hi my puppy just got 7 months, his ears are cropped but the owners before never really posted his ears so they are floppy right now. I just started a week ago with posting am i to late with posting? Please help
What happens if the cropped ear flops inwards on the head my puppy is 5 months old. She had posts removed two days ago now she’s back in posts my vet said she will need a survey called a tie down but one is standing the other flops inwards what do I do is this necessary another surgery
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear you are having issues. I have not experienced this and am not qualified to answer. When you say her posts were removed 2 days ago, what kind of posts was she in? I know every puppy is different, some even keep posting for a year or more.
Ur probably not wrapping it correctly they move around so much , it took me a few time to get the hang of it , an if u put a cotton ball stick it to the side of the post ,in the area that is folding it will pop the ear back out , pulling the bridge to close will cause them to fold also .
@@JoselynHernandez-mm9eg you would want to catch it early, cause once the ears pocket and cartilage hardens you cannot fix it, they will stay like that, this is why it is recommended to not post straight up but at 11 and 1 on a clock
The flap naturally has that crease. Flattening that out would be painful for the puppy, and it would also damage the ears ability to stand. Under no circumstances should that flap or fold be flattened.
Thank you for sharing, We did not crop our Doberman ears, but this is by far the best technique!!!
Thank you! It does work well, and is fairly easy.
How make you dog stay his post ciz im having hard time to make his post his ear stay???
@@2829baby Patience, pets, and treats. Make sure to massage the ears and scratch inside for them, they like that!

It’s called a pocket, you made the bridge standing straight up or even the ears close to each other which made the ears pocket
@@devinyt6481is there a way to fix the pocket?

Why is it necessary to leave the flap?

@@benchamberlain5985 Thank you for explaining

My puppy's age is 5 months 26 days....
Can i crop his ears now ?? And will it stand if i maintain posting?? Please help
No, that is past time for effective ear cropping. The cartilage in your puppies ears has already solidified so cropping would not work.

What kind of tape you use
I'm using paper tape & its garbage
I'm looking for something a little stronger
Use a good athletic tape, don’t buy the cheapest stuff. 3M is good
