A slightly muzak orchestra version of the song. Should strip it down to him and drums and bass....I guess I'm a harsh critic no one had the soul and depth of jimi. He owned every note and phrase to his core
Just when almost every older guy would think we soon may be running out of great guitar players, there is this guy, making a name for himself. Just wowwwwwwww
This guy is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen or heard . I'll never forget the first time I watched him he was with Buddy Guy at Red Rocks and when he came out on stage and started playing.....I literally lost my mind 😂 he's in a class of his own . And hands down the best cover of this song I've ever heard .
ikr!! seriosly, ive never seen anybody that good at his age.He got down to business when he was like five yrs old or something crazy like that so that tells ya something.I seen him on elen when he was a little toddler haha, i couldnt believe my eyes at his age, he was soloing all good and smooth as a babies bum(lmao) on them strings lol
I HAVE TO GIVE IT TO BUDDY GUY FOR GETTING THIS YOUNG MAN WHERE HE IS , HIS MUSIC SONGS BEAUTIFUL & E HAS A NICE VOICE FOR A YOUNG MAN . CONGRAT QUINN SULLIVAN YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK & DON'T LET NO ONE TAKE YOUR DREAMS FROM YOU GOD BLESS YOU THREW EVERYTHING U DO IN YOUR MUSIC. :0)
James Box, your opinion here means really, really less than nothing. His bluesy notes touch and radiates in some of our veins. But, each to his own. I am digging on it, so There is that. Haters going to hate. Kate Williams said,” Let Haters do their jobs, and hate.” Quinn I’ve been a fan long time, you go boy and keep going. You got this, and you rock!
I guess you might be right? And wrong at the same time, as musicians won't please everyone. But a lot of people seem to appreciate and see his talent. As to myself, I don't listen to him, but I met him in person and he's very humble.
I live in New Bedford and have watched him grow into a great guitarist. His dad and mom really helped him when he was young. Good support. I have been playing guitar for a living since 1965 and really enjoy hearing him and loving his style!
Saw Quinn open a few times for Buddy Guy. His playing was awesome but at his young age, his voice was all over the place. Glad to hear as he has gotten older, his voice has filled in nicely. Was alway fun watching Quinn and Buddy matching riffs on stage. He has had a great mentor!
His voice was weak as a kid, and whose wouldn't be, but I think he did fine here. I met him backstage at tge Hollywood Bowl when he was about 11, and I kicked myself for telling him he'd grow into his "voice." I was right, but I should have kept it to my own damn self. Quinn is brilliant, and Buddy Guy great beyond words.
I doubt anyone who criticizes this awesome young man can even string his guitar or plug a mic in. Quinn keep doing your thing your way. You are a Phenom!!!!!
t34, you're so right! This pitiful performance requires further chances. I mean, t34, you're a nobody, and you play circles around this "still young" kid. Gotta troll a troll, sick as he is.
Agree, cannot be rivalled Allman Brothers, Clapton, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Slash up there with the greats Music is his life no doubt, lives, eats and breathes it Insane ability, amazing vibrato Fantastic band which he will no doubt outgrow A complete package
Wow! Maybe one of the best renditions of Little Wing I’ve ever heard! The band is really in tune with what and where he’s going. A great voice doesn’t hurt either! Great job! He reminds me of Taylor Scott in his stance and the way he holds his guitar. Nice job all the way around!
@@DavidSims-Music Mr. Gayles has so many performances of Little Wing it’s hard to choose just one to cherish but no doubt he does so much justice to this song and then there is John Mayer’s performances that are amazing but if I would have to choose my favorite out of only several musicians to cover this masterpiece it would be SRV’s performance live in St. Louis. He never sings the lyrics but we all get that the man is paying tribute to Hendrix and not just playing the song back for us to hear.
He is obviously really good, and often covers Clapton’s versions of some songs, which is no easy task. Having Buddy Guy as a mentor is a gift from God. Quinn is going to be a great one.
Going to be? I wish I could say I could sing or play any instrument but I can’t but I love listening to music and I could listen to him play all day long. I believe he’s already one of the great ones and will continue to get better and better.
Love this what a talented young man. Buddy Guy your the best for giving this opportunity to Quinn, right from when he was a young boy. God bless you. 💖
Sometime you gotta thank recommendations on TH-cam !!! This is absolutely fantastic & I would never have heard of this guy otherwise. Will be checking him out for sure !!

It's great to be able to watch the future legends of rhythm and blues growing up and maturing. With the likes of Quinn Sullivan and 14 year old Toby Lee, the future of the rhythm and blues is looking very rosy indeed. Great big smiles from across the pond. ☺ 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I have never heard a cover of little wing I like, especially with vocals, but this is 2nd only to Jimi's (imo)...amazing job Quinn, vocals are sooo good!
Buddy Guy my hat’s off to you much respect and love for supporting this youngster! He’s absolutely amazing guitar artist! I love his music and of course the Legend one ☝️ and only Buddy Guy!! Good lord broke the mold after you!!! ✌️✊✊
I’ve noticed that there are 2 different versions of Little Wing. The original Hendrix and the Clapton/ Derrick and the Dominoes arrangement. I’ve heard more covers of the Clapton version. Quinn does a great cover. Thank you Buddy Guy for promoting discovering this young man.
The spirit of Jimmy lives in this young man. He does not copy the notes note by note. He captures the spirit and the life in the music Jimmy intended. From Seattle, Jimmy's birth and resting place. Hat's off to Mr. Quinn. Thank you for keeping Rock n' Roll alive ~ your neighbor
A few months back Christone Ingram, Davy Knowles and Quinn Sullivan all played in Burlington, VT within 2 weeks - what a treat!! Being last in line, I believe Quinn's turnout was diminished by the competition. IMHO Quinn was the best show - but I DID name my son after EC, for whom Quinn some day will carry the torch!
Quinn, don’t listen to the critics. Don’t listen to all the naysayers. You have got much talent and I look forward to hearing you live if you make it to middle Tennessee. Stay focused on the road ahead. Gods got big things in store for you.
The drek playing on MTV now is supposed to represente the death of Rock & Roll. Boring, cookie-cutter, and formulaic, no soul at all. Young Master Sullivan has the heart and soul. Good stuff!
Nothing wrong with the music when there's players like this out there. The problem is that there aren't ears that know the real thing when they hear it. Its not that there are no more potential legends being born. It's that there are no more ears to hear them. It all dies when we can't hear it anymore, even though its playing loudly. his version of Zappa's Black Napkins sealed it for me..

Rare for a masterful guitar player to be a great singer as well, reminds me that they called Stevie Ray double trouble for that very reason.
Check out Jeff pevar..not the best vocals but his guitar rendition is uber rich
This kid’s is really good, but my favorite is Stevie Ray Vaughn’s Little Wing-the best outside of Hendrix.
