In case no one has told Dan, you can access apartment CCTV footage. Although it is normally not in the basement. Check the higher floors. I've had everything from the 7th through the 13th floor have the camera room
This game would be crazy if after X number of days. There's a chance for someone to investigate/follow you, find where you live. So you need to be careful and watch your back. You don't know who. But let's just say murderers and hired killers don't take kindly to successful detectives
Honestly it's almost guaranteed that at one point in a save an NPC murderer, and the NPC victims, eventually mess up their pathing and get stuck permanently. It softlocks your game from progressing because no more murders can happen until that one does, but one or both memember are stuck so it never happens. Hopefully One day we will get an answer to that though...
@H0NCH0P0NCH0 sleeping in bed fixes almost and possibly even all NPC pathing issues. Whenever I'm waiting for a murder I just sleep in my apartment and there is always a murder after a certain point
I love the methodical nature of this game I love how if you play your cards right you can come out feeling pretty good about yourself. If not you can be stuck there for a while

@@roblaaa1845 It runs okayish on my 7700k, gtx1070, 32gb ram. Though with default settings it's around 40fps and some more complex buildings it'll drop to 14-16 for a bit. The game is in alpha, read some people with better systems do run into issues as well.
@@roblaaa1845 It's not that bad on lower settings. Worst comes to worst you can drop the resolution to 720p and turn things down a bit. I've also heard the game runs better in windowed mode, so you could use a program like borderless gaming to run it in (fake) fullscreen.
I think the fingerprint at the scene of the crime didn't count because it was their own home. It's not evidence they were there at the time of the crime since the fingerprint could be old. If you'd got someone identifying them as being at the scene or got the print off the weapon it would have worked.

Can't wait for when this game gets multiplayer functionality! They could add a server where people try to blend into the NPC's while getting away with murder while someone else tries to hunt them down. Would make for a great community lets play
except a part of the appeal of this game is all these npcs have lives, they have work at certain times they can get fired, they can move, they go get food, the meet up with people, and when one gets angry they formulate a plan and work to get enough money to then buy a gun on the black market and then commit the murder and then go back to to living normal life trying to blend in, or the side missions for example, one company trying to get ahead of the other by painting the rival ceo in a bad light. Each character has a life. while I agree i think ALL and i mean ALL games should have an option for multiplayer, I dont think the way you described it would do this game any good. no incentive for players to have a normal life no incentive to have a routine no incentive not to dump money on a gun just kill someone for no reason since the npc you killed means nothing to you, you didnt sim your life/work around them and now you just killed to kill and instead of trying go back to work and live a normal life trying to get money to stay afloat you are just playing cat and mouse because you dont care about living a life you care about being seen by the detective player. it makes it a hide-and-seek game rather then a detective game
Remember when cdpr lied when they made out cyberpunk was the most emercive open world game ever made? well in this game you can go into any building on any floor and it actuly has a inside. you can follow any npc and they actuly have places they need to be. you can sit in a booth order a beer get drunk and then vomit into a toilet. How is it that this inde game is better than a game that people wouldnt shut the heck up about for years, it just proves why tripple A dosnt mean anything in terms of quality

It's entirely procedural, the city is randomly generated and every citizen has a series of relationships and associations that it will randomly generate a serial killer from. The serial killer will have a randomly generated MO, calling card, and a slew of other details too. So it's possible to play this game for hours and get multiple different murderers from a crap ton of backgrounds!
@@Lucifer_Crowe Depends. Sometimes its obvious but on my current game, I've had only 4 murders committed by 2 serial killers working their way through the people they work with.

In fact, Teardown is simply the result of a destruction engine experiment that had been carried out in Voxels before the creators realised the idea's potential.

I think it can be on any floor above the 3rd. I've had it on 4th and 6th.
Annoyingly, some buildings don't seem to have a CCTV room at all.
i just need to say, you dont NEED to beat the people before arresting them, you can just go behind them and use the handcuffs.

My main problem with this game is, if you're a detective, you should get free reign of crime scenes if the cops are there.
You're more of a private investigator. In the tutorial it says that the Enforcers don't want to solve the murders
You're not a _detective_ detective, you're a PI with no actual legal authority. You're basically just a civilian who's being paid to be nosy.
