    Incredible science - thank you for the overview. Picking up 1's this month. Oticons have been amazing workhorses - my current are 6 years old.

    Thanks. One of the few truly informative videos I've seen on this subject.

    Great video, very well done! I have a mild to moderate loss, I've tried Signia iic rechargeable, Oticon iic and Rexton iic. Wanted to be discreet but realize that in noisy environments they don't work at all. Two friends who have behind the ear products have told me that they don't work well in noisy environments either. I'm looking for a behind the ear model that might work the best in bars etc, would you say this would be the best one for that? Thanks

    Is the Oticon Intent 1 the same as Costco's Philips HearLink 9050?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should be, yes. There is very little on the record confirming this but based on what we know, this is the case.

    You didn't say how the Intent sounds with music. I recently tried the Oticon Real, and liked how it performed with speech, however it was unacceptably awful with music. I am a musician and audiophile, so I exchanged the Oticon Real for Widex Moment. The Widex are great with music, especially using the PureSound program. My Widex are also good with speech, and more natural-sounding than the Oticon Real that I tried.

      @meric12131415 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's because hearing aids in general weren't made for listening to music sure some of them provide good streaming quality but hearing aids were mainly made for speech not music

    • @pemical35uk

      @@meric12131415 In that case ,it is time some hearing aids were made specifically for music. There are millions of music lovers out there .Come on manufacturers get your act together! There is a large market untapped .

    • @HearSoundly

      Good question. They should adjust automatically as you move into different environments without any changes to your app

    I am having issue with the comfort of my new Oticon aids, my second pair. Can you educate me on mold making? My Audiologist is highly qualified but doesn't seem to want to make new molds. I'm getting feedback which I haven't ever had, and my ears want to scream with discomfort!

    I Love Oticon’s products, but I wish they could provide the disable battery option because I don’t have time to wait for the charging, not even 30 minutes :-(

Hopefully Phonak knew hearing aids that just came out. Have a good battery life. phonak infinio sphere see what they got

    Now apparently the top of the line aids are no longer available through insurance. As if they weren't expensive enough in the first place. Other brands will probably do the same.

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what Canadian clinics would charge but if you convert U.S. prices to CA dollars is around 6,200 Canadian dollars for a pair.

      @@HearSoundly I really appreciate you getting back to me with that price. That's a lot of money for people right now in our present economy. I hesitate to spend that much money on myself at this stage of my life. Seeing as you've been so helpful already, I have a another question for you. I don't think anybody has ever asked this before on any channel. Say, I decided to invest in a pair of these hearing aids and I were to die in a couple of months (I have already had one stroke) could I leave these hearing aids to someone in my will? I am dead serious (pardon the pun). Could they be adjusted for one of my children?

    All you did was repeat the marketing talk that Oticon put out such as 4D, even using their videos. Did you actually try them? I’ve have the Oticon Intent 1 for just over a week and am not sure they are doing anything different in noisy environments. I really don’t feel that they are reducing background noise and enhancing the speech of the person in front of me or where I am looking. All this 4D stuff sounds great but is it actually doing anything?

  • @markhardin3492

    Has the reviewer actually used them? If so, for how many hours? What I really need is detailed instructions in how to use the Oticon Intent 1 which has just recently been released. The Oticon videos were made by professionals who seem to be insensitive to the actual user and all of the things that the user needs to know to operate them. A video lasting minute or two or three just isn't very helpful. The short videos produced by Oticon are rushed and explain next to nothing.
    I've had my hearing aids 13 days now now and in spite of experimenting with the app and reading through the instruction manuals, I still have no control over the volume, either with the hearing aids themselves or the telephone app (I have an iPhone XR). The streaming volume is usually too low to hear well as well as being uneven. I consistently can't hear streaming from my phone with both ears at the same time. Today I couldn't understand anything from a podcast while on the train (light rail) with the ordinary noise of the train passing over the train tracks. The clip-on device seldom works although I have read and really tried to follow its instructions. And I paid $6400 for my hearing aids and accessories.
    I don't know whether these problems are persistent technical glitches or is there just a lack of available workable instructions to users or both. I hope to find out more when I see the audiologist again, but why is there no actually helpful information online? I've found a variety of lengthy reviews of the Oticon Intent, but none provide practical instructions on how to use them. Finally, the Intent 1 controls are complicated. You perform different operations by holding the same buttons different numbers of seconds. The varieties of colors that come on for the different operations are confusing. I suppose I sound stupid to folks who work with these every day, but I doubt that I am much less sophisticated than a good proportion of users.

    Merci. C'est mon premier appareillage bilatéral. J'essaie depuis 2 jours Signia C&go IX .
