    painting-the-l...
In this video I paint the clothes of Saint George, and I talk especially about the straight yellow lines (the Chrisokondilies) that decorate them.
It's an easy technique but requires experience and practice, and its always helpful to watch somebody paint them . Hopefully you will find this video helpful!

I hope you do a video on that color - it always surprises me to see how vivid it is! We tend to imagine most icons are somber/earth tones, but this color is just wow! And i really enjoy hearing your voice, it makes me smile to hear the humor in it - you're really quite funny sometimes!

Precious work you do. I have a request. I know some ancient greek and try to hear the words you use when you refer to "linery" and other terms, like "cold light", but I cannot make them out enough to learn them. Can you give a list of these art terms in Greek? Like "rimatos" (sorry for mispelling), when referring to lines? I understand propsopon, and proplasmi, but I would love to know the greek word and spelling. God bless you and your hands.

Looks like your brush can hold a lot of paint, even if it is painting fine details (not a large brush). I think I need a better brush for my tempera paintings :)

Great video. I guess the bright red color from the past was achieved with minium (also known as lead red). Today, one can use cadmium red to imitate, but the effect it will never be the same. Antonis, do you sometimes work with historical pigments?
