Never ever have I made a comment on any TH-cam video I’ve watched. Play off 11 tried this on my last 2 rounds and it’s unbelievable. I can hit a good drive . But inconsistent… and then I start playing around with different things . This method was just blew my mind . I won both swindles £160. Up and hit 3 of my longest drives on my members course of 7 years . Awesome thanks

Excellent job Alistair in describing how to hit more fairways with Driver. I went to an in to out swing on an inclined plane at the beginning of the year. Since then, my driving has greatly improved. Since getting back to the gym, I am now picking up the distances lost during and after CoVid! Today, I may have missed two drives all day! Center cut is always Good! Well Done Alistair!!!

I started doing it 15 years ago via Moe Norman videos and my pals laughed. I was a very straight driver then but this got me more length. It makes you hit straight through the ball.

Alistair, this really worked for me,
I have been over the top-ing, slicing, then somehow gotten the driver "OK" the last year or two, but by this setup, after just a few minutes of trying, i got the swingpath and the 15% extra length also you indicated.
super excited to try it more onwards, thanks a LOT! Keep up the good work!

Great advice in this video. I started doing this since Rahm won the Masters two years ago and it works. Takes some practice to get used to, but gives you much more consistency once you gain experience with it. Cheers.

This is what I've also learned to do. Set up with driver at bottom point of swing......and it gets me to swing down...and naturally swing up at the ball. Produces nice shots....without needing to manipulate anything. I also stand reasonably tall...and make sure I'm swinging with my driver nice and extended.....so there is no excuse to pull the club in and bend an elbow.

I watched a similar video the other day and I took that knowledge to the range and it definitely made my drives way better. I’ve literally played 2 rounds of golf in the last 12 years. With this technique I was at least hitting 75% fairway drives. And if I did slice it wasn’t nearly as pronounced ( not on the wrong fairway beside me) I forgot how much I liked golf.

This was a big game changer for me. Really helped to go from a slight fade to either straight or a slight draw. Also helped reduce the hit impulse since I am not fixated at hitting the ball. I just swing through my spot behind the ball and let the club whip through. Also reduced tension and increased speed a bit with no extra effort! Please give this a try!

I've tried this and it does work. However I've combined this setup with Jim Venetos' swing method and it works even better. I'm 50 metres longer, never been able to hit a baby draw in the 50+ years of playing this game, now I can when needed.

Well, this is the Mo Norman idea that Rahm adopted when he won the Masters. And, I certainly would agree that the weight should be on the right foot, at address. And, the key to that has to be for the right shoulder to be below the left, at address. And, to do this the right elbow needs to be below the left. And, for me, the key is to hold the handle up with the left hand and place the right hand on the club from under the shaft. Cocking the head to the right, before you put your right hand on the club actually helps to position the weight on the right foot, also. And, if you activate the muscle in the back right of your left calf, so as to point your left knee in the direction that your foot is pointing, that will also, help to place your weight on your right foot. Stepping up to the ball with your left foot; and, then pressing forwards with the left side of your right pelvis, as you place your right foot in position, also, moves the weight on the right foot. And, to consolidate this raise your position, to look up at target; and, press down with your right foot. This helps to ensure that you actually look up at the target, which will, also, ensure that your weight is on your right foot. If you keep pressing forwards with the left side of your right calf, as you look up at the target, that will help to ensure that you stay on your right side. All this will combine perfectly to enable the left side of your right leg to push your body around in the backswing, just as it would push your body around if you were to turn to your right. And, to check that you can push your body around with your right leg, just stand with your arms by your side; and, push your body around with your right leg, without actively trying to turn your body, whilst focusing on a spot on the ground.

After I mastered the swing movements below the waist, I really picked up some speed and accuracy. You don't need a club or a ball. Focus on the tempo and balance of your lower body movements. I like Mr. Davies alignment rod speed drill, but only after you master the lower body movements. The movements above the waist are easy in comparison.

Open the stance slightly. Let the arms swing freely. Lower body will follow. Try some practice swings with your feet together to get a good rythem without swinging to hard you fall over. Last and hardest thing is your not trying to hit a ball your just swinging your club at it. When you try to hit you throw your shoulders before moving arms and hands
