rather than the ‘delicate’ category. Fire is a destructive force, there’s a certain aggression to it. Especially with the outfits shown to represent that category, I see dominance as a key theme.
I agree on this
What a informational and good channel. This is the value of TH-cam. Thank u!
I hope you follow this video up with an elaboration on each of the priorities and what kind of items, looks etc fit with them!
Love this video Ellie-Jean! Just got typed (by you 😊) as a soft dramatic with a gamine essence. 1. Sensual 2. Timeless and 3. On Top of Things
So fire & mountain really resonated with me- looking forward to part two and to learn how I can incorporate my SD and gamine essence into them!
Took note of what I wish to express through my style :
1. Strong
2. Carefree
Also i think your system is very creative and helpful however there is an element that i think is not well thought and maybe you need to address it in further videos, and that element is color 🎨
Si first i'll explain my case and the i'll ask my question.
After doing some of your (and other creators exercises) i've discovered my classifications are:
-Deep winter ❄️ (Royal blue, deep purple, fucsia, emerald etc)
-Soft natural (width and curve, drapped and semiconstructed, soft lines, linnen, cotton and whool )
-Natural, classic and dramatic essences.
So based on that i think My roots are:
1.Mushroom 🍄 (which matches with the classic essence).
2.Mountain ⛰️ (which matches with the dramatic essence)
3. Earth 🌱(which matches the natural essence )
And when i saw your Pinterest board on this roots combination i could see how most of the elemnets could work for me, except for color.
Thank you this is such a lovely and truly helpful comment!!! I really appreciate it, thank you! ♥️
@@elliejeanroyden my pleasure, you deserve it! :)
Thank you! Really looking forward to the next video on this🥰 I feel most drawn to flower and fire!
This was so helpful....I got styled from you and when asked about style priorities I didn't really know what each meant but this video helped clarify that I picked the right ones that were authentic to me
My 3 priorities were strong, Carefree, Sensual (with my other two timeless and dark)
And I picked moon, stone and fire.
Thank you for this video
I've been into style and body types since I was about 9 years old. This was a cool quiz! I look forward the follow-up video.
Oooh i love this! I’ve been trying to create my own system so this is quite inspiring to flesh out the details more
Love this video so much!! Quiz is short and helpful, love each type of style
Ahhhh I can’t wait to see video breakdowns of each style! This is so creative and genuinely helpful!
My first time watching your channel and now I want to know more!! I never heard of this theory before, I have a merchandising degree and don’t use it (I’m a flight attendant) but I still love all things fashion and dressing for your body type.
My quiz results:
Modest, light, on top of things, delicate, experimental
Top 2 priority:
Modest
Experimental
Top 2 style root pictures:
*Mushroom
* Sun
Just looked at the Pinterest boards and my style root is definitely Sun with a little Flower… this was so cool, tfs💗
so interesting! my priorities were sensual, on top of things, delicate. with timeless/experimental and dark/light being more optional. I could see where my personal style and what I feel most genuine in marries fire/mountain/mushroom.
Mushroom ticked off 4 of my 5 choices! But I absolutely love the delicateness of flower and the boss babe look of mountain!
Love this concept!!! Such a refreshing take on the style systems :)
Went in thinking I would get flower and earth, and then you hit me with exactly my top 3 for sun so wow okay 🤩
