Great comparison, Kevin! Thanks for the unbiased review. Most of the time, I can predict that tech reviewers will pick the higher-end device in a comparison...just because. I appreciate you saying that if your need is A, B, and C, then the A7 will be fine for you. Because to be honest, most people under-use the equipment they buy. You made great points about the differences in multitasking, camera, etc. Keep up the great reviews!

These aren’t really comparison videos, this is a video for people to confirm their biases. People will buy what they planned on initially regardless of the reviews, usually due to budget constraints. The A7 is an attractive looking tablet with an attractive price tag but that’s where it ends. The A7 can’t even provide a smooth Netflix experience which is what 90% of people buying a tablet will be using it for. The A7 is only good if you do light gaming like Clash of Clans or anything that’s not graphic intensive, I will give you that, that those run smoothly but those games will even run on a 10 year old device so it’s not much of a claim. If you only plan on using your device to check emails and don’t care much for the user experience, then sure the A7 is good enough, but paying $200 for an A7 instead of spending double for a decent device is much bigger waste of money because the A7 is already outdated spec-wise by 3-5 years the moment you receive it. If you want a tablet, save a little more, purchase second hand if you have to, just don’t make the mistake of buying the A7.
I really appreciate that the keyboard case was not mentioned. So many reviews on the s7 use majority of the time reviewing the keyboard with dex as if it was included with the tablet. In this video you kept it strictly to the device itself that comes with the packaging! Very nice.
I closed (and put to sleep) all background apps and set the brightness of my Tab S7 at 40% (which is still very bright). After running TH-cam continuously for 10 hours, the battery was still at 53 percent. The Tab S7s battery life is amazing!
Honestly, I feel that the internal storage is absolutely irrelevant when a MicroSD slot is included. I literally will not buy a portable device if it does not have a MicroSD slot, period. It is a 100% dealbreaker for me if a device does not have a MicroSD slot.
@@curtisj2165 Lol exactly, you hit the nail on the head. I absolutely despise apple devices and always have. Have never bought one and never ever will. An Android based phone is basically a computer in your pocket, and being a tech head it's right up my alley. I would never ever be satisfied with a shitty Apple product. And that's not even getting into how absolutely overpriced they are and not having any sort of expandable storage. I've custom built my own home computers for over 20 years. Anything less than top level performance is not acceptable. My tablet needs are very simple. I just purchased an A7 with 32GB. 64GB was available for an additional $50, which I deemed unnecessary for my needs. The additional cost of the S7 over the A7 is just not justifiable for me. Resolution above 1080p is irrelevant for my needs, which is mostly for internet browsing and the occasional Netflix movie when traveling.. Cameras are also irrelevant and would not considered a minus if no cameras were included at all. So far, the A7 has met or exceeded all of my expectations.
I've custom knitted my own socks for 30 years. My sock needs are that they just not have holes (except the one I put my feet in) and that they look cool with sandals. I bought the A7 the sales rep was cute.
I broken my laptop and wanted a replacement to do basic school work, I went to best buy and saw both I didn't know what to get, after seeing your video the S7 is for me. Thanks!!!

Great review Kevin well done. For me price is important so I would base my decision on what kind of user I am - I am a light to medium user at best so the A7 has been perfect for me and am very happy in the 3 days since I got it. I have to say that I am coming from a Samsung Tab 10.1 which was 9 years old and I used it rarely so the bar is very low LOL Internet, video play and app opening have all been fast or acceptable speeds - even playing large movies via WiFi from my PC has been absolutely great. Hi Kevin, a great review. I have not purchased a tablet before, and was thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7? I am a street photographer, and would only need to do a small amount of photo editing when on the move, possible only using such apps as Snapseed and that sort of thing! Do you think the A7 tablet would be sufficient for this sort of photo editing? Thanks again Kevin.
I do think it would be sufficient but you would be better served with the newer Galaxy Tab A8! I'm uploading a review and comparison for that tablet when I have the chance :)
First time I have watched one of your videos. Overall good comparison. Can I make improvement suggestion..to make sure when you switch to views of the tablets they stay on the same sides they are when you talking on mic. If you overlay a title above each it would be even more dummy proof for people like me. A few times the A7 was on the opposite side, knowing very little about each tablet it was confusing which was which.
Thanks for this video. One pointer that would improve comparisons: put a note on screen when you are talking about/holding on screen one tablet to say which it is :) Cheers!
What am I missing!!? The camera quality was not as sharp on the S7 compared to A7. what's been your experience Soo far? Would u recommend for video recording?l
@@pourladentelle for me I feel like the A7 and S7 are both more similar than not for the camera quality. I use the A7. If you need a laptop replacement, go for S series. For casual use the A7 is doing more than fine for me. I use it for browsing, Snapseed image editor, Adobe lightroom and just TH-cam and music The battery life is very good. If I don't use it at all, it will last for 4 days. But charging takes time. That charger is a sin.
Nice video. If you are doing comparison, you should label which device is currently on screen; they look so much alike. And I don't think it makes much of a difference, but I noticed a few people always have the faster model on the right. If you are right handed, you are always going to be slower doing things with your left hand. I noticed the movements are not as fluent on your left hand. You can film it twice and used right hand for both and put the videos together for side by side comparison.
I love how I have the S7, with all of its power and that sweet battery life, yet the games I play are low power, To your note at the end, I picked it because I want a tablet that should last a long amount of time, staying ahead of what I play
Watching on my tab s7, only had it 2 days, what an awesome machine, dex mode let's me use it as full laptop hooked upto my big dell monitor. Imo the dex is a game changer and a dex breaker
Great video! How does S7' screen reflection/brightness look outdoor when compared to the A7. I have A7 and the screen reflection outdoor is horrible. It's more like a mirror with the screen on or off (maximum brightness) when outdoor and can't really enjoy it ( sitting in shadow on a sunny day). Thanks.
3:28 The Samsung A71 phone has a faster charger?? I just bought the A71 last week and the charger is still in the box, unused. I took for granted that all chargers are the same, and I'm using the Samsung A7 tablet charger.

