  • This is a Camry like never before - it looks sporty and it actually drives well. But, it does have quite a few issues. Find out what Hafriz Shah thinks of Toyota's new RM190k D-segment sedan here.

I drive a Lexus ES250 and I believe this camry uses the same engine and transmission. Indeed the fuel consumption is good for its size and yes, my girlfriend’s BMW 320i uses more fuel. There’s something about small turbocharged engine that doesn’t reflect its small displacement.

Richard in Malaysia a camry is marketed as an executive sedan targeted to businesses to be used by top executives as a company car..the car itself is chauffeured by some owners...toyota here is quite different than in other market as we have premium models to compete with the entry level luxury german cars such as Toyota alphard/vellfire toyota estima toyota harrier toyota mark x and etc...price wise its quite expensive for RM190K as u can get a bmw 3 series for than price and yes it is weird due to the government insane tax on cars...for RM190k u can actually get a base model mercedes e class in the US...so basically those who can afford a camry are actually those from middle class or upper middle class family ...

Marc S It was mixed conditions, highways plus city traffic. Anyway it was the same conditions that I would get around 8-9 km/l in my C300, so it's a fair comparison.
If you're driving in the city exclusively, then yes 6 km/l sounds about right. But a small capacity turbo engine would do even worse, trust me.
