Thanks for your video. I ordered a GP12 … coming from GP8. It is so difficult to decide about the max lens mod 2.0. No HDR, no 8:7, not so good, more fish eye also in „wide“…not so good stabilisation with the mod and low light…then the lens gets dirty more quick. Many many disadvantages for a bit more field of view … is it worth … max hyperview seems to much … but max superview could be better than normal hyperview . What are you currently using for most of your videos?
Have fun with your new camera! I'm sticking with the Max Lens Mod/Max Hyperview for now, and switching between chest mount and helmet mount. This combo gives the best "feel". I tried HDR and honestly was not impressed at all. 10 bit recording was a big jump in quality. HDR can help a bit in some scenarios, but I don't miss it for MTB. Max Lens Mod also offers full horizon lock for all lens settings, which is also really nice.
Technically, yes, the Max Lens Mod 2.0 does work with the Hero 11. When using the MLM 2.0 on the Hero 11, the field of view and resolution are no different than the Max Lens Mod 1.0. You’re still limited to 2.7k w/8 bit color. The optics look a bit better with MLM 2.0, but it’s nothing significant.
@@GlennRuehle thx a lot for answer. I cannot find MLM1 in stores already, just 2.0. and I think it's more sagacious purchase. Thx again! But video 11+mlm2 would be VERY VERY much appreciated. Any conditions and any time convenient for you. Thank you 🙏 Cause now I could find only this very short one... At 01:10 th-cam.com/video/oCPjCdFUtGw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4CDQHV7uSsmzGAfx
@sandrew79 I ended up doing some comparison footage with the Max Lens Mod 1.0 and 2.0, using both the Hero 11 and Hero 12. Bottom line: the Max Lens Mod works with the Hero 11, and it does have better optics than the Max Lens Mod 1.0. Personally, I still prefer the normal lens with Hyperview on the Hero 11. Here is the comparison video: th-cam.com/video/KC1iCSf_xUM/w-d-xo.html
unrealistic? I felt like I was riding with him! perception really is personal. \thanks for the video Glenn. I bought the 12 and I intend to use it here in the Brazilian Amazon, with MTB Enduro
This video was helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for your reply … will keep the mod and try…
Does MOD2 work with Hero11? Could you plz attach it to 11 and record smth...?
Or compare 12+mod2 with 11+mod1/hyperview?

No HDR with the lens Mod, deal breaker
Max Lens Mod 2.0 gives you a wider field of view with full horizon leveling, but takes away 5.3k, HDR, and Log. That's the tradeoff...
The quality is superb but it looks completely unrealistic to be honest. Almost slo-mo.
It’s definitely an extremely wide angle! This is the Max HyperView mode. There are Max SuperView and Wide modes that are less extreme.

@@dronedaamazonia5842 Enjoy your new camera! I agree that the Max HyperView mode really has an immersive feel, even if the look is exaggerated.
