Great video! A SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) is different from a promissory note. Those who invest in SAFEs are not entitled to interest or payback of the investment amount. Notes require payback with interest at a maturity date. Pierre is using the term “SAFE Notes” which is not uncommon for non-lawyers; however, legally the instrument is either a SAFE or a note. Just wanted to clarify for others watching the video. Love what Pierre and the EYL family are doing helping our entrepreneurs succeed. I am an attorney who represents companies doing crowdfunding offerings; crowdfunding is becoming the new standard for startup and early-stage companies looking to raise capital.

The biggest challenge with crowd investing, is mostly based on your network which defeats the purpose. Those platforms charge you money to bring your network to invest in your company. There is only one company I know that does not require that is seedrs which promote your deal within their network.

Great presentation…..I would suggest that startups use the revenue share model or intrastate securities exemption first to establish a product market fit before considering a federal Reg CF or or ”RegA+.
The best State for intrastate securities crowdfunding for SMEs are Georgia, Texas, and Florida. QSBS allows investors to benefit from an exemption from capital gains on State and Federal level if stock is held for 5 yrs or more.

Im a black investor in oklahoma & across the country, i have noticed the terms &/or qualifying is much different for people of color even when you find a great deal. And gurus that teach about funding doesnt do what they teach but expect you to buy there program, they teach find a great deal the money will find you. But that isnt true for all, and you dont see any people of color on youtube teach us how to get funding or black private funding stepping up to say we are here, and whats even worse black owned banks ask more from us then other races why? im not asking for special treatment but fair treatment black owned banks are some times harder im 60 yrs old i go thru this every day, and has lost many deals due to cant find funding. For example i have a 18 unit apartment building in a military town its vacant which is harder to fund , but i put together a presentation of the property which is two buildings one with office, i suggested instead of providing rehab for both buy the properties finsh the one with the office first then using the profits of this one to finish the second using the property to secure the funds hiring a management company to run it. To purchase as is $65,000 each for a total of $130,000. If you break it down like this its easy to see the light maybe making one building rentals second building air bnb. The income will be there once they are finished, im going to probaly back out the deal because i cant find rehab/construction funding. Opportunity isnt a equal opportunity If you are a private lender black or any other race and would like a full presentation of this property please reach out to me lets get this done while earning a good return for your investment. One more thing theres good info here but they dont speak of where to go to find money now to do deals thats whats missing, and the private money thats out there isnt for people that looks like me, and they talk about the income gap, this is the perfect picture why...

@@LTisback Thank you for your response i didnt expect any because i was calling out the pink elephant in the room. I have opportunities that comes every day but if i dont start closing most of them my source will stop contacting my company. For example the need for affordable homes the interest rates went up again this morning no matter how small there dream of home ownership stays dream. And the grants given to the same people every year for affordable housing is taken out of the communities and remaining slumlords. I would like to build a community of affordable housing single, multifamily, and apartments affordable doesnt mean less in quality or target a race but it always undercover affects people of color i have talked to tenants that havent seen there landlord in 3yrs her place is falling apart due to no work being done but he receives his section8 every month. I want to change this im not a wealthy man but will give a 150% where im lacking. Change will not come from our gov because they want certain communities to stay in there lane. The only reason they have made wholsaling illegal is because to many people of color is becoming less dependent on the gov. I know what im saying will be looked at as being negative thats ok. But change doesnt come without taking action i cant do it alone. There are vacant properties all over this country it doesnt matter the condition if you can buy it right, even knocking it down and building on the same land because in most case you cant even buy the land for contracted agreement for the property including knocking it down. Again i thank you for responding and at least willing to see the possibilities.
