I’m 23, born a year or so after Jerry died. I grew up on classic rock, but only got into the dead over the past two years. The feelings they give are almost indescribable, but if you’re here I’m sure I don’t need to explain that to you. I put this music on and watch these guys and I just weep in pure joy and amazement. Whose with me?

Never went to another show after 1978. I have watched the 7/7/89 show over and over and thought it may have been the absolute best. I have also seen a version of "The Other One" with Vince, and now can't fiond it. If anyone knows where to find it, please let me know- it was outdoors, but not the one at Golden Gate Park.

I was at this run of Hampton shows (3/26-3/28). Best set of shows I ever saw the Boys play. Great arena. Only 12,000 capacity, best acoustics of any indoor venue I've been to, and by then Hampton Coliseum was the last general admission venue the Dead played on the East coast. They loved playing Hampton, and Hampton loved hosting them. I recall trying to find a hotel for me and my friends. When I inquired at one place about vacancy the gal replied, "We're all booked up that weekend! The Grateful Dead are coming to town and we're proud of it!" Good times.

Yes. They were putting up one hit wonder videos of the shows and it was SO ANNOYING! Now they're putting up sets but obscure sets - by that I mean they are going back to '88 shows, from '85 and '89, some '91, but they were doing sets like this, FIRE O T MT., MIGHT AS WELL, BLACK PETER (BLACK PETER WAS ASS TRIPPED OUT)
Man, they were so good on the East Coast shows. I really appreciate these uploads⚡⚡⚡

Amazing how they could just segue from one tune to the next without stopping resulting in a non-stop 30 minute set.

Thank you SO MUCH for this beautiful video. Absolutely ripping and a beautiful memory.
I am on an elevated journey today and this "hit" the spot, beautifully. Thank you, truly.
Wishing you and all my fellow travelers here and your families a wonderful upcoming Thanksgiving and a beautiful holiday and New Year to us all.

I cry my eyes out when I crank this up on my killer stereo and I don't care who is here watching me do it , at first I try told hole the tears back , but it just makes the downpour more intense , I was at the closing of the Winterland in 78 backstage at the age of 15

I feel your paiin brother. Nights like this one when Jerry was feeling ît and the band brought there A game was why I toured from 1976 -80, then caught as many as possible till 1990. You never knew when the magic was gonna happen. There are no words to explain how much I miss those days. R.I.P. Jerry and Robert, your still making my days a lil brighter.

My pops was at this show when he was in the navy stationed in Norfolk. He ended up skinny dipping in a lake after the show with few women, didn't catch any fish but caught a indecent exposure citation with a medium drunk in public on the side

Man.... I gotta tell ya .....I've got chills runnin up my back right now. I've never considered myself a "Dead Head" per se... Sure I liked a couple of their tunes alright but now I think I might have missed out by not giving the "Dead" more consideration these past 40+ years
