You know, we see so much darkness and negativity in the world... how nice it is when we see a video in such a beautiful place, with people peacefully having fun. Your words to the guide were just so cool to watch. Congrats from a Brazilian living in Florida.

This is so beautiful it may me cry. Beautiful people hosting, beautiful landscapes, amazing experiences and to hear repeatedly that is was the best day of fellow travellers lives - simply amazing.
This is genuinely good for the soul. It's nice to see people getting along and enjoying each other's company. It's a reminder of a side of us that all of us have: we are social beings, especially in times like this. I always get emotional with the speech at the end and the gratitude you show towards the tour guide. They work so hard and they really have an important role!
I LOVED these 2 videos. My mom and I just finished them. We went to Iceland in 1967 and left in 1971. I went to first, second and third grade there at the A. T. Mahon school on the military base in Keflavik. We really loved our time there and spent a lot of our time traveling around and seeing the sights. I always felt like we were very lucky because we did not have to live on the base and so I was more embedded in the Iceland culture and had lots of Icelandic friends. When we were there tourism was not a "thing" but our Icelandic friends showed us a lot of local sights, like 2 caves called the grotto, and a place called Whale Bay., where we camped and my dad ran his "skivvies" up a flagpole on top of a mountain there. We actually did the ring road trip and camped our way around the island. My mom actually flew over Hekla while it was erupting and we have followed all the eruptions in the last few years. It's a good thing you went when you did since part of that ring road is now closed because of the lava flow into Grindavik.. I am so glad to see how tourism has affected the island. My mom and I have always wanted to go back to see it again and I've always told people that I would like to see it through "adult eyes" and for my mom to see it through "sober eyes"! LOL As you know those Icelanders like to drink and party. It will probably never happen, but watching your trip there was not just great incentive, but reminded us of just how beautiful that place truly is. Thank you for the inspiration and the memories!
Thank you for posting this! I found it searching for videos of the latest 2023 eruption. I did this same ring road tour in August 2021 with Intrepid-what a wonderful experience! The tour was a day shorter and I missed the whale watching and horse back riding and a couple spots due to weather and COVID testing (appointments for the return trip home) but stayed in many of the same places and had the same glacier guide. It was fun revisiting what I saw with a different time of year and a younger perspective. It looks like you had a very fun cohesive group of people.

Such a beautiful country with views out of this world. But the highlight were the whales. I was mesmerized, and I wasn’t even there. Awesome, awesome and I’ll throw in an extra awesome for good measure. A honorary mention to Waleed and his voice overs, someone should hire him for his voice.
Icelander here: You REALLY got crappy weather in the North of Iceland, but what can you expect in September? On the other hand, you were lucky in episode1 when you happened upon the Northern Lights! THAT one takes a combination of factors, like mostly clear skies (never a given in a maritime climate like Iceland or Britain) AND good sun activity! This winter (2023/2024) we have had a LOT of clear skies in the West Fjords - but a dormant Sun! Only the ghost of Auroras to be had. The Northern Lights are a fickle phenomenon, count yourself lucky this time around. The group seems to have bonded really well, with very positive vibes. This trip is bound to be memorable for all of you. I am a retired Icelandic domestic airline pilot (Ernir Air) that rediscovered my own country through the eyes of the tourists I took flying over some of our more notable attractions, lava-spewing volcanoes included. I can SO identify with Lárus! I imagine taking a just-hardened lava fragment as a souvenir is a given - we have plenty of it!
I'm super happy and super stoked just watching this ❤ Iceland you beauty 😍 this is on my top bucket list.. special mention to Karl excellent excellent work done on this series bro 👍

I have been fortunate enough to travel to Iceland twice now, and went to many of these places, however, this group and your special guide etc, have left me super happy with a smile on my face. Thank you so much! Everyone, Please go to Iceland, it is a magical place that is so other worldly that you will never forget it! I too would recommend travel to Iceland in October so that you have a chance to see the Northern Lights like we did. May is also a very nice time to go because daylight lasts so long and the midge flies around Myvatn lake are not out yet! (Avoid August at Myvatn due to swarms of Midge flies, that my son can attest to. Definately stop at the "Cow Shed" restaurant near Myvatn , like this tour did! It is fabulous! And try their Volcano Bread and a Brennivin! If you want to plan an itinerary, this one is great! Consider a stop in East Iceland at Estrahorn and Vestrahorn and definately ride a horse! Taak!

I know you can't do or see everything Iceland has to offer in 10 days of travelling but still all the places you didn't get to see are on my mind. I enjoyed your travel video; reminding me of my time there with my granddaughter's family. They are very sweet people and have taken me on many of these sights.. my granddaughter had a horse, she took me riding and I fell off; prayed as I fell that I wouldn't land on a rock or the horse step on me...only tore my rotator cuff! Beautiful sights! Sweet people! So much to see..the Lave Cave was phenomenal ....
