    I added a few things extra!!! I also added citrus and a few slices into the bottle. The oil was a rich golden color!!! I applied it to my scalp and I’ll tell you the regrowth is insane. Great video, I made this about 2/3 years ago (I forgot I left the bottle underneath the sink cupboard and rediscovered this year so I think it made the oil a lot more potent when you let it sit for a while.

    I put my crushed hips in a mason jar with almond oil 11 days ago. I shook the jar twice a day. Today I put on lowest heat in saucepan on camping stove for 1 hour. Then turned off gear and left 2 hours. Sieved and poured oil into clean mason jar. Used hips thrown on garden near the roses.

    I wonder if you don’t have to cook them? Just add raw rosehips to the oil, and blend them. Leave for a couple weeks, then strain. Just wondering if you have to cook them.

    I am going this a go when rosehips are out again. I wanted to try and make some cold pressed rosehip oil with the seeds but saw a video which said it takes kilos of the seeds and special machine is needed. It is awesome to make an infusion like this. Baby Brucy has grown so much. Thanks for sharing 🥰

    Many, many, many years ago when I was a teen I discovered Rose Hip vitamins in my local neighborhood drugstore - I thought these vitamins was for your hips, I thought by taking the RH vitamins they would make my hips beautiful, full, round and lovely... I realize several years later that's not what the vitamins were meant for... Oh what a laugh I had... he-he-he-he-he...

    Hi, just come across your channel and loving your fun and family approach to sharing your knowledge. Out walking today came across lots of Rosehips and keen to make an oil with them. I was just wondering if you had found a way to fast track the process at all. It's just 4 hours is a long time for having the cooker on, especially with the hike in electric costs. If you have would love if you could share.

  • @JohannaVeerenhuis
    @JohannaVeerenhuis ปีที่แล้ว +1

    First, you all are adorable, no question. 💞
    Second, the reason why real rosehip seed oil is so expensive, is that it’s because all the tiny seeds from the rosehips have been pressed… imagine how many seeds you’d need, the work etc.
    Third, well that’s a question, how long would the shelf life of this be, considering you use fresh plant material (with water content) in oil?
    Fourth… yes, the freezing and thawing process makes the rosehips way more workable, but if you’d wait for nature to let the berries ripen more, wouldn’t there be way more good, beneficial properties in them?
    Fifth, yeah, you are all adorable. 😉

      You are so right.. you want to wait till the first freeze or frost before you pick the rose hips that's when they're at there maximum potency... Don't cook them either place the raw hips in a jar with oil place in a cool dark place for maximum 6 weeks anyways here's an informative video answers all you're questions
