I bought one of his albums in vinyl in my youth…His face was on the front wearing I think a black beret hat…He had the most cracking cheekbones 🥰 That album got played a lot! I have just recently sold most of my vinyls including the one of Charlie Sexton…Memories…Cheers for sharing! X
He’s played with Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Bowie too. He’s done countless sessions and he produces with his own record co. I believe Arc Angels? He’s amazing and Bob Dylan (he’s worked with father and son) said he loves Charlie and wishes he was a big star when Charlie was still very young. I wish he was too, but at least he’s had a lot of really good gigs with a lot of great musicians. He’s got it all.
Such a talent - victimized by unfortunate 80’s packaging…Glad he’s had a long-sustained career as a group member/session player, beyond the Aqua Net and Keith Forsey/Billy Idol-lite era.
Amazing musician.. unfortunately for Charlie it was never going to happen for him in the U.K with the ultra-processed American Metal Guitar sound and the backing musicians who could sub for Huey Lewis' "news".
My wife and her friend saw CS at that time in EPTX and the women there were so ravenous for CS that another girl bit my wife’s friend. Actually, bit her. Crazy.
Toured with Bob Dylan as his guitarist for a few years then started working as a session player. Formed a a couple bands, Arc Angels and Charlie Sexton Sextet. He's been working consistently since the 80s
Holy big hair and shoulder pads - ah the 80's -- bit Bowie ish -- but more embarrassing and yeah what the heck is he signing about - no one knew ......or cared.......
WTF were they thinking! Had forgotten about this guy, fortunately his talent has endured, but FFS, that was cringeworthy! The audience non-reaction speaks volumes.

I fell in love with Charlie Sexton with his hit "Beat so Lonely"... a big teenage crush for me!!! 💗✨
Hello cosmic from nirvanaman11
Beat So Lonely got so much play on.... geez... whatever rock show that used to be on TV back in the day
That hair! 😂
Lucky to have seen Charlie Sexton with Arc Angels many times in Austin. When their album came out in the early 90’s I wore that thing out.

The higher the hair the closer to God! 😂
Loved this song and Charlie is really talented. He plays with Bob Dylan today.

I love Charlie, he’s so incredibly talented and kind and he’s a gorgeous creature.
He's doing terrific music education, amongst his other varied projects, in Texas these days.
Charlie gave me hope...
Sounds good first time hearing it🎉

Absolutely no truth to the rumour that this fella was responsible for the “hole in the ozone layer” scare of the 80’s. 😉
Its British John Cougar Mellencamp.
He’s actually from Texas!
Wasn’t he 16 or 17 when this clip was made?
if that's true he looks at least ten years older
Maybe 18 at most.
He could have been an American Billy Idol...
What hap to him he had two hits then dissappeared. He was in D. Zappa music video lol

always came across as a poor man's Billy Idol. According to wiki he was born in 1968 which makes him 17 here lol, I don't think so
When did he play guitar?
@@nanchanger had the same producer which is why his songs sound the same
@@The.Last.Guitar.Hero. not to me they don't...
Could be true, but guy can rock. Cheers from Texas, bro.
@@govtom4 I saw his brother Will play at 17, VERY talented family...
