In Hawaii, with its high Asian population, me being one of them, we wash our rice (about 5x) before we cook it in a rice cooker. I noticed you didn’t wash the rice before throwing on the pan. Can the rice we use in Hawaii do that also?
In Spain we use round rice (medium grain rice) and it is not supposed to be washed before cooking, but you can use your locale rice and rinse it before hand if you wish :) much love

The ones I used where Iberian pine nuts, but you can use any type of pine nuts your want, have a great weekend :)
