Your videos have helped me tremendously. I have been on a weight loss journey and have lost 100 pounds. And had to dispose of all my previous clothes and buy new clothes. Your videos have helped me find my style and gear me towards purchasing new items with that and thought and not randomly buying just anything. Thank you so much!
Thank you Em for modeling how to stay passionate in the midst of heartache. I lost my 48 yr old brother to cancer 10 yrs ago and it changed my focus. I’m now living for both of us and far more engaged in my dreams and life. ❤
Hi Emily ❤ I LOVED your black and white power pants !! I’m thinking about you and your Bubba very much . Every time I pop my collars I think of you and your videos and what you must be going thru. You have guts and resilience to keep pushing forward Emily. Bless your heart ❤
Sending love and prayers for the loss of your brother. I lost mine four years ago. I love your channel and this community! At 61, I feel like I’ve finally found “my style” to be the best confident version of me! Keep up the great content, Emily! ❤️
Great video. I like when you talk about how to specifically achieve minimalism with your wardrobe. More videos on decluttering tips/strategies/organizing would be extra helpful.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers since before your tribute video. ❤ I had a feeling something must have happened for you to have been quiet here. And thank you for this video. As a gigging band member, I need several statement pieces for the stage and now I feel much better about keeping this many.. and constantly adding to them 😂
Emily thank you for acknowledging all the love sent to you. There’s no better way to replenish lowered energy from difficult challenges than the high frequency of love. And it goes both ways. After living in isolation for so long it feels good to be acknowledged by another-even though we’ve never met. I believe your videos about style and self expression have evolved. Sometimes life can push us into a more focused higher state of consciousness. Thank you for sharing what you’ve learned.
My heart goes out to you and your family. Thank you for your openness in sharing about your beloved Bubba. We memorialize those we loved by continuing to love. And you bring so much love and light on your channel, Emily. As to this video, it was helpful clarification about what minimalism means, and your personal examples helped a lot. Thanks!
I didn't know. So sorry. I lost my sister when she was 34. That's 30 years ago and still.....We were very close. I send you a very big hug from Mallorca! And thank you for your great and creative fashion ideas. Just the right stile for my age.
Just pure gold for my learning....I’m 62 and last year ‘rationalised’ 😁 my wardrobe, moving out 75% of it. I just kept things I felt good in and the result has been a complete style change.....which I’m working on going forward with so I needed the wonderful clarifications in this video.....honestly I’m loving the changes for me.......I’m meeting myself in a different way.....as in I did not know some bits of me and it’s sooooo refreshing & fun to be an intrepid explorer of myself again through my clothing !
Hi Emily, thankyou so much again for such useful content- I always get so much from your videos. I'm so sorry for your loss of your dear brother , sending love and strength to you and your family❤
The fit of my pants is my challenge. When I find pants that fit well, I purchase two or three pairs. I have a smaller waist than larger bottom. I repeat two different styles of pants ( boy friend - straight leg 501s) and have learned to be happy with edgy tops because of you! Thank you.
I love your videos. It is so difficult for me to get rid of things without then replacing them. I am a mood type of dresser. I had so much fun in my closet recently. Recreated some outfits with what I already had. Filled 2-3 bags to donate and have since already added more. 🤦 Maybe I will figure it all out some day.
Emily, can you please tell us about the bag you are wearing at time stamp 12:08 with the gold circular hardware? My husband and I were watching this video and we talked about your bag because gold circular hardware is my jam!
I’d love to see a video where you style some outfits without any black. I love black personally and your clothes. In the video with 67 outfits, only about 5 didn’t have black (if we don’t count the shoes and socks). Anyway, just a video idea - love your channel!
Thanks for this vid! I love your common sense approach to styling. I have a boho style with a romantic twist and I still religiously watch your vids because the basic principles still apply no manner what style you have. And yes….classic pieces are a must in any style wardrobe 👍😊
just really good! Made me think about why I like certain pieces & why i bought eg. costume jewelry but rarely wore it. - also why i struggle with parring down - while thinking minimalist or capsule…🤔
Emily, this is my 3rd video as I became a subbie three weeks ago. I really enjoy your point of view, and have dressed this way most of my life. Now 77, I have drifted away because I was afraid I wasn’t acting my age. I am not thin now. I am a size 12 and gravity has taken over even though I workout regularly. I see the pieces you have here and I think they are appropriate for me. Thoughts? Thank you!
I just love you to pieces, Emily… And I am praying for all of you… For comfort from God through this tragedy that doesn’t seem to make any sense. I’m so grateful you had so many fond memories of your brother, and I know that his personality and heart will live on in your memories, and as you speak about him in the years to come!hugs hugs hugs hugs hugs
This is such solid advice. I have gotten rid of so many things that I regret. Last fall, I sat down and wrote a list of all the items I’ve owned and loved before You Tube even existed. Lol It helped me to realize what MY style and preferences are without any outside voices. Now I’m 53, in menopause, my body’s changing but I know what’s truly me and don’t feel the need to waiver to far from that. I’m continually amazed by your strength and resilience during this time as you continue to move forward. Sending you love and hugs daily. ❤
Sorry for your loss. My boyfriend passed away on the 26th May my birthday. I miss so much. I need a change in my wardrobe. I think it would be fun to style things differently.
I really enjoyed shifting from clothes to mindset. Feel...better and able to think about what I'm doing. My most heartfelt sympathy to you, dear, and your family. I'm so sorry.
Curious, how to look edgy at 66 in dullsville, Ca. Don't wish to look like a freak trying too hard to look young.. By the way, i abhor white button up shirts , and also blazers. Too predictable and boring. I like the pieces i have, but lack knowledge how to style. I better watch again! Thanks. By the way, at least for me, the grief of losing a loved one, eventually turns into acceptance, but never forgetting the feelings of love between you both. That is the treasure.
Don’t know what exactly what happend to your brother but apparently he died. My condolences and wishing you lots of strength. also want to let u know I enjoy your TH-cam channel.
My biggest struggle is that while I have a large wardrobe, I end up wearing the same pieces over and over. BUT...these "same pieces" that I love so much are now becoming worn and threadbare, because (like the old adage says) they don't make them like they used to! I have a couple of matte black stretch jersey tops, that, like your pants, are my "power pieces." Dress 'em up, dress 'em down, wear 'em with everything, they are my "lifesaver" pieces. But I haven't even SEEN these types of pieces out in the wild for years now. What's a girl to do???
You're helping me so much, you have no idea. You're helping me embrace my natural love for black and white pieces. Keep it up, Emily!!
Even as an older (old) woman, I find your advice valid. I also admire your personal style interpretations. Good work, Emily.

