    Have never been a fan of the Camry, I think all the previous design looks so outdated but this.. this caught my eye. They finally stepped up their game in the exterior looks. I'd choose this over the accord anytime.

      @@egooi2012 Buying a drivers car is not about resale value, its about truly enjoying an engaging drive. Moreover nowadays, all makes of cars suffer from bad depreciation, if you are concerned about depreciation, maybe you should be looking at pre owned cars. Just my 2 cents!

    Drivers says that 180PS is underpower, you might need to think again. The only lack from the Camry is the head unit. Nice comparison, personally I would prefer Camry than a Accord.

    Good video! When I was in the USA an Accord / Camry is typically priced at USD$24,000 to $26,000. An Audi A4/BMW 330 is typically priced USD$38,000 to USD$42,000; basically its a +50% more for the German cars. In SG and MY the Accord and Camry is priced too close to the German counterparts , usually only 15% to 25% cheaper? So I feel Accords and Camrys are over priced in SG and MY :(

    • @ebenisherwin1423

    Come on 1.5 litre water bottle for Accord 1.5 turbo haha this is epic

  • @Rich9107
    @Rich9107 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If the Camry came with a 2.0 Turbo then definitely worth buying. The category is still relevant to those who don't like SUV and want the Space while keeping stable handling. The D segment is the actual do it all but its that customers have lost sight of that actual luxury comfort and sharp handling can actually be. To me D segment means "Deserving Segment", work hand and you wouldn't want any compromises.
    I might be the minority but for price definitely a Passat is an option but objectively the 2.5 is not a bad option as its reliable as it gets. Bit of an "uncle" thought but end of the day, the Camry brings presents versus the Accord is a Civiv with mid-life crisis. Its an Ah-Beng whose older and have to carry kids. 😂🤣

    Honda accord... As an ex owner of 9th Gen Accord. What I can say:
    Comfortness : camry
    Sportiness : accord
    Features : that power adjustable in camry with memory steering really cool. But
    Accord : walk away auto lock and can unlock the passenger side without key, bla.. Bla.. So much more. Not to forget. Smart parking system (auto parking), 360' degree camera,
    NVH:
    anytime camry
    Accord: even with Active noise cancelation, still behind camry in this area
    Gearbox
    Camry might have the dinosaur age transmission but hey. If ain't broken why fix it.
    Accord: CVT........! Wait what..
    It's spoilt for choice because there is nothing perfect in this world. Having said that, I will still have to pick either one. So the answer is...
    Honda Accord.. But why not camry if I need a chauffer driven.
    Hey Adrian, why didn't you highlighted the smart parking system in Accord. Even other reviewers also never touch on that feature.

Don't take my words for it research what other countries are getting for their Camry variant and you will see what I mean. UMW is shortchanging us.

    ACCORD:
    - More power
    - Less roadtax
    - Better fuel efficiency
    - Bigger Boot space
    - Better passenger legroom
    CAMRY:
    - Abit more comfort - Plushier seats
    - Better handling - TNGA
    - Reliable
    - JBL Sound System - 10 speakers
    - 6 Speed AT (Not CVT)

    The extra Chrome makes the Accord looked more elegant to the Uncles. Just like a stainless steel watch versus a black leather watch. Somehow Toyota still give taxi flavour in all models including the Camry. The only complaint for Accord is the car length, if I use it for my own driving.
    For the engine and savings of few hundred govt taxes, I choose Accord.

    Adrian, I like your channel. However I want to tell all automotive
    commentators to test the safety level, comfort level and cabin noise
    level of a car. We are not racer and we do not need racing test or
    extreme acceleration. Anyway, extreme test drive drives are dangerous
    and drivers might imitate on the road. This can cause great danger to
    road users. We dont need racing type test drive, ok. We dont want to
    know how fast a car can reach 100 km/h or some other extreme test drive
    nonsense. We only want to have data about safety, comfort and cabin
    noise.

  • @ameerhakim5383

    Hye..gd day..nice review bros...agreed with both sides... if you prefer comfortness for long drive and reliability...toyota should be in your list ...my dad owned it previously and now he got his harrier... (Tips: the worse damage for major service of toyota will be below 2k as per his previous camry ☺️☺️)
    But honda won youngster's heart by their eye catching looks and tech... As body roll might affect your ride..dun worry..just install front and back strut bar then it will be oK..(said civic owner)...Whatever your choice..is a smart buy...both models are worth your money..selamat membeli...hehe

  • @cedyy1
    @cedyy1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    funny how 'Alex On Autos' noise measurement shows the Accord to be quieter than the Camry in USA. wonder if local assembly has scrimped on some insulation that result in a noisier cabin.

    • @lawlaw9176
      @lawlaw9176 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      USA Accord comes with 2.0t which means they don't need to floor 2~3k rpm that much to get the same high speed, and we get the 1.5t so the noise will be more obvious when big accelerating...

    I already driven 5 Toyota car including the present car the ex model Camry. But I wouldn’t buy the new Camry because it’s like trying to cheat the consumer with super low infotainment and lousy safety system. The system is so lousy that can’t even compare against its Yaris. Paying 200k without apple car play or android auto and no 360 surround camera. If you don’t feel being cheated like a fool then go ahead but most of us will point at you on the street that another foolish brand idiots being cheated.
