    Thank you for all your videos. I have learned such a lot from them, and watch closely before painting the next part of any icon…. always helpful. God bless, from Australia.

    I have recently discovered your videos here and am enjoying them very much. This one was especially good because clothing can be quite difficult and is something that many artists rush through so they can spend more time on faces. That is a mistake because while the face is usually the focal point of a painting (and definitely the focal point of an icon), in an icon, everything must work together. By the way, your English is very good.

    Dear Antonis,
    Fascinating to watch and such a beautiful result.Thank you for posting this video!!
    I have a question please. How does painting the clothing of a holy person compare to painting the iconographic cloth we see on the walls of certain Churches as ornament? Thank you so much, if you have a moment. I don't want to take up too much of your time.
    Celeste
    PS. I love your English!

    Your hand always seems so sure - it’s intriguing to watch. Is there any chance you might teach a course on Patreon? To provide a PDF of an icon sketch, and an image of the prototype - and then give a course on how to paint it from beginning to end? You could give a start date and a list of supplies for people to be ready (tho I think i have everything on hand). And it would be financially stable as you can reuse the same teaching course over and over again. :)

      Suku Mac in the videos I post you can find many tips as to how i paint an icon. Its a great idea to paint an icon from scratch but its almost impossible to be done in one sitting. If somebody needs tutoring from me its more useful to have me critique the icons and give personal tips on what to be careful of and answer questions one to one. I dont think it's necessary to watch me paint live....these videos are great for that. Of course I will consider uploading courses in patreon as a thank you to my one -so far- patron hehe. Thank you so much for taking time to comment.

      Painting the Light . Hello. Thanks for the response. I did not mean for the lesson to be one video. I thought maybe a course, with many videos , may take a few weeks, and each person will pay for the course - by contributing to Pateron. - or a set amount for the full course, like 200. US dollars and the people provide their own supplies.

    Dear Antonios, I find as well, very useful your guidance on our state of mind and spirit when painting icons.
    Do you scratch the initial drawing on board? Did you paint two layers of proplasmos? Thanks a lot

    • @PaintingtheLight
      @PaintingtheLight  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i try to avoid scratching on board as much as i can. especially on face. instead i paint black outlines before proplasmos. sometimes i paint one layer of proplasmos sometimes 2.