Ow wow - very well done 🎉
I haven’t lost as much, down 70lbs, 20 to go but other than that, exact same!!
Me too!
Me too!
Me too!

This video is excellent without music while you’re talking. I can fully concentrate on what you’re saying.💕
I loved this video. Dispelled some of the myths about minimalism. Praying for peace and healing for you and your family.
Hi Emily ❤ I LOVED your black and white power pants !! I’m thinking about you and your Bubba very much . Every time I pop my collars I think of you and your videos and what you must be going thru. You have guts and resilience to keep pushing forward Emily. Bless your heart ❤
You are amazingly strong. Good for you for being so open with your grief.

Another FAB video, Emily! You're doing great 💕
Great video. I like when you talk about how to specifically achieve minimalism with your wardrobe. More videos on decluttering tips/strategies/organizing would be extra helpful.
Emily, there are no words. I’m just so sorry for your loss. Thank you for continuing to share with us. I know you are going through a lot.

I can't imagine losing my brother, even at my age. Hugs to you!
Thank you!
Noooo not the power pants...I loved those!😢
I feel more like this is a community because of your tragic recent events, too. I feel privileged. ❤ 🎉
I loved this video content. Super helpful. Also, I’m sorry for your loss of your brother.

I made the same mistake, too. I ended up with great basics and classics but no special pieces. My wardrobe felt very ho-hum. Now I know better!

Just tuned in to say hi, and to give ya a hug, it never goes away it gets softer...take care darlin
Sending you love and light. ❤
One of my favorite minimalist wardrobe videos ever. It was so well explained.
🥺Emily, subtitles are disabled, unfortunately. Can this feature be made available again?
I love your videos. It is so difficult for me to get rid of things without then replacing them.

Your wisdom shared keeps me focused and motivated.
I love the caramel color of your sweater.

You have helped us and hopefully we have helped you too. X
Love this video! So appreciate your perspective and energy, girl. Keep your edgy chin up, Buttercup!
Peace to your Baby brother Bubba 🚜 ❤ 🕊

Gotta tell you, Emily, your new book has to be about how to rationalizing a wardrobe. A best seller for sure (you can thank me later ;) ❤
I gasped when you said you got rid of your power pants. Will you replace them? Can hardly wait to see!
I can’t believe you got rid of your power pants, I loved them on you so much!

This is tremendously inspiring. Thank you!
Wise words!
Hi Emily, this video helped me understand minimalist wardrobe. Thank you for sharing Sendíng love and prayers for you.
Nicely done, Emily. My closet is decidedly lifeless at the moment. I’m going to think about adding something bold or novelty!
Sending you love♥️😘
Excellent video ❤
Loved this! Also, will you please do a video on comfortable, yet edgy concert outfits? Thanks.
Great information, thank you!
I didn't know about you loss. Condolences.

Lovely vídeo ❤
You got rid of those vertical striped black/white pants??? But you loved those pants!
This was such a good video. It will definitely help me to create a minimalist wardrobe that represents me.

Have you had a personal color analysis and if so, how much weight do the results give you in choosing your wardrobe?
Dear Emily,
I sens you my deepest condolences. It’ s a tragedy. I take you in my arms, and send you light from south of France.

What about babysitting two under 3….
But. The beetle juice pants are in a better place….gone. Bubye😊
I'm so sorry about your brother. Thank you for steal making videos .
