  • In this complete class, I teach you how to create a layered look using various organic forms and doodly motifs. This drawing is created using mostly a simple ball point pen, done in an intuitive fashion. The entire composition is then finished using simple graphite to bring out deeper and more appealing shadows. Join me for this full class, and discover how it feels to create your own beautiful doodles.

    I found you in you tube, never heard about this kind of art. I love it. I am a tole painter, I can’t draw to save my life. So I went in to see what paper I had,had it all pens and all. I’m drawing with you.. you are great. My lines aren’t as straight as yours. This is fun. I am 85. Been painting all my life.

      I started Santangle a couple of years ago because of severe PTSD, for three years before I felt as though there was no hope for me, slowly I started to come out of the dark depression. Doing tangles and watercolor painting has helped immensely. Your tangle is gorgeous, you have great talent and I very much appreciate you. 🙏🏼♥️

    I am new I came across your videos when I was looking for how to do zentangles and I've been watching every video you have made so far. It is really out of my comfort zone to draw as I don't know how to draw at all. I tried doing my first picture from watching one of your videos and it turned out like nothing or not as good as your designs. I know it may sound like I'm being very hard on myself saying that but like I said it's out of my comfort zone to do. But I am trying. I have saved all your videos so I can look back on them later. I do love how you take the time out of your schedule to teach these techniques and it is very relaxing I just don't know how to get over my fear of doing these. Thankyou for taking the time to respond when you can. :)

      I'm so proud of you for breaking out of you comfort zone💕. I know how difficult it can be to try something completely new. Your hands need time to learn, your brain needs time to adjust. Trust me, if you wish to continue drawing, and you keep on practicing, you will gradually see changes and improvements. Be kind to yourself, be patient. 😊 I will be here to help as much as I can.

    I am absolutely in chanted. This is the first video of yours I've seen and it won't be the last. I've been doing Nuro graphic art and don't always know what to use to fill in the different spaces. You've given me ideas that abound. I have challenges with depth, perception and tremors. Somehow you make me believe I can do this anyway. They won't come out looking like yours and they are not supposed to, I will do me. I'm over whelmed with joy and gratitude.🌞

    Really enjoy your pace, details and suggestions! I found the ribbon pretty challenging for me the last couple times, I then decided I would make the 7s first...I'd make a 7, then make another 7 from the last, maybe longer, shorter etc. and it organically took on the right connections! It was so much easier for me.
    Thank you for your tips on shading and weight (what a difference that adds!)...
    I really like the contrast of dark and large light areas, too.
    So much fun. These shapes and designs are wonderful to do, that it's hard to stop drawing! Filling up a large space is doable!
    Thanks again!

    Hi, just came upon you this evening. Will have to check into more of your work.
    Would you consider this to be a form of “Zintangles”? I like your Journal. Was that some kind of scrap booking tape you used with the flower's? See you again.
    Blessings

      @betsi_jae  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you can call it Zentangle if you want. It's close enough. The tape is called washi tape.

    Hi Miss Betsi ... I watched this live but didn't participate but .... I was inspired and rewatched it and created a drawing. I haven't drawn in a few years so this was a lot of fun and I am actually inspired to draw again. I don't do social media although I have a FaceBook account. I would love to show it to you but I don't know how :(

    I’m fairly new to your channel for forgive my ignorance but I have to ask…. What do you do with your pieces after your done? Is there a market? Should be, they’re beautiful works. Sell prints maybe?

    • @betsi_jae
      @betsi_jae  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a good question😊. I keep telling myself I'll list up some prints on my website but I honestly keep forgetting. I'm hoping to soon offer prints, journals, and originals since the holidays are approaching. Ive always been bad at selling my work, I'm afraid, but once I get those things listed on my Gumroad site I'll make sure aure to let everyone know 😊.

    .....Also it would be helpful to know what are the dimensions of your piece of paper that you are drawing on....especially at the beginning of the tutorial so we can judge accordingly ...

    I'm 70 and drew this 😮 I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever draw something of this nature and I did thank you for your slow and steady art style. I can't cope with these ridiculously fast videos they are a turn off 😊

    • @betsi_jae
      @betsi_jae  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I do sometimes create videos that are a little faster, but I try to keep most of it slow so that those who are so inclined can follow along.
