    Most helpful video on M650! I was eyeing the MX Anywhere 3 but it was too pricey, then I found this VERY similar model at half-price. Your video helped me understand what the differences were (scroll, battery, logitech flow) and why I'll probably get this one over the much pricier MX Anywhere 3. Also liked your M720 review!

    Awesome review. You are the only person that mentioned about that horizontal scroll. It was one of my doubts. You just should given more thoughts on the ergonomics, perhaps comparing it to thes m650l. But great review.

    Beautiful review. I wfh using a laptop and wanted to switch my wireless mouse to one that is quieter and has bluetooth capability option for other devices. I initially purchased the M240 since it has all the features I was looking for, for only $14.99 but it looks and feels cheap and slightly uncomfortable without the rubber sides. I confidently purchased the M650. Thank you!

      Beautiful - This is the first time the word "beautiful" is used to describe my review. I was having the creative flow in me when making this video so I experimented with a few more fun angle with some of the clips. It's been a while I watched this video, and it's so refreshing to see myself making this video. Thanks for your comment bringing back the nostalgia. Yes M650 is a well designed mouse. Did you say you wanted a mouse for multi device connection? This m650 can only connect to one device at a time, unless we re-pair the Bluetooth again every time.

    I will be getting this mouse to work in my office laptop and installation of softwares are prohibited! Just curious, out of the box, does the side buttons work? Or will it be just dummy?

    • @SkyPerspective

      Yes, at the very least the side buttons should work as native back and forward buttons. You just can't customise the side buttons to do other actions.

    I've found the M650 can switch between bolt and bluetooth used on different laptops.
    In bolt mode, hold down the 'connect' button on the underside of the mouse until it flashes fast, my other laptop will prompt with a request to re-pair which I accept via the touchpad.
    To switch back to bolt just hold the connect button again.

    If we cannot connect to two different devices with both a USB receiver and Bluetooth and cannot switch between the two, why does it have such a feature? It is ridiculous that the m650 cannot do this while the m350 can do this... If it can be switched with a single button, someone who knows this should write.

    Hi! Probably the best video for this newer mouse, thank you. Nowadays it's at the same price point than M720. I don't need the multi-device pairing but, I'm still doubting which one is better investment as my main office tool. Do you recommend me to get the M650 (large) over the M720?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow, that's such a huge compliment. Thanks I appreciate it. If you don't need the multi device functionality, I would recommend go for M650. After using two Logitech M720 (three actually because I returned 1 of them), I can confirm that the M720 mouse click has a limited life span (~1 year with heavy use). At some point, after a year, the click and drag can be a hit or miss, very annoying. M650 new quiet click design is meant to overcome this issue, and repeating from the video, we get horizontal scrolling as a bonus with M650, and a choice of two sizes too.

      Less than you deserve mate! Thanks to you I've noticed some alternatives and trusted on them. Of course, I like the famous MX series (or the K780), but they are too expensive for my priorities right now. I think I've made the best decision for me on my budget (according to prices here): M650 and Dell KB740. Also, it's awesome that Logitech has released a mice like the M650. • @Daaaaaaavid
    @Daaaaaaavid 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I wonder why they decided to exclude the button for switching to free wheel spinning, with that they actually currently don't offer any new mouse with silent clicks + hyper speed wheel, only the mx master but that one uses another wheel tech which I don't like, it's too unreliable, the old hyper fast wheel was always flawless to me.

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, yes I think Logitech is always trying to innovate, but some time not for the better. Do you mean there are two types of older generation hyper scroll wheels that requires button to switch between modes? The new MX Master 3S has the older hyper scroll wheel plus the silent click.

    • @Daaaaaaavid
      @Daaaaaaavid 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SkyPerspective The new MX Master 3S has the new wheel! I had it myself. The M500 and maybe others use a mechanical fast wheel, that's why it's more reliable, those with electromagntic wheel are not reliable.

They gifted me a Keychron 97% (wired but removable) and want to add an affordable yet dependable wireless mouse. The M650 seems to be the one. Funny, I have the M720 too but I hope the M650 has a better grip (i'll buy the medium size). How do you feel each of those mice in your hand? I'm a programmer hardly no gaming. The three main mice I use everyday are the Logitech MX Master 3s, M720 and M350 pebble mouse. They all feels great in the hands but they are quite different. @@woofinu MX Anywhere is a very nice compact and portable mouse. I have played and tried it out at the shops, but haven't bought one myself, could justify the price. I would like to see Logitech release the new version of the MX Anywhere, and my guess would be Logitech will be changing the mouse click buttons to be the quiet click type while retaining the heavy fly wheel, like what they did to the new MX Master 3S. I would not replace your MX Anywhere with this M650 if I were you, because this M650 is a desktop mouse and can be quite thick and high (not portable) compared to your Anywhere if you need portability.

    1. Which one is better to hold for large hands? m720 or m650 L? (I realized later that the one you revied is regular size)

    • @SkyPerspective

      1) The M650 L will fit better for large hands, the M650 is a compact mouse after all.
      2) I know the sticky feeling of the M720 because both of my M720 are like that. So far the m720 hasn't shown any signs of following the M650 foot steps, and the textured material on the side of the M650 is definitely different from the M720.