I just picked up a7 from sams webstite for $150. I’d like to see any other $150 tablet out there outperform it. Many reviewers compare it to tablets that cost double or triple the price.
hi kevin, very good review I bought this, but there is an issue and is present in replaced units as well, could you please check yours ? To replicate the issue perform following steps: 1. Turn brightness high, get in a dark room 2.Turn on bluelight filter 4.Turn on dark mode 3.go to settings, tap on search symbol, keyboard will appear, hide it(close keyboard only) ,now whole screen should be blank with just search bar at top 4. Now keep looking carefully ,my whole screen flickers, does yours?

Overall the A7 is the better deal. It's essentially a budget S series tablet. For practicality purposes I'd choose the A7 - low cost and not much of a difference from the S series. But I want to download my Steam+ Xbox Live +PSN and stream hard...cant do do that with A7 quality.... I need something with more power and bigger memory....plus its gotta compete with the IPAD

Here I am, watching this on my dear old TabS2, still going strong.
Thanks for this video. One pointer that would improve comparisons: put a note on screen when you are talking about/holding on screen one tablet to say which it is :)
Cheers!
Woah the A7 is 30% of the cost. Just picked up one yesterday and it is awesome
What am I missing!!? The camera quality was not as sharp on the S7 compared to A7.
what's been your experience Soo far?
Would u recommend for video recording?l
@@pourladentelle for me I feel like the A7 and S7 are both more similar than not for the camera quality. Both are quite a bit less than say an S20 phone or older so perhaps try the cheaper one first and see if you like it enough to save the difference. If the OLED screen is preferred go for the S instead?
S7 with the pen is🔥
Great video'
Thanks bro!
He’s Better than Samsung customer center answered everything I needed to know!!
Thanks for the review! Helped me choose the one I'm buying (S7). What's that racing game ur playing at 5:40?? And do you recommend the Sam cover or do you hve a good alternative? Thanks again, and yours in peace!
Its asphalt 9 and yes if you want a fully fledged laptop
Thank you so much for this!!
In India Tab A7 (wifi variant ) is priced at 230$ , through amazon prime coupon and bank discount I got it for 190$
For the price it's perfect and I can't ask anything more
Do you draw on it

