Travel Assist and Lane Assist Tested on a Highway | VW ID.4 1st Max

  • My Last video about testing the Lane Assist (LA) and Travel Assist (TA) had reactions that it wasn't done good and the way I did the test favors TA by a big margin. So I took the advice and went to a normal usage condition like on a highway with some curvy parts as highly requested. Here is the REAL difference between TA and LA. Enjoy

    If someone asks whats the difference between Travel Assist and Lane Assist you show this video to them.
    Question remains if it is the same for the Skoda Enyaq and Audi Q4 Etron and future MEB cars.

    • @EV.Furkan

      Depending on the curvature of the roads and speed TA handles very well. twisty roads are fine with 50kph, but with 70 kph can slowly drift away if its a long 90/180/270 degree corner.

    Hi Furkan, I'm bit confused on the lane assist. I drive at this moment a 2017 Skoda Octavia with lane assist and had the same "ping pong" behaviour. After a few days I discovered the option adaptive lane assist in the settings that keeps the car in the center. I would be shocked if this cannot be enabled on newer cars from the same factory group.

    How is the break in id-4, some reviewers reported being soft lot spongy, you need to break harder. Thank you for the reviews you are doing. It is more important than professional reviews as there will be some loyalty to one brand or another.

    • @EV.Furkan
      @EV.Furkan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats a valid concern because now and then it feels "spongy". Reason for this is that the car can decide to brake earlier for lets say junctions and roundabouts. this is a setting you can enable or disable. What this does is that the car decides with help of navigationdata and previous times you went on the same road how to "behave". It gets very technical, but happens if you put it on "D" mode. So basicly you always go 30 on a corner, the car will then brake for you and go 30. Want to brake abit harder? then it will feel "spongy" because the system was already braking for you, but not that hard ofcourse. Issue with test cars are that the car cant get used to the driver and the way he is driving normally. How 1 drivers will be totally different then the other one if they drive the same route day after day.

    • @masterma2663
      @masterma2663 3 ปีที่แล้ว
