You are amazing. I was once married to a man that created doodles as fabulous as yours. He created a variety of awesome stuff. He would draw these. Ask the time. ALWAYS!!! Anywhere he sat for any length of time, he'd leave his mark. His journals were filled with his art. This didn't have a name back in the 70s. Now they are called "Zen Tangles" or "Zexn doodles". But I just called them "his". I don't have Karl with me anymore, but I have all of his art. I was so shocked when I stumbled upon your channel. I do lettering and was looking for one of those videos but the universe led me to go your videos. Thank you. 😊🙏
Betsi that is amazing work and your explanations make it possible for me to do my work. I am totally in chanted with what you are offering. I could never draw before. And now I’m learning to draw. I’m 75 years old and have slight tremors, and I am loving what I am doing. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.
It was so interesting and enjoyable to watch you create this drawing and to hear your thought process for composing as you go. I'm really looking forward to the classes that are to come. My only problem was, it was so relaxing and meditative to watch you draw and listen to your soothing voice, I found myself fighting not to nod off. I've learned so much tonight, and now I'm going to get some of what will probably be the best sleep I've had in a long time. Win-win.
The Lord be with you and all the Israeli's going through this terrible ordeal. Please know that many Americans are praying that this horrible war will be over before any more of you are hurt❣️
Thank you for your time Miss Betsi. I’m learning so much from you. I’ve already seen improvement and I try to create my own. Thank you again, it helps my stress to stay manageable.
I have learned so much from you and I am very grateful. You have helped free my mind and expand my artistry. Keep up all of your beautiful teachings. And congratulations on your new prospect of working with the rug designs. They definitely found a gem in you. You will succeed.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Having watched your videos, I tried incorporating some of these lovely designs in my neurographic watercolour art and it makes it looks amazing and very therapeutic. I am so grateful to you for sharing your talents. ❤
Thanks so much, this was an amazing tutorial! You gave me such confidence to explore this incredibly creative, mindful art form. I love your work - thank you❤
Thank you Betsi! I actually did the later class first and did this one. Anyhow, I love them both, I have to say I do like the structure for the second class more, especially the part where you show which pattern we will be using. I really enjoyed following your class and drawing with you! Thank you for making it free so it can reach tons more people. I really hope others are also enjoying it as much as I do. This is truly relaxing and I can feel the benefits from drawing whole bunch of lines to make art and feeling amazing! Thank you! I can’t wait until next class. But in the meanwhile, I will continue to practice!
Thank you so much for the feedback 🙂. I really try to pay attention to everyone’s comments so I can adjust the timing and the transitions. I’m glad you enjoyed the class. There are plenty more coming. 🦋
Hey Miss Betsi...Love your channel. I'm a photographic artist, and I find it very relaxing-'meditative' if you will-to do my work while listening/watching you. Very grateful...Keep up the good work...Peace. 😊 🙏
Between your videos and Zentangle videos I’ve learned so many different variations. Your methods are similar to Zentangle, who knew doodles could be so calming. I guess it’s the basic doodles we did as kids that draw us to these. Sometimes I get tired of hearing the term “I’m a CZT” on videos 😏
This is super cool! And I'm so grateful you're willing to spend so much time teaching your techniques. You make it look so effortless and simple when it's really anything but, the primary sign of a true and gifted artist. I'll keep practicing your different motifs, but they never seem to look anywhere near as good as yours. Your composition is quite elegant and masterfully executed. Can you sprinkle some of your artist fairy dust on me, please?
Laughing at both these comments 😂 thank you I don't have any sources for fairy dust, but watching the sunset comes close to being fairy dust in my life so maybe you could try that for now too
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your art video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I really appreciate the step by step, start to finish of a project. For just starting out I find it very helpful. Thanks again ❤
Do you ever get your ideas of household items I was looking at Tiles these tiny little tiles and it looks like your squares and then I looked at the door knobs and looks like those swirls it's crazy how you can look at things and see all kind of shapes even plants so many😃 have a great day thank you so much for sharing your video and awesome techniques..😊🌻
Yes, absolutely 😊. There are so many things around the house that can give you ideas. I was actually just looking at the ceiling fan yesterday while I doodled.
Did you come up with a cool idea.. it's just crazy I look at plants a little more in detail all the leaves are shaped different there's colors and textures it's beautiful. thank you so much for inspiring me to do a different kind of art🤗😊🌻😊🌻🤗
Hi Betsy, I’ve just found your channel, and I love it, so much so that I’ve already done 4 pieces using your technique. I’ll be trying out this one later this evening. Thankyou so much for sharing your art with us, it’s really made a difference to my take on drawing, you have truly inspired me 😘😘
I really enjoy drawing with you and listening to you chat. It's like we're sitting at a table together. I have a question, though. My pencil and eraser seem to leave far more smudges and unpleasant remnants on the artwork. Am I just too heavy-handed or should I be using better products? I am left-handed, as well. Would that change the composition for less? My eraser also lifts the ink from the paper, and I'm using a Micron. Yuk!
@@betsi_jae I've been using regular printer paper. I saw you fold and separate into four pieces. That helps to feel less intimidated by the blank surface.
@@jinoshiosote4049 i'm glad it's helping you to cut down the sheet into smaller papers. Definitely if you're using printer paper, you may want to sketch more gently so the paper doesn't tear.
@@betsi_jae This was excellent. It's really helpful to see the process from start to finish, and to have you explain the details so clearly. Thank you for all your hard work in making these videos.
I’m honored you would ask me for advice. 😌 I really haven’t been doing this very long, so i’m sure I would need to think about this for a bit. For now what can I can tell you is that if you want to start a channel, you need to be able to deal with a lot of frustration. The folks here are so beautiful , so I don’t really deal with rude comments much. However, using the editing software can be really tedious and frustrating. You might lose files. You might get really bad audio. Either way, be ready to record multiple times before you get a good video. I want to think on this further though, and I would like to dedicate a video to this discussion. I figure if one person is asking, then there are probably others who are wondering the same thing.
@betsi_jae I'm so happy that you found time to get back to me! I have found your art inspiring, and it's helping me get back into drawing versus painting again
You are so damn good in this kind of art. I may have to attempt to recreate this in procreate. Should theoretically be easier. If I do, I’ll tag you on instagram. Love to see what you do with neurographic art. You’d be a natural.

I edited my comment above after accidentally copying and pasting into the wrong spot and misrepresenting what I meant to say. 🤐 It's corrected now. ❤
LoL. I don’t think you want my fairy dust 😅. It’s mainly comprised of anxiety, graphite and glitter. It gets everywhere.

Hi Betsi thank you for sharing your talent with us. What’s the name of your ruler love Marie ❤
Thank you so much Marie 💜
Do you ever use the stabilo all pencil for shading?
I've also ordered some of your bulk pens you are using and I really like them! Very smooth, good coverage.
I just looked it up. I’ve never tried it. What would you say are its selling points?
They are very reactive with water; they smudge pretty easily when dry and have a really intense colour. I hope that helps.😊
What pen did you use? So many pens are available and I think yours is refillable
The pen I used is linked in the description under “30 pack bargain pens” =)
🎉❤
What pen are you usung please?
