1.6 is currently for me the most anticipated update of all my sims. If it holds what it promises I think I'll hardly playing any other sim that I have installed on my PC.
Thanks Rev - good to hear about this incoming update. With Raceroom and now AMS2 doing great updates - I will need more time to enjoy these developing platforms! 😉
@@ReverendSimRacing you’re right, I think the modern version is trickier, driving a 1970-71 917 is really tricky, immense power, shit brakes, heel and every down shift. Great challenge

@@ReverendSimRacing Probably something wrong with your IPD adjustment if you aren't able to slowly build up a tolerance to VR motion sickness. I had it bad at first as well, smooth sailing for hours now
@@ReverendSimRacing Had the same issue with my Quest 2 when I started. I DL'd an IPD app on my phone that gave me an accurate reading to use, which was a huge game changer. And then once I tweaked the graphic settings to make sure there were no dropped frames it was 10x better. Don't give up, VR is amazing lol

@@ReverendSimRacing I can't get my head around the tire pressure tuning system in ACC. And AC and AC and AMS2 seem to be doing a similar job. I found with ACC that i seem to send alot of time on the grass looking at where i just came from lol. I find the tuning in AMS2 more intuitive. I will be jumping on board ACC evo when that goes to market.
Tried a lot of the new stuff in Beta and there’s more then you think not saying what in detail more than one new track and quite a few more new cars . It’s a great improvement everywhere that I’ve noticed so far . But my GPU 3090ti lc wet the bed with all the excitement and has gone in for a warranty repair 😂
@@ReverendSimRacing mate get onto it, amazing game with awesome online racing. My experience has been really positive with people generally being fantastic to race (had heaps of really clean battles) and none of the NetCode issues you have with iracing. If you love Rfactor 2 ffb and physics and you love online racing then you will love LMU.
Absolutely love AMS2 but, the only thing in my opinion that holds it back from being my go to sim is that it has no rank racing. Lobbies just feel pointless after awhile.
Hi , I mainly use ACC as a simulator on the Pc , I have a workstation with T818 + SF1000 + TLCM as pedals and GT Oplite Superfast cockpit . I am very curious about automobilist 2 , but is there an offline career that you can take part in ? Are the online lobbies populated ? On Acc I race on LFM and some private leagues . Thanks
@@RaffaeleSanseverino LFM integration is due shortly after the V1.6 patch apparently. There's no official career mode but you can make custom championships. Online wise I've always been able to find lobbies but it depends what you like racing really. What I do like is Online I can race on the DLC tracks I don't even own as long one person in the lobby does ☺️☺️
With all of these updates what about optimization? I play only in VR and I run a 4070 TI super , with a i7 13700f. As it is, I have to play with the settings on a mix of low, medium and high to get it to run as smoothly as I’d like. I’m assuming a big update like this is going to tank performance headroom. Do you have any thoughts or any information on this? Thanks
Official information, none I have to be honest. I would imagine that you are GPU bound in VR? If so then most of the improvements in this update would be ran on the CPU (Physics updates, tyres etc..) so should not negatively effect your performance too much with any luck 🤞🤞🤞
All the new updates are fairly well optimized. There might be a small performance hit, but not much. The only big one is the extended grid sizes, but that won't be available if you con't have enough memory.
great overview but I don't think this is going to come out till end of october. Beta testers saying "theres still work to do" make it sound like that. Plus their inability to even post a blog, considering that they don't have dedicated people for it, speaks volumes. They're pretty busy, but hopefully it will turn out great.
Reiza is a 40 dev team not a 4000 team dev like COD for example and the guy who posts the updates - Renato - you might be surprised how many things he does and how many other has to manage, simply put the man has no time. I suggest you join the beta team to get more information and even talk yourself to the devs.

@@ReverendSimRacing I can handle FM7, PC2, F1 on controller but this game is like wrestling an octopus when in the Ginetta G40 on controller. Hope they can fix this up but I doubt it will happen. Shame as this looks like a banging game tbh
All nice and good. But in my opinion, there is an actual game missing. Its a beautiful looking hotlap and AI race simulator. But nothing else. It lacks what many Sims lack. A career mode. And I´m aware there are mods that offer this.

I´ve been a sim racer since the 90s, if you can call that a "sim" back then. But yet I´m missing a proper single player/career mode in our favorite sims. AC at least has the special events and a quite bad career mode. I know Reiza is working on a career mode but it seems like its not their main focus. It should be, if they want to make sales and money. Because 99% of the casual gamers are not interested in hotlapping.

I expect the problem is that most of the content for the main sims is only available as dlc; it must be pretty difficult to make a career mode when users might have wildly different cars and tracks. For the bike sims and WRC games, all the content is available at launch.

So most of this information is the part 1 write up from July. Not sure what the small update is. On the forum we’ve already worked out all the cars and tracks coming. This video doesn’t even mention the alpine which was announced a few weeks ago.
The small update was that the patch was now but weeks away, which the developer had not committed to before. You have my apologies that the video did not meet your expectations 😔
@@ReverendSimRacing was that update from Renato he has been very keen not to give a specific date. He’s stuck to the summer window. I’m not sure they will make the end of September. They haven’t got the dev blog part 2 out although I think that will be come the release notes, if they do make the end of the summer, northern hemisphere summer that is.
Cant wait for it, wish they would change the UI, this one looks so boring as if made for grade 1 kids to simple and font size too big really boring, rFactor2 new UI looks million miles better

AMS2 physics are shocking! How anyone can play this and be happy with how cars handle.
Everyones different, some cars don't feel great but then others feel fantastic, it's swings and roundabouts really 😀

I too would love to see the UI upgrade, it can make such a difference! I've not looked into the rFactor2 update, thanks for the heads up!
UI might also be revamped in the near future.