Hi there 👋...I just got the tab s7...I am a true novice... still trying to figure everything out... everyone that sees it are impressed... me... I'm just to remember all the stuff the young man at Verizon told me...I'm getting there though... thanks 😊...
Thanks for the video. You helped decide what Tablet to get.
Great video! Thank you sir
I picked up the A7 this weekend and my wife and I hate it, it’s so laggy out of the box. I think I’ll take it back and try out the S7.
So how did the S7 do. I can get the A7 for free or s7 for like 350 over 2 years with T-Mobile.
@@str8blastn_HTX I returned it and bought an iPad off Facebook Marketplace. It was 100% better.
@@FrankyChav I can get an iPad 9 generation for free also. I just don't really like Apple. I'm going to take my chances with the S7 I appreciate the feedback
Great comparison & info..thank you
Im sad the A7 doesn't come w pressure sensitivity pen :((
I use the A7. If you need a laptop replacement, go for S series. For casual use the A7 is doing more than fine for me. I use it for browsing, Snapseed image editor, Adobe lightroom and just TH-cam and music
The battery life is very good. If I don't use it at all, it will last for 4 days.
But charging takes time. That charger is a sin.
What about viewing angles
I have been hearing the display is bad and viewing angles are horrendous
hey bro, is the tab a7 good for web browsing in desktop mode?
Is there any chance to make the A7 charger faster by using another fast charging head without damaging the battery?
Thanks for the video young man^
I love how I have the S7, with all of its power and that sweet battery life, yet the games I play are low power,
To your note at the end, I picked it because I want a tablet that should last a long amount of time, staying ahead of what I play
Watching on my tab s7, only had it 2 days, what an awesome machine, dex mode let's me use it as full laptop hooked upto my big dell monitor. Imo the dex is a game changer and a dex breaker
is there an A3, A4 and A5 ?? When I tried looking them up, they didn’t pop up
Great video! Thanks.
It's a very honest non-bias review and thanks for the info
For me i used tablet mainly for storing files and for internet..... i'm just considering A7.....

The Samsung A71 phone has a faster charger??
I just bought the A71 last week and the charger is still in the box, unused.
I took for granted that all chargers are the same, and I'm using the Samsung A7 tablet charger.
Dude! from where did u got those wallpapers?

U might be surprised but, I have the tab A7 with 32 gb and for me the 32 gb is more then enough! Since before, I had a 2016 zenpad with only 16 gb! Yup, don't judge lol
I just picked up a7 from sams webstite for $150. I’d like to see any other $150 tablet out there outperform it. Many reviewers compare it to tablets that cost double or triple the price.

hi kevin,very good review
I bought this, but there is an issue and is present in replaced units as well, could you please check yours ? To replicate the issue perform following steps: 1. Turn brightness high, get in a dark room 2.Turn on bluelight filter 4.Turn on dark mode 3.go to settings, tap on search symbol, keyboard will appear, hide it(close keyboard only) ,now whole screen should be blank with just search bar at top 4. Now keep looking carefully ,my whole screen flickers, does yours?
Hi Kevin is the A7 better than the kindle fire 10 inch?
I have the s7 256 gb, it has 8gb of ram and i love it
Wow, very nice comparison. Just wished there was a sound comparison too. Can I ask you, are the speakers the same on both or the S7 is still better?
A7 is better
A7 has 4 speakers and its better.
@@abdikalka7759 no way A7 is better, S7 has 4 speakers too and it's the top of the line
@@_Digitalguy If you watch a7 vs s7 speaker test, you will see that the a7 is better.

Dude, you've got some nice accent (not easily detectable to most people I think), are you by any chance Persian (or of Persian descendants)?
cheers,

P.S.
i just got confuce which one are you talking about....maybe in the next video, you can tag the vid the variation of that devices...tq
btw your comparison video was good
What are the charging times for each device with the bundled charger?
So in other words, the more expensive S7 is superior. Simple as that. Hence the reason certain things cost more than others.
I have the A7 and love it ! i got it at walmarts for 224 dollars with free ahipping and handlings. I found he charging pretty fast for what it is.
this is really helpful
Nice Thanks
Waiting for S7 lite or S7e 😎
Hope they have Amoled screen, 128gb & 25w wireless Charging
The Tab S5e has a better screen than these ?
Yup
I have the S7 Plus and I already had a 45 watt charger for the Note 10 Plus so I use it on this tablet and it charges it pretty quick.
Can I use S7 for Document editing( Microsoft Word) ? Is the experience same with the Desktop version ?
As a curiosity note, where are you? I notice the beautiful either red or pin oak leaves. I'm a deciduous tree fan -- for Fall colors. The leaves on the floor of your patio look to be red oak, but the single leaf on the red chair looks like a pin oak. Just curious.
I’m in Southern Ontario Canada. We have both types of oak trees here in the backyard 😄

I'm a bit jealous. I just love Oaks and Maples. At my previous house I had 2 Northern Red Oaks, California Live Oak and a beautiful Norway Maple. I had a Sugar Maple for 5 years, but for some reason, it died --- I was incredibly sad over that.
Thanks for replying.
I just bought the A7 64gb for $199 on Amazon, seems like a great deal.
I bought it cheaper on Walmart's sight
@@danoobsta6890 Yeah you can get the 32GB vesrion for cheaper.
A7 tab is better
Overall the A7 is the better deal. It's essentially a budget S series tablet. For practicality purposes I'd choose the A7 - low cost and not much of a difference from the S series. But I want to download my Steam+ Xbox Live +PSN and stream hard...cant do do that with A7 quality.... I need something with more power and bigger memory....plus its gotta compete with the IPAD
