I made great progress today. My anxiety was bad and then it started to get really bad and I didn’t do anything but sit through it and although I wanted to rip my hair out for 5 minutes straight the anxiety went away after a few minutes. The mental clarity that have now about how to recover from ocd and anxiety is gonna change my life.

sometimes I think we feel like if we don’t do something about the anxiety it won’t go away. But naturally it will go away no matter what if you don’t add fire to the fire. And you quickly realize you do have what it takes to sit with discomfort, you just haven’t done it yet. Once you do sit with the discomfort for 5 or 10 times and then it goes away you feel like you accomplished something and so much strength comes from within that you didn’t know you had.

    👍👏
I’d like more about past events and related shame, fear of harming others and how we break fears down to start recovering

Kirsty, it would be so helpful if you make a video of real event OCD and unconditional self acceptance in the future. Thank you for everything 💜💜💜💜💜

@@kirsty9330 THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. 💜💜💜☺️ And you're welcome. ☺️
Also, Kirsty, how can I still accept myself unconditionally when the past mistakes are too bad? :(

I would love some content on religious OCD/scrupulosity. I struggle with this but can’t find many resources on it.

Thank you for this Kirsty, this video actually opened my eyes to the fact that smoking cigarettes is one of my avoidance behaviours and that I judge myself harshly when I relapse and begin smoking again. Very enlightening and helpful!
    Also #teamkirsty sorry Nick 😂😂😂
