April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969. Originally based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the band enjoyed international success in the 1970s and 80s, releasing more than 20 albums since 1971.
41 years old, and I was blessed to be raised with such excellent music. Thank you, mom, for being one hell of a great mother!🥰👍

Funny story...missed the bus one day in high school...as I was walking back home a van stopped. It was the new kid across the street from Cali....he was headed to school and asked if I needed a ride. His van was a souped up side-piped custom with a killer stereo. He says: You ever hear of April Wine? I says "no". He says just got their new cassette "Harder faster" and slid it into the deck. He then proceeded to light up a joint and off we went.....been an April Wine fan ever since...the guy was jeff spiccoli before the movie came out...:)
I feel blessed to have been a teenager in the late 70's and early 80's because that was a golden time for music. I can still remember like it was yesterday driving my 1970 Chevy pickup through the Texas Hill Country with that kickass stereo system blaring out April Wine, Boston, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Rush, Styx, AC/DC, Atlanta Rhythm Section....the list goes on and on.

Me too….never heard it. If played on the radio, it certainly wasn’t played often. Brians vocals outstanding…..he could be the lead vocals in any band! These guys were one of my top 5 or 6 groups. Unfortunately, I never saw em in concert. They certainly don’t make classic rock like they use to. It was a hell of a ride. And great to see some younger up and coming people that get the classic rock era.
I’ve seen them play it live about 6-7years ago and Brian Greenway pretty much lit the fret board on fire he was playing so fast and wild. It actually gave me goosebumps 🤘🔥🤘
I remember when this album was released I was 15. Growing Up in Central NYS we were exposed to all the great Canadian rockers.

What an amazing band. They have never disappointed anyone with a bad guitar solo either. Everyone in the band was a kickass musician. so much talent.
I mean, I know a few people who can't stand "Caught it the Crossfire", but that's THEIR problem, not ours.
@@berserkrhadley Possibly the weakest song on the "Nature Of The Beast" album, but I liked every song on that album, and loved over 90% of it.

I was in Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. and they were playing this on the store speakers, had to buy it immediately...bought the record and went right home to crank it out on my SoundDesign system...neighbors were not pleased... best memory of my adolescence. Then had to copy it to a BASF cassette so I could listen to it in my 68 VW car. Had to buy the best stereo for my POS car, car sucked, but the stereo was awesome. Man those were the best times ever. Listening now, I close my eyes, and I’m there again...momentarily at least. I didn’t even see the players in the band till years later on MTV. Now we have You Tube, what a difference a few decades make, we live like the Jetsons now...can we survive with the music now? It will never be the 80’s again sorry to say. Maybe history will repeat itself.

1234 Question , the April Wine music you bought did U originally purchase an 8 track tape or cassette maybe an LP• ? and your Home Stereo I have heard of your sound system too, very nice ! I had to Buy my own if I wanted one, so I Purechase an Electro Sonic Quadaphnic,! You could buy special Quadaphnic Tapes These Tapes made the best sound I have ever heard at the time, my first tape was Steve Miller Band, ALBUM The Joker it was the only Quadaphnic Tape I could find at the time ! Wow reading your response brought all that up? Help me out whatcha think !
Great memories
I had the pleasure of seeing them for the last time in a small pub in my hometown just east of Montreal, QC, where they come from. This was back in 2003-2004. I think my years are still ringing...LOL! My kids in the car asked me why I love this kind of music, and I tried to explain to them that the musicians played real instruments and took the time to compose and write the music. Not like the crap they play on that sh** pop radio they listen to today, where the artists (they still call them that) press on a button to produce sounds that imitate instruments and sing just about anything that doesn't make sense. It's a tough road ahead, but they're beginning to see thing my way...at least I hope for the sake of good old R&R.
Rest in peace Myles, you were such a talented soul and your music will be heard worldwide for many more years to come. ❤

Honestly, I'm gonna have got to say April Wine is at the top of the list should be number one or number two in the old days and on up. That's my opinion one of the best.

RIP Myles Goodwyn! Been an April Wine fan for about 40 years! This is a great song with Brian Greenway on vocals and guitar.
I never paid much attention to this track 40 years ago. Brian's voice wasn't the band's signature, but to hear it again, I would never have guessed this was April Wine. Radio should have given this track more respect.

There's something bout this song....I've listened to April Wine before but the fact they did it at Lestudio the guitar solo haunts my ears!

They are in the Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I have been a fan since the I Like to Rock days. They have a huge discography, something like 32 albums and they are still touring every year. Amazing band.

Anyone else catch The LOOP shirt 97.9 FM Chicago. I for one am glad these guys and a whole lot of other bands didn't get over commercialized & radioed to death, flying under the radar can be a good thing for listeners maybe not so much for the bands income

This is a song I don't know If I ever heard it before but its my new fav. It has a very southern rock feel to it. I love this guys voice and didn't know there were 2 singers in the band. Truly they are a Canadian treasure and I just bought one of their cds. I am gonna need a lot more for highway cruisin. ❤❤❤
