    My son & I made this last night and it turned out amazing!! So soft, fluffy and delicious - we couldn’t stop eating slices with butter. Thanks as always for your easy to follow step by step instructions. Can’t wait to eat some tomorrow with my pepperpot leftovers! :)

    You are right, this is the best recipe I've found. I've made this recipe 3 times already and it always comes out great. I just substitute 1 cup of the flour for whole wheat and it still comes out great

    Did this one Christmas and it was fabulous… the only thing is my mom usually puts sugar in her butter to coat the bread when it’s done … bread was perfect for my first try… highly recommend a kitchen aid to attempt this

    My mother made the best plait bread. And this is how it looked. I've tried to make it. But can never get it right. I am definitely going to try your recipe.

    Good day ..looks so good as always , but can you tell me , what is the difference with the other bread recipes, only thing i see is you used all butter, usually u do butter and shortening ...so is this better , can you explain the difference please..thanks

      You can do whichever you wish. I did it with all butter because so many people ask me what they can do if they don't have the shortening. It's up to you, nothing is better than the other

    Will you see a difference in the texture if you use instant yeast versus regular yeast hence skipping the blooming process? Your bread looks delicious 😋

      No baking powder in this recipe. I used to put it but it’s better without

      It depends on your flour. Maybe another 1/2 cup… you would have to keep adding until soft.

    How much yeast to a pound flour

      2.5tsp to a pound of flour. 4 cups sifted flour is 1lb and 3 1/2 cups unsifted is 1lb.
