Nathan, that is one of the most beautifully figured slabs I believe I've ever seen. BTW, if you have a coyote problem, just put a donkey out in the pasture with the goats. Donkeys naturally hate coyotes and will go to the ends of the earth to kill them. Check out some videos of them in action. Again, great slabs. I'm amazed at your work. Thanks for sharing.

We have a bunch of walnut we were thinking about sawmilling. We're loggers and couldn't stomach hauling it off as hardwood logs for like $45 a ton. We've been saving up a bunch of cherry too. But if they're worth that much, maybe we should just sell them whole lol.. The only thing holding us back from diving into sawmilling full time is we're not sure about the market.. We just realized one day we could probably make a lot more money from sawmilling instead of just hauling them off as logs.

Crotch slabs got real popular real quick. Now that all the folks incline to buy theses slabs are finding the customers for them is saturated now. Most woodworkers are moving back to proper lumber and making “stuff” returning to high demand. Crotch cuts usually have a lot of waste if you want good lumber. I am finding much more lumber and many less slabs.

Well Nathan… The Eastern Plain “I Go Blind” tells me that some really nice walnut is on the mill. And it reminds me of the first time I subscribed to your channel a little over 5 years ago. Thanks for this video . Very nice looking walnut this was the reason I subscribed. I didn't about the prices going up was why you weren't showing it. You do seem to have a lot of irons in the fire , setting up the camera shots on top of that. I watch an animal rescue channel and he says hand feeding young animals gains their trust and tames them some . He raised a baby possum and she had babies and let him see and hold them. I'm not saying I would or to anyone else do that .

A spiritual moment jumps out when you pour water on the slab to reveal the pass 100 years or so that the tree has experienced in its life. A very beautiful moment and one unique to each slab.
