      Elite Driver. Core scores. Neither exist with this company. Just do the job to the best of your ability.

      You get better base pay, and it recommends a higher tip to the customer, plus your location and where you live is a big factor

      You get more opportunity to make better money bc you get to dash anytime even if it's not real busy or too many dasher in your zone etc. You have a better chance of making more as a top dasher than when your ratings don't qualify

    Great video but it would be nice if doordash would be more upfront about this instead of it being a hidden achievement (im a gamer damnit :P).
    Same with reports it would be nice to have that stuff in the app somewhere.

      I am an independent contractor. There has been no discussions between me and the company in representing them in any official way. That is why I can praise them and be critical of them at the same time. I do have a good relationship with key people in the company though that do take my videos a little seriously, and I like that arrangement at the moment.

    There are very few restaurants in Central New Jersey (below Morristown) that use Drive Dash. I frequently sit an entire 3.5 hour shift with not one order when dashing in NJ. DD simply has not the contracts in these areas yet. So one has to drive to an area where there is ample opportunity to profitably dash. For me, this adds 45-60 minutes to any one starting area. The added unpaid travel time (both ways) really brings down the $$/hr.

    The dasher help is crap waste of time .u have to open the bag and check all the food not saying u have to open up the wrapping to see if the put ketchup on it but u have to count all the stuff in the bag and close it up this is the right way to do this because if u check in the app u got all of the food and correct it will be ur fault if they didn’t get an item

    That 5% seems the hardest to me just because places like Mcdonalds probably fucks up more than that and you wouldn't know without opening the wrappers. Also I have never done doordash but I am guessing occasionally someone will be mad you didn't get them some kind of sauce despite it not being ordered.

    so what's your lowest rating? mine went down when I started dashing in the mornings and delivering Starbucks and others where u have to place the order yourself(sucks big time), usually get orders that are already late. Customer is probably rating doordash when they rate the driver. One would hope DoorDash would not send the same driver to those customers that gave him/her less than 5 stars...

      BrutusPalmeira good to know. I just started doordash a week ago. Had a 5 rating till this morning😢 went from a 5 to a 3.8 and I have no idea why. Plus it was my 1st time delivering in the a.m...coincidence, i think not. And yea, one order I had to place.

      BrutusPalmeira this has happen to me 4 dashers turned down a order when I Received itBy then the customer is very fucking pissed but say I get a order at 7:07 and it says delivered by 630 but I got it at 7:07 I called customer support immediately and wait for 45 minutes for somebody to answer the app has a lot of bugs in it

      @@flawlesslippydivasquad8349 My girlfriend works at a job where surveys are a way of life. She told me that one bad survey can take a perfect rating and cut it in half, if you haven't gotten very many surveys back. Don't stress, especially in the begging. The more deliveries you complete, the higher your rating will go, unless you are always getting bad surveys. Just do your job to the beat of your abilities, and you will be fine.

    • @kevinwallis8950
      @kevinwallis8950 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@charlesbrewer1426 wanted to share what I've learned. I don't stress about the drop off time. Just yesterday, I got a sushi order, door dash gave me 30 mins to complete. They then stacked three more orders on me at the same time. (They say they will give me proper time to complete) they then moved the sushi to be delivered in 20 mins (10 less mins). Before I could deliver, I had to pick up Zoe's Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, and PF Chang's, then deliver everything. So tell me how is it fair that I went from 1 order with lots of time, to 4 with very little time? I just do the job to the best of my abilities,strait to each pick up and trait to drop off. You can't waste time contacting doordash every time a thing goes wrong. If it's extrem like the customer gave you the wrong address, then contact them. My "ON" time rating sucks cause they did this, but I don't waste a second getting to the food or the dop off point. Most of the time they do give me enough time though. The less you stress about the number, the better you will feel.

      This post is two years old. Last fall they began issuing contract violations if you are ten minutes or more late getting to the merchant. We might have a bit more wiggle room on the customer end but am not sure. So, you should all document in the comments if you are ten minutes or more late getting to either one. Of course we know that most of the time it is due to something out of our control.

    I signed up with door dashers last week and signed up for a shift last Thursday for 3 hours. I was only online a few minutes when I received my first delivery. However I received it through a text message instead of through the app. I then proceeded to go the pickup location and when I was a few minutes from it I received another text message from door dashers stating the pickup had been reassigned to another dashers because they were unable to send the request through the app. This happened 4 or 5 times in a row and I contacted support and went through all their troubleshooting steps. the app still did not work. Finally I was told that others were having the same issue and they were trying to get it fixed and would get in touch with me when it was working properly. It is now a week later and I still haven't been contacted from them so last night I tried again just to see if it would work but no same problem. I contacted support again and they acted like this was the first they had heard of the issue. Have u or anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it? If not do you have any suggestions for me on how to fix this issue? Thanks

    I don't have time to hope that a time slot opens up in my area to work and also have to choose a starting point. That's ridiculous!This system is stupid, convoluted and restricting. Uber Eats just go on-line when and where you want and thats it. Easy!

      You can do the same with DD if you qualify for Top Dasher. The qualifications aren’t quite as stringent as for elite dasher. Have been TD for over a year now. In my Chicago market the workload will usually allow one to get on without advance booking.

      We are not allowed to go through any food bags. So missing items are on the merchant unless we had to place order ourselves. Thankfully this is very rare. Once the delivery is made things are out of our hands. In some cases we don’t get the roster of items.

    • @starkreality4574
      @starkreality4574 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. As a dasher with 600 dashes under his belt I can safely say that they do not discipline you for ending your dash early or not showing up for a shift like GrubHub does. If you don’t turn on for a shift, they will just end your dash automatically after half an hour or so but all you have to do is create a new schedule. The problem in some areas with not working your schedule is that if you miss your schedule, you may not be able to get another one right away because other Dashers have already snagged them up. It happened here for months when more drivers started signing up but it’s stabilized since then. I never go a week without a full schedule now. The only two things that matter more than anything is your customer rating and completion rating. Keep those up and you can end and start as many dashes as you want.

    I don't like working for doordash becuase every time I accept on her you only have 6 minutes to pick up the fpod and deliver it and the customer keeps calling you like 4 times and door dash customer setvice as well and the customer gives you a loe rating on postmates and all the other apps at least the customer can see where you at when you are on your way to drop it off I never had many calls from customers and door dash bothering you asking for eta every 5 minutes door dash needs to have live tracking like everyone else so customers don't give bad ratings or bothering you with call I will not work door dadh because of this
