I got chills at that intro. Time passes so damn fast... I remember being a 16 year old on Christmas Day watching during Doctor Who whilst my parents were telling me to stop being anti social (I know he likes it, I just stopped being into it at like 14 or something). I remember when Dan used to reply and engage with his subs back when it was actually feasible. Of course I'm happy he has lots of subs now, I just feel less special I guess haha.
I remember when I was 19 watching some downloaded episodes on the plane from Belfast to Bristol when I moved out my parents home to go to university. I remember one of the Fresher Week nights I just marathoned older NerdCubed instead of partying (I even remember Hard TIme was one of them). I miss that 2 year period of falling asleep near the end of the video and getting woken up abruptly by the outro music. *VIDEOS DROPPING FROM ABOVE LIKE BIRD POO*
I remember meeting one of my best friends through the NerdCubed Steam Group Chat when it was new, and I have had amazing experiences travelling to Denmark to visit him, staying in his house in Jutland experiencing life as a Dane thanks to the NerdCubed Steam Group and him visiting me in the UK only a few weeks ago over New Years. I have since learnt Danish because of it (og det er så fucking fedt :D). I met another one of my good friends on the NerdCubed teamspeak that I talk to on a daily basis, she's planning to visit the town I currently live in the UK this Summer..
NerdCubed has been a big part of, and literally changed my life giving me international experiences, real-life friends and a foreign language. This is legitimately emotional for me.

This is probably ripped from their old game, which is more true than you realize, because they just aren't done with the actual story. Or at least I hope so. I feel they could tell a much better story than that shit but eh whatever if it is the story, so be it. Just the dev never said it was complete so I feel there's still much more he wants to do with it.
I had Lugaru back in the day. This campaign is literally a carbon copy remaster of their original game. Level design, dialogue, everything. Just updated in the new engine. And it is definitely dated, and it shows.
They're throwing a surprising amount of backstory and lore into the different races in the game. For a while they had a comic they were working on to demonstrate the world, and they are surprisingly adept at storytelling now.
Lugaru was an indie game made well over 12 years ago by like two guys. Overgrowth was developed in much the same way for most of its development, and they only expanded their team relatively recently to try and get it finished. They designed everything including their engine from the ground up, with user development tools that they have created solely for the game. It's honestly incredibly impressive.
