I'm the first person to comment?
    OK.
I'm not a robot, just an eternal timeless entity traveling through time and space and reliving the moment when rocknroll reigned Supreme.
My message for this generation is to realize that you all have the power to change the world 🌎 by shifting your vibration and simply turning your dial to love. Just consider it. Spirit will respond and do the rest. It can grow into a pandemic for the sanity of the human race.
Peace ✌️ and love to all who reads this message from the future.

Looks factory to me. You'd have to add wood to lower horn of regular firebird to get that french curve carved out. Then route for binding and blend finish in. Not to mention pre routing for pu selector switch. Awful lot of work just to look pretty. Robin Hood probably on to something. Speaking of artisan Gibby's, I had a late 70s lp artisan custom 3 pu vine inlays walnut top maple neck . Pretty to look at. Played great, sounded like shit. Not a good wood combo for LP's. Imp. That fancy firebird sure sounds sweet tho don't it?😊

Bill Nolte (drums), Rudy Pompilli (sax), Rey Cawley (bass), Nick Nastos (lead), Ray Parsons (rhythm) and of course Haley himself are on top form in these clips at the height of the Rock and Roll Revival!

I got very Lucky. In 1969 Haley and the Comets were taking their farewell world tour. It was the last time the original plalyers would be together. In fact, they had not been unified for some time. I was at their agency in New York trying to find acts for THE SHOW. The agent said, "Would you be interested in Bill Haley & HIs Comets?" assumng I would not. As a guy who went to high school 1955-1958 this was a dream come true. When the band came on the set they were the nicest guys. "Where do you want us" and "Which songs do your want.?" I asked for Rock around the Clock, Shake Rattle & Roll, See you Later Aligator (we used it for the credits) and Rudy's Rock which I had heard only once. Haley said, "You got it!" I recalled back then for Rudy's Rock they went through a bunch of hijinks including going out in the audience. I asked if they still did that. "Oh yes," Haley said, "Is that what you want?" "Abosulutely" I answered. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

It is nice to hear from someone who actually remembers The Show, although I have heard from a few others including another Hershey High School student who was also a member of the audience. The Show was not at all polished product, though it was the first to put the Woodstock Era musicians on television. We who produced the series had never done anything like that before, so its gratifyng to know it had some impact. A year later we had all scattered to the winds.

They had Ford edge from Dick Clark's American bandstand and also beat club footage of when Mike Panera join the band from Blues image. Sometime in the 80s I went to see iron butterfly when they backed up savoye brown and Mike was back in the band again and after the show I had a long conversation with him backstage all about butterfly and he was the nicest guy in the world. But nobody can still play guitar better than the first guitar player of butterfly because he was a monster of metal. I have every iron butterfly album and they are truly an underrated band . If my failing memory serves me correctly Mike Pinera's 'Talk Box' was marketed as 'The Bag' by Kustom. He used it on the album Metamorphosis where this song comes from. My favorite Butterfly album. The concept of the Talk Box goes way back to the 30's or 40's.

While doing THE SHOW we wondered the same thing. All I can say is these were high school students from the 1970s, and when having the lights and microphones turned on and cameras pointed at them, did not react the way American kids fully up to speed with, the iitnerenet, computeres, monitors and cellphones would do now, 50 years later. Most of these kids didn't even own a camera! Perhaps afraid of being teased by frends and classmates because of some goofy thting they did on television, they felt they were safer just sitting there like a pieces of stone. We too were disappointed.

@@santeevideo I would have been one of those kids sitting there...not because I was afraid or worried what others thought. Music has been a major part of my life and listening conjures up great memories...hell I even played bass in a band but I never felt compelled to dance. I want to see who did what to make those glorious sounds that tickled my brain...I wanted to understand how they made those sounds. This probably will sound strange but I went and saw Kraftwerk on their Computer World Tour and was annoyed by everyone bouncing me around...I guess to each his own.

As a young TV director just learning the ropes, Iron Butterfly’s “Butterfly Blue” was quite the challenge. Unfortunately my camera coverage did not measure up, and I have been kicking my butt ever since… that’s 53 years worth. I have received many good comments about the piece, so I guess the music overcame my inability to control the shots. If in my career, if I wanted another crack at televising a song, that would be it.
