    This is really nice. I see the cranes were fully assembled on the dockside and then packed down for transport to go under that bridge. It's hard to believe all those parts came down the N22 and thru the Jack Lynch tunnel. One can only imagine the monsters they will build when the N22 bypass is done and the residents of Macroom get their main street back. edit - Just read some parts come by sea from Fenit of all place.

      Built by Liebherr in Killarney , transported in sections by road to Verolme Dockyard , assembled on dockside here and rolled onto ship via crawlers

    I wonder why the capacity is in Long Tons and not tonnes?

    • @dronehawk
      @dronehawk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One long ton is equal to 2,240 pounds and is mostly used in the United Kingdom as a unit of mass/weight. This measurement is also used in the U.S. tonnage of naval ships.

      Yes, they're being sent to the USA who are a little slow to grasp the metric system.

      When videoing , can you not do it factually .....no need for dramatic interventions ! You are surely not looking for an award for cinematography! ! Do it plain and simple showing the scale of the product , the complications of reassembly and transport .

      Would have liked less camera motion and more big picture shots. Would have been nice to have enough time to absorb shots rather than ‘break neck speed’ to the next shot.
