    I hope this video saves money and helps those who need to change the coolant reservoir for their F30 328i. I kept getting a warning on my screen for “Low engine coolant” turns out the coolant level sensor was leaking and causing a malfunction. The part cost $150 at the BMW Dealership and took me less 30 minutes to replace.

    I watch a lot of DIY’s on youtube about BMW’s because I enjoy saving money and working on things myself. This right here is a 10/10, I appreciate you taking the time and uploading this

    Been searching for video on an issue like this and you did a fantastic job. Very clearly illustrated way to replace coolant tank. Thanks a lot.

    Good Content. I bought a reservoir from RockAuto for 36 bucks. The sensor comes installed. Peace out.

    Ok from the repair manual, you don’t have to leave the return line disconnected. Then also you don’t have to put the blower to max settings.
    Literally the manual says (coolant bleeding)
    1. Put car into run (without starting)
    2. Set max heat temperature
    3. Set blower to lowest settings
    4. Turn headlight on
    Though I skip the headlight part

    I noticed that you didn't open the 3 bleeder valves, do I have to open them for proper bleed on my 2014 F30 320i ???

    Hey question, on the first seconds of the video you show the underneath hose of the reservoir, what’s the name of that hose ? Mine is leaking

    The coolant level sensor is built into the reservoir right?

    Did you have a very very very small leak over time? Like eventually over a few weeks it would have a decent amount gone. Because my coolant level low comes up every time I start the car and I had my radiator replaced and I think this is it

      Yes it was a small leak at first and eventually every time I started the car I got the low coolant warning.

    Hey bro do you have any app or chat place? I got a problem with my sensor. I can’t find the location of the coolant level sensor at. In your video shows that your got corroded. Mine wires I can’t fine but I got the plug that goes to its and they were strip off. I can’t tell which wire was it. It would be really really awesome if you have a photo or take a pic of the sensor i could see. 🙏

    hey there, i have a slight crack on my reservoir too. i'd like to know if its necessary to flush all the coolant out after i change the tank or i can just reuse the coolant in the old tank and top it up a little bit if it isnt enough ?

    • @importkingz2479
      @importkingz2479  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Flushing the coolant is recommended so that there isn’t any air in the system. I would also use fresh coolant that way you’re free from any contamination.

      Appreciate the reply ! Does that mean i will have to do a full coolant flush for everywhere including the coolant from both sides near the wheel and the radiator?

    • @importkingz2479
      @importkingz2479  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FWPresents just a flush from the reservoir should be good. Having a partner will make this really easy!

    Is this the same as a 2016 320i?

    • @importkingz2479
      @importkingz2479  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This car was a 2013 328i. It had a different tune from the factory that produces more horsepower but it’s less fuel efficient than the 320i.
