  • Fun times with Mark and his X-Trainer, this was the first trail ride for me since October 2023 after almost rebuilding the whole bike. I thought I was up for this trail but I learned my cardio has taken a hit over the winter, it was a little much but still fun to do. The engine has quite a punch now and just sounds really good.
I'm really liking the new fork setup as well, my DIY valve job feels pretty good, I went out three clicks on the compression after this ride so I'll see how it feels next weekend hopefully. the dual piston front caliper actually slows me down too!
After this ride I also raised my idle speed up some. It is current jetted: 42/145, top needle clip. I ride from about 6,500' to 11-12,000'
Running Lucas Oil semi syn 40:1
I checked my spark plug after this ride and it looks about perfect.

Any idea how much weight to new forks took off that's the 1 thing I dislike about the 250 over the 200 it's a decent amount heavier

@shainwhite405 That's a good question, it may have shed a few lbs, I didn't weigh anything before and after. The 48mm forks are quite a bit beefier than the stock ones so they could be similar in weight. The bike doesn't feel any lighter though.

The best looking bike on the trail I'm sure! Glad you got a ride in on your fork swap and it sounds really good.
