Why Shrek 4 is an Underrated Gem (A Schaffrillas Reaction)

The second one was the perfect sequel whilst the third one single handedly ruined this franchise's reputation. Can the fourth one redeem what was once an untouchable character?

i like how donkey running away is a parallel to the first film scene when they become friends and how shrek sorta reconfirms by sitting there alone that he can't do shit alone and he always had help to accomplish things..i love when a movie can reintroduce this in a sequel where the main character hero is pretty much jesus or accomplished his goals cause we the audience need that reminder that they didn't get here alone...they had others help..the character of shrek knows he needs help since movie 1 but the audience sorta takes that for granted and will prop up the protagonist of series this far into its story run because they always win in the end but the fans forget what leads to that victory..friendship love....its never just the main character ieverything cause thats boring...

@@tizyman7120 they really don't, and there is no need to throw in pointless insult it just harms your credability. People are much more inclined to take you seriously if you say something like "actually the first four ice age movies aren't being judged fairly in my opinion, and have a lot more merit than people give them credit for". If you had said that, my immidiate thought would have been "hmm, I don't remember them that way, but maybe I should rewatch and see if I notice something I didn't before!" Instead you now compell me to think you're the kind of person who doesn't put thought into watching movies, because you certainly don't seem to put thought into how you respond to comments. I'm not tryung to tell you what to do, you do what you want, but for your own benefit, I think people would be more inclined to take you seriously if you fleshed out your points rather than adding insults. I mean for all I know people alreadytake you seriously, but I'm not inclined to, but I wish I was. Have a good day either way.

the tower scene in shrek the musical has some definite missteps in it but personally i like it overall, idk. the bowler line is fuckin weird and stupid and the bipolar thing is Yikes but i really like the rest of the song and the way they transition between the different ages and have them all sing in harmony at the end is rad
