+Fortress Paul, I've watched all of your videos. I've also been working out for quite some time now and have gained strength... but I can't do a single proper pullup! I don't know if it's because I'm tall or whatever and keep growing (with very long arms) but I've tried most ideas presented and I just get good at that exercise, but can't do a pullup! Make a video to help a brother out?

I love your channel man, You're Humility and simplicity is what makes your videos interesting. You present your faith in way that doesn't make me want to bash my computer monitor and you give good fitness self help knowledge that focus on fucking materialism.
This is exactly what I said when I was young, but years went by, and no success, after belligerent attempts to have a good career, but always failing, really sucked the determination out of me. A man can only take so much failure. I only rest and eat now. I really have up. For those reading this, I'm not discouraging you from anything you want to accomplish...I wish you well, and the absolute best.

I have been following yours videos since 5 or 6 years ago. They help me with my english and my body. In the begin, I actually did not understand you, but now I can get your messages. I'm not a christian believer for many reasons, but I know the helpful it is in hard times. So, I believe in the respect and as you said, in some external and great force no matter what religion you follow. I really want to say thanks, watching your channel has really help me with a lot of things. Its motivating how hard has been your life, and how hard you worked yo sort your stuff. For the people who don't agree with what Paul is saying, then you are free to feel however you want. However, this is Paul's channel, he could post anything he wants to post. If he wants to post videos about fitness, he will. If he wants to make encouraging videos, he will. If he wants to express his religious beliefs, he will. If you choose to watch his videos, please just keep an open mind and accept the content for what it is, you don't have to agree with it, but accept the fact that he's going to post such videos because they are beneficial to some people (people like me). Paul knows what he's doing, so there's no need to argue about what kinds of videos he should be posting, if you don't like it, then don't watch it.

I enjoy your videos and I have taken your workout advice for a while. I've also noticed that there were always debates about religion and god in the comments, but I was never one to comment. I am commenting now because what you had mentioned is rather troubling. You mentioned how the belief in a god allows one to have an eternal vision - and if you do not follow this belief, then in 1000 years, whatever you did was irrelevant.
Personally, I do not believe in god. I have read books about the topic, watched debates and so on. I am always open to hearing new arguments, but the point remains that I do not share this belief. I do not do the things I do in order to satisfy a god - and I do not constantly try to improve all aspects of myself (health or whatever) for a god. I do it based on my own moral beliefs, which do not stem from a religion, but from past experience and peoples' wisdom on how to live a happy life.
When you say in the video, "What's in it for you? Nothing, you're dead" it's absolutely true. But as you also said in the video, you can leave an impact for people in the generations to come. More importantly however, I try to leave an impact and influence as best as I can while I am alive. I have the same intentions and need to better myself and do good to others as you do, but I don't need a god to do that. I do it for myself and for other people, and that is I think a more "honorable" reason then doing it for a god. You're dead whether you believe in a god or not, and though the thought is scary, it's just something I accept and don't feel the need to "soften" by introducing the idea of a god.

Lately the general direction in which the present generation seems to be going is extremely depressing. It was so refreshing and just nice to see someone like you still existing in our current type of society. Keep following your "inner-self" that you mentioned, its a concept lost on most people, but its not their fault. If I might suggest, try different meditation techniques from Islam, Buddhism, etc, if you already havn't, to build up that inner-self so that it can think of more profound ideas and the current ones in greater depth.

I agree with you on most of what you said, the only problem I have is that I don't have any goals right now. I don't know what I'm passionate about and I don't really have anything specific that I want to accomplish. So how do you move forward when you don't have a goal? I like having goals, but I don't know how to create one when I'm not desiring anything right now. Thoughts?

Yeah sure! Check out Ronnie Street Stunts and the Tapp Brothers, they both have great parkour tutorials and tips to get started and also have advanced stuff. Otherwise just go outside and just start practicing jumps, rolls and vaults and gradually you'll get better and you'll be able to do more and more stuff! Good luck!
The thing is, even with vision, at a long run it gets hard to mantain the focus. We lose the way we're on and we start to do things we regret. Maybe that's where motivation should come in and do it's work, to make us remember why we started doing those changes in our lives. And, I'm not religious, but that doesn't mean that everything I do in life is meaningless because I'm going to die. I guess it's important to leave a mark when I die. How do I want to be remembered? What did I achieve in life? And what impact did I make on the people around me, or, maybe, on the world? Those things are really important as well.

The fact that you believe in something that doesn't hold up to any sort of scrutiny, doesn't make your life any more worthwhile. Although I like the fundamental message that this video carried, which was to set goals in order to improve yourself and help/inspire others to do the same. This mentality requires no superstition and is what I define as the purpose of life.

i couldn't care less if there's nothing in it for me after I die because whether there's an afterlife or not I want to do good and help the universe and everyone and in it because i truly love everyone around me so if I've left this world a better place after I die or at least attempted to do so then I am content with the pursuit regardless of the happiness at the end of it
