Watch a full tutorial as a 2009 Cadillac Escalade. will have a brand new Pioneer Double Din Touch Screen Radio installed. This new radio introduces wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and additional smartphone features.
NOTE: This vehicle was equipped with the factory BOSE amplified system, rear seat entertainment (RSE), steering wheel volume controls, backup camera, and OnStar which we will retain with our new radio. The parts below will reflect all different trim levels for your install at home.
This video applies to Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, and Escalade EXT models for years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. This video also includes dash trim and stereo removal, radio wiring, programming, and installation.

The recommended dash kit says Escalade 07-09. With 07-14 3rd generation Escalades being virtually the same is that 07-09 restriction accurate?

That’s the radio harness, included with the radio.

@@malczaki With all parts we used in the video, yes to have all the factory features retained while adding another radio with more features.

I do not see the harness to retain the factory backup camera. Which one did you use?
It's included with the Pac harness kit. It simply plugs into the harness and the camera intput of the radio.
Does it have the DVD bypass in motion watching movie while driving?
That depends on the radio brand. We bypassed the restriction on this unit specifically, yes.
Thanks , is this a DVD player ? This can play mirroring in the back rear as well?
Yes, which is why we went with this specific unit to display DVD / AV on the rear screens.@@ericjohnson3222
What about android radios ?
This setup works for any traditional double din radios. Careful with android based radios, as they can be super hit and miss in quality and compatibility. I recommend going with a brand name unit.
i did install the harness rp5-gm31 but the rear screen won’t turn on
Turn on, or display the image? You need to hook up both video RCA ables to supply the image to both screens.

Grid lines for backing up?
This model year Escalade doesn’t have the grid lines, those come in a later year
@@jwell11602014 does have grid lines, which move with the turn of the steering wheel.
